Keaton is that rare thing : a Genuinely Gifted dramatic actor - with a bona fide background in comedy, who remains capable of everyman, common, relatable yet his own unique brand of humor. So good to see him back in the talkie business
If you want to see Michael Keaton at his very, very best.... There was a TV movie, I think, called 'The Company" . The Company: With Chris O'Donnell, Alfred Molina, Michael Keaton, Rory Cochrane. Real-life figures from the Cold War-era mix with a fictional story based on a group of C.I.A. operatives and their counterparts in the K.G.B., MI6, and the Mossad. Based on some true events, I think it is the absolute best from Keaton. Not to spoil the movie but it had a hunt for a double agent in British intelligence (true story) and a 30 year plot by the Russian gov't to attack the USA thru financial means ( true story). The Russian plot you have probably never heard of but you will recognize the month that it supposedly happened and which day of the week! (You will have your own 'lightbulb' moment once you put the pieces together). You won't regret seeing this piece even if it is 6 hours long in 3 parts.
A remarkable acting career, going from comedy movies to serious roles. (I first saw Michael Keaton in Night Shift, but my favorite is Johnny Dangerously, you bastages and iceholes!).
I saw him in Rabbit Test and then as Kenneth Christy from the Mary Tyler Moore Hour. I wasn't too impressed by Rabbit Test. My son and I loved Beetle Juice and Batman, even though the critics dinged him for his molded chest Armour.
Finally, someone has mentioned Multiplicity. I’ve been a fan of Michael Keaton forever. I’m 69. The script was excellent and his timing was impeccable. Oscars is a rigged award event some winner are very deserving. And then the Michael Keaton and Kevin Bacon among others with so much range don’t get enough appreciation. My two cents. Thank you for showcasing this terrific performer.
If you want to see some beautiful saddles the Sawtooth Saddlery makes some lovely ones. I like the Hope and Missouri models. I really loved this interview with Mr. Keaton.
Can everyone have more Michael Keaton at all times? I really feel like if Micheal Keaton rode a horse through Kabul, everyone would just drop their guns
Really, if you did blow your entire budget on the rights to Vanilla Ice "music", lame Mets graphics and random walk-on speaking roles; then Seth, your team could finally offer real LIVE guests rich delicious pies. Like Fallon. Really. Hey Buckaroo, perhaps all that time spent in Amsterdam could finally be put to real use on something really important...pick a taart.
Man that owned his own horse ranch, just to play around and ride them for fun, says "I'm not a giant consumer of things - I actually don't need a lot of stuff". He said it deadpan, but he gets the irony of that statement, right? I mean, I'm also not a big consumer of stuff and that's why I always ask my servants to polish the crystal chandelier in my palace with generic hydrogen peroxide. Not that expensive Dijon crystal cleaner.
I would smoke weed with him, though it has to involve not passing the covid to the left hand side, and then we could talk about pies. Pies are best served with weed. I have weed, no pie. This is beginning to make me think about quality of life. Apple pies, rubarb, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, even the hair pies of 1970's yesteryear. Cheesecake is disgusting and should be illegal.
You’re an idiot. Before Michael Keaton and Tim Burton, there were no successful representations of dark superheroes on the big screen. Batman (1989) and Batman Returns changed everything. Michael Keaton’s Batman is the one that’s most like the version in the comics, and if you like Batman: The Animated Series, well, it was inspired by the look and feel of those first two movies as well as Keaton’s portrayal. Keaton and Burton dared to take risks by doing something that was really different at the time, and the impact on the film industry has been nothing short of seismic. And by the way, Keaton and Kevin Conroy are still the only ones to nail the voice. Christian Bale’s vocal performance is incredibly distracting and often hilarious.

Michael Keaton is truly one of the greatest.
Near incomparable range.

@@MrYoubrian … feed mayonnaise to tuna fish. 🙂
Hes so amazing, yet so grounded, normal and unpretentious. Love him
That’s the most remarkable thing about this talented man.
Great actor. Wish he wouldn't cuss during interviews, though.

He will always be Mr. Mom to me. When I do electrical work, I'm always thinking "220...221, whatever it takes".
One of our family favorite lines EVER is a line from Multiplicity where he says “My life is in shambles…. I need pie.” You should have known, Seth!
Back in my day, Michael Keaton starred in Night Shift with The Fonz
Multiplicity is one of my fav movies. I’m awake!
Keaton haven't aged a day since Batman Returns. And he is in his 70's! :O
Really?
He will be exactly 70 on Sept 5th.
🤯
- Montana must be good for him, he's aging backwards.
Clean living, no drugs and limits alcohol.
Respect where due:
Brad Cooper (who Michael thought he was talking to) is a certified badass of leatherwork in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Thank you!!!
Michael Keaton played the most (to me) memorable villian ever in "Pacific Heights." Pure evil.
Seth has to talk to Bradley about this the next time he comes on. I’d love to hear his side.
That's a hilarious story going, to be a fly in the room! @bradleycooper
Keaton's one of the best.
“Look at how happy he is.”
That’s pretty baseline for Fallon
You are my batman Michael. And I can recite Mr Mom almost word for word.
A remarkable acting career, going from comedy movies to serious roles. (I first saw Michael Keaton in Night Shift, but my favorite is Johnny Dangerously, you bastages and iceholes!).
Me too! Then Mr. Mom
I saw him in Rabbit Test and then as Kenneth Christy from the Mary Tyler Moore Hour. I wasn't too impressed by Rabbit Test. My son and I loved Beetle Juice and Batman, even though the critics dinged him for his molded chest Armour.
Great movie!!!
“Feed mayonnaise to tuna” is a favorite family line
Actually he went from standup to comedy movies to dramatic roles.
Love you, Michael!
And Dreamteam don’t forget!!
Great call-out. Dream Team is a very entertaining movie.
I have no faith in the "Academy"...the fact that Keaton doesn't have an Oscar is a travesty.
You'll always be my Batman Micheal.
Unapologetically the best Batman. And the best Mr. Mom.
Yeah still very salty about him being cheated out of his Oscar in 2015. I swear all the signs were pointing to him winning!
@JR1505 God, that was a great one. Deserves a rewatch.
THIS!!
Sorry, he was the worst. When most of the face is covered with a mask, you don't pick a guy with no chin to be Batman.
Keaton could still pull of Batman xD
Would be fun to see older and crankier batman who has lost faith in humanity
The only problem is that a short-sighted Hollywood would think he is better suited to be either Alfred or Commissioner Gordon.
…you’re in luck. He’s genuinely back.
He's coming back in the upcoming Flash!
@@ClownScreams Oh wow, had no idea!

Perfect. All I have to do is wait now.

Mr. Mom on VHS was my go to when I was babysitting.
Such a great storyteller
How does he still look so young?!
Runs every day and has kept at the same weight for 40 years.
Michael Keaton knows ALL saddle terminology. 😁😁😁
Give this guy a pie!
My friend Charlie: When I die make me into a saddle, above a good horse, under a good woman.
0:54 I love keaton. I wish he was in more stuff. I think he he could really fall into some great roles in his non-front-man capacity
If you want to see some beautiful saddles the Sawtooth Saddlery makes some lovely ones. I like the Hope and Missouri models. I really loved this interview with Mr. Keaton.
I didn’t hear him mention this company🤔 He’s talking about Cooper Saddlery in Buellton, California
That pie line was so Letterman like.
"F**k yeah, I love pie"! 🤣
Love Multiplicity and Mr. Mom @MichaelKeaton #MichaelKeaton
The whole time I'm thinking wtf is he babbling about, but the end was worth it.
Mr MOM!!!!! omgoddesses he's got the Tucci with him!!!!
Look how happy he is....... that's his fakeness, it's so beautiful, his fake laughter. No one pounds on the desk for no reason..... Fallon does!

he's got weird speech patterns. but he's cool. a little like Christopher Walken.
ROFL! Too funny! Love you both! --KateColors
Get the man a slice of pie, Seth! :-)
This is why Norm Macdonald loves him
He means Thai Stick from southern California in the 1970s.
Night Shift!

What, no love for Mr. Mom?
Maybe not putting the punchline in the headline would be a good idea. Just saying.

So silly. And one of the many reasons I don't watch any Late Night TV anymore.
Yeah, Fallon would react that way at a funeral. He's the most disingenuous person I've ever seen.
Seth and Amber are so much better
Yup! Fallon is annoying and his laugh just seems fake. Seth is way better.
yeah but is he in no way home?
