    Why is bill russel not in the goat debate? I don’t care if he played during the “mailman era”. He had 11 rings, 5 mvps, I forget how many finals mvps. He beat wilt in almost every time they went up against each other. So should he technically be considered in the goat conversation? Plus he played during the racism era.

    Hearing you complain that if Lebron wanted to, he would have won scoring titles. Works both ways. MJ if he wanted to would have been 3 pt shooter specialist. We know this because MJ started his career with the bulls running the point. The triangle offense asked MJ to develop a post up game. Which he had none before Phil Jackson strategy.

    Sorry buddy, you're one of my most well-respected youtube NBA analyzer but you lost this debate at the 4:40 mark of this video of the graph. You said MJ winning 9 more Scoring Titles means nothing to Lebron's 1 because he chose not to be a scorer but an All-Round better player. If thats the case, how come MJ has more championships in less years?

I didn't even watch all of Lebron early career, but someone out there watched both MJ and Lebron and has a real idea of whos better. I'd really have to have watched Michael to say.. but its funny how this is the best Era for sure. (2000's-)

    My personal ranking is LeBron
    Accomplish: MJ because of rings and mvps
    Longevity: LeBron-He’s been dominating for almost 20 years
    Winning: MJ-Even though a lot of the time he had a way better team than LeBron
    Stats: LeBron-In LeBron’s best season he averaged 27.1/6.9/6.3-In MJ’s best season he averaged 28.2/6.5/5.9
    The “Eye Test”: LeBron: I think he has way more athleticism

    • @aryanvenkata3047
      @aryanvenkata3047 Год назад +1

      bud these aren't their best season wym?
      MJ's Best Season: 32.5 8 and 8 or the season when he averaged 37 ppg
      Lebron: 31 7 and 6.5.
      Also how can you say that LeBron was "way more athletic"? MJ was one of the most athletic players of all time. I'd say that he has the eye test since he was a global icon in the 90s. Lastly you cant say that Jordan had the way better team, he was the one who made those teams great and lebron has had great help as well.

      The eye test isn't about who's more athletic... i don't think LeBron is more athletic than MJ, in fact MJ for his size is incredibly strong (you have PF and C's grabbing him and he still makes the shot) but at the same time is incredibly graceful, nimble and quick.
      The eye-test is for a normal fan... when you watch the game... who your eyes see as the best player in the court. LeBron fails the eye-test because he isn't always the best defender in the court and he often have "hiccups" especially in the older years and even slack on defense. MJ can never ever be accused of slacking on defense, especially in critical games.
      MJ is always the best offensive player in the court but heck he is also considered as the best defender if not at least 2nd. Definitely amongst shooting guards in the history of the game... there are very few who can say that they're a better defender than MJ... that's why he is on multiple defensive team and even winning DPOY.
      That's why the eye-test leans towards MJ, day in and day out whenever he plays.

    • @douglasspooner1258
      @douglasspooner1258 Год назад

      Well who a fans eyes think is better is also up for debate. But LeBron is more athletic. He spends a million dollars a year on his strength

    1. If Lebron had won 9-9 finals the conversation would be NON-EXISTENT. So that means the fact that Jordan DID go 6-6 has to have *A HUGE* effect on judging.
    2. You can’t say *”IF…”* cuz if “IF” was a 5th I’d be drunk…The fact Is Jordan won hella scoring titles & Lebron didn’t. Even if he could have that would cut deep into his other stats. Having to space his energy out & everything changes statistically. Jordan loses in the stats that matter least. But once you get into his statistics the scoring holds more weight by FAR. Then you do DPOTY & all the other stats. You can’t say “Well, Lebron could have averaged 35pts a game” because HE DIDNT lol. It’s super easy to have this conversation nowadays. It’s becoming even
    more evident now.
    3. You talk about teammates. Lebron has had more HOF Teammates than Jordan. He hasn’t kept those teammates because he hasn’t been the closer of important games most of the time & the morale ends the same every time. Like, the worst teams are having to rebuild because superstars leave. Like all the time season after season. If Lebron built a Dynasty somewhere it would have been different. THATS THE ISSUE! In all honesty that’s what people are really trying to say. He doesn’t deserve as much credit because he has had seasons where he’s blown up teams & had to restart franchises because they blew it in the finals I.e Lebron not closing and then not taking full accountability and fixing it next season. I’ve never seen in any sport a guy being so damn dominant, yet all we hear is “If…” if lebron didn’t pass the ball to Ray Allen they lose another championship but “IF” Lebron didn’t choke in so many finals they would had won more. Just strengthening my argument that the word “IF” CANNOT BE USED when having a true meaningful, thought provoking & rational debate of *WHO IS THE GOAT*
    So if now… *Michael Jeffery Jordan* will be the God of Basketball until someone comes around who changes the game drastically, builds a franchise around that person and wins a lot of rings W/O as many losses and gives us a sign of that *Mamba Mentality*
    In my humble opinion I have a top 5 *GREATEST OF ALL TIME* List. But it’s going to be w/different positions.
    *PG• Steph Curry*
    *SG• Michael Jordan*
    *SF• Lebron Jame*
    *PF• Tim Duncan*
    *C• Shaquille O’Neal*

    The fact that he didn’t show the statistics and Jordan dominated in everything 🤷🏾‍♂️ numbers don’t lie I rather have a guy that has lead his team to 6 championships and could’ve gotten more if he didn’t retire twice and when you speak about longevity Lebron has played like 7 more seasons than Jordan and Jordan is still right there with him is ridiculous Jordan is the GOAT without question taking 6-0 over 4-6 any day and Jordan has never went to a game 7 in the finals either

  • @chickenchipee2330

    Man says Jordan’s not good at passing but when he played point guard he averaged 10 assists and in the 91 finals averaged the most assists by a player for the last 30 years. If Jordan wanted to he would pass but he didn’t want to cause he wanted to shoot. Lebron doesn’t wanna shoot, he knows he’ll miss. Man also says that if lebron wanted to he could have 10 scoring titles. I can use that exact same logic for Jordan. If he wanted to he’d average 10 assists. We gotta stop living in fairyland and actually analyse the true statistics. Stop saying he could’ve done this and he could’ve done that.

    About Defense thing Jordan is better defender he won DPOY in Big Boys Era and you think Shaq, Robinson, Ewing, Olajouwon would be SCARED of LeBron NO about driving defense you literally blame that Jordan is Shorter, I would give Eye Test to both Its just diffrent playstyles MJ at his position was Shooting Guard SHOOTING ITS ABOUT SCORING SHOOTING THE BALL, LeBron at SF is like Pip versatility both on Offense and D its 3-1 for Jordan or 4-2.
