Really small world. I went to Peabody High School with Seth's dad and the guy on his left was on a TV show that I once did. Back then, he was using his real name: Michael Douglas. Don Brockett called him Mikey, and I thought he was great. Lost track of him after he moved to California. Not until the Batman movie came out did I realize that Michael Douglas had changed his name to Michael Keaton. (He had to because there already was a Mike Douglas in the Screen Actors Guild, and also Kirk Douglas' son Michael.) Pittsburgh is the world's most amazing small town, disguised as a big city.
I love Michael Keaton. Yes, people say Batman or Beetlejuice all the time and he's the greatest... but it's his other films, it's him being a director, it's his awesome personality. Huge fan for a long time!! Keep rockin', man.
I love Michael Keaton. He went to my grade school- St.Malachy, went to my high school- Montour & was born at the same hospital I was born at too-Ohio Valley General Hospital. So I can say he's from my hometown
Michael Keaton is such a cool cat, I honestly don't know what I was expecting because I've always liked the guy but in this interview I feel I've learned he's a lot more grounded than I imagined. Awesome Batman too!
the most surreal moment of my life was when Michael Keaton walked into my job asking for directions to a wedding. I gave him the directions, we snapped a pic, and then he was off.
As of fellow Pittsburgh native, I would have loved to hang out with Michael Douglas(yes that is Keaton's real last name, he changed it when he got his SAG card) Lovvvvvvvvvvvvvve Brokers!!!!!
I was in Florida at a hotel during breakfast and I heard the accent and turned around and said yinz from picksburgh? They said yea so we had breakfast together 😂
Seven years later, I just heard that line for the first time and, even though it was appreciated and got applause, it was not possible to give that line as much credit as it deserved. And award-worthy piece of quick comedy brilliance from Seth.
June 23 1989 ..will never forget the date...My local comic book store rented out a movie theater and we all saw the midnight showing. What a great happy memory.
I haven't seen much with him, but i'm starting to really really like him !! Michael Keaton here, kinda reminds me of a real-life 'Creed' from 'The Office'. A COMPLIMENT.!
This is oddly the second story I’ve heard of a Pittsburgh schoolboy punching a nun. The first was a story my dad told me about one of his classmates who punched a nun. Definitely not the same guy because Michael Keaton and my father are not the same age and they grew up in different parts of Pittsburgh so went to different schools. Yeah, I don’t know what it is about us and nun-punching.
I, too, in 7th grade, witnessed a male classmate, in the desk in front of me, punch the nun who, in a not uncommon sadistic rage, was literally choking him, with his bolo tie, the ornamental metal piece pressing up in his gullet, he, unable to breath, arms frantically flailing, finally managed to claw her arm and deck her to get her to stop. i swear to this day, had he not been able to get the upper hand, she wouldn't have stopped.. A few days later, during one of her maniacal rampages, she cracked me over the hip, twice, with a wood pointer, similar to a pool cue, leaving a 4 inch bruise, because she disapproved of my reading comprehension answer, after which my incensed parents decided to have me transferred to public school, (better late than never) wisely cautioning me to keep it a secret. with my classmate friends, while in process, fearing retaliation by the nun involved, should she get wind of it, which I did. My father met with the school principle, also a nun, regarding the physical assault and pending school transfer, expressing that he did not want her to disclose this matter to the nun involved, until after I was gone. Next day, this nun, assaulted this same male student who had defensively punched her, days earlier, taunted him about being a baby and whining to his parents. Evidently, the school principle disclosed a visit from a parent omitting the student's name and wacko nun concluded the student must be the one she came close to strangling. for which she mocked and beat side to side with he wood pointer, with him clueless over what the eff she was ranting about, while I watched.. These sick twisted sadistic bitches all had it coming. I wish I had punched all the nuns from grades 1-7 that assaulted me and my fellow classmates. We'd all be different people had we been spared this ongoing psychological and physical abuse in our formative years. .
I am from Pittsburgh, went to Catholic school K-6th, and I did NOT know that you must go to confession first before you can eat that tasteless wafer. hahaha! I was committing a sit soooo many times, and not even realising. So happy I'm not religious anymore.
Best Batman ever! Great actor, great film and it had the best joker ever 'jack nicholson' 'this town needs an enema'.....Spotlight, another cracking movie!
Michael is also related to my buddy Adam Zimmer from butler Pennsylvania which I know have learned that Michael have some type of Hispanic or black or Indian in him that from another country. His grandmother was not from here I believe or it's the great grand mother.
The Steelers are indeed....really America's team. For wherever they play..... be it anywhere in the USA.....30% or more of the stadium will be Steeler fans.
I remember when they announced M. Keaton was going to do Batman. We ALL were astonished that Mr. Mom was going to be the caped crusader!!! Well... He did a super job!
Mr Roger's Neighborhood was a Pgh WQED production and there offices/studios are right next to Central Catholic HS. But I don't think Keaton went there, his Wiki says he went to Montour HS. Out in the burbs.
My social studies teacher (yrs ago when I was in school) told us his classmate got punched by a nun when they were in high school. Yes I'm from the Pittsburgh area.
Stephanie J From the sound of it I imagine you do nt play football frequently ? Also that is nt an excuse but fact which is why Pats QB Tom Brady was suspended 4 games this season *face palm*
Danny Steeler as far as Brady goes he had a solid case and was tried in a biased court full of haters(arbitration) sometimes you have to play the haters game 4 game suspension, (where the Pats won't 3 games , yeah the Patriots are that good!even without Brady) TO WIN!!😄
Stephanie J Please use proper grammar even if this is nt your initial language :( Apparently they are nt that good since they suffered a loss w/o him during that suspension & it was not a bias court during that trial , in fact much of the media thought he got off easy w/that minimal suspension *non spoiler alert*
I've got my Pittsburgh pride! Love Michael Keaton Here We Go Steelers!!

The Story of Punching The Nun By Michael Keaton is Priceless!
"so quiet you could here a nun drop" I lol'd
Seven years later, I just heard that line for the first time and, even though it was appreciated and got applause, it was not possible to give that line as much credit as it deserved. And award-worthy piece of quick comedy brilliance from Seth.
Finally Seth Meyers gets someone worth watching on the show
I enjoyed hearing about Pittsburgh, with Mr. Rogers especially from Keaton.

Punched a Nun, sounds like someone from Pittsburgh. I live there, I would know
My social studies teacher (yrs ago when I was in school) told us his classmate got punched by a nun when they were in high school. Yes I'm from the Pittsburgh area.
I liked Johnny Dangerously

But what happened after he punched the nun?
Whoa you don't like the Pats?
Of course not , Deflate Gate !
Danny Steeler learn your science and facts plain and simple losers want to believe any excuse
Stephanie J From the sound of it I imagine you do nt play football frequently ? Also that is nt an excuse but fact which is why Pats QB Tom Brady was suspended 4 games this season *face palm*
