Glad you , blue and ponz are trucking along! You’re doing your thing as you always have and will! The most important thing is that you do your best and that does a lot for all those that you interact with, Patient and team.
I really enjoyed this video, because it gave a thoughtful and deeper reflection that medical students (like me) can use to anticipate what professional life will be like. It stood out from other similar titled videos which describe the same routines without giving meaty insight we can take away and incorporate into our preparation. Great work. Keep it up!
so excited! im a premed and i work at penn presby so its always fun to see u post! (and interesting cause i work nights as a cna and i like rarely see the doctors 😂)
Newbie here. What's the difference between, intern, resident, and fellow as a resident doctor? Is this a hierarchy of some sorts? Congrats on getting your MD!
intern = first-year resident. resident = doctor who has completed medical school and is training to independently practice in their field. fellow = graduate of a residency program who is now completing advanced (subspecialty) training.
Good question but hard to say - every order has its pros and cons. Ideally for me - harder rotations would be dispersed evenly over the course of the year. And I think my schedule was… but even then.. every person will have their own opinion on what “hard” means!

In retrospect, what would be your ideal order of rotations for inter year in Gensurg?
Good question but hard to say - every order has its pros and cons. Ideally for me - harder rotations would be dispersed evenly over the course of the year. And I think my schedule was… but even then.. every person will have their own opinion on what “hard” means!
