@@mitchell7309 You can't compare Nolan's hyperrealistic ultratech action movies with Burton's comicbook gothic/dystopian films. It is not in the same bowl. Each is great in their own respect but for me Burton's style is more true to the original
@@klipser66 yeah I can. YOU just made it sound like they’re in a class of their own, when in reality, the Nolan films are better made films. Critics and audience consensus. I’m talking about their overall quality objectively as films. From script, to cinematography to acting. I’m not talking about the take on the material and even then as a fan of the source material there’s more flaws with the Burton take particularly in the second one. Like listen bro Michael Keaton and the 89 movie were not only my introduction to the character. They were my first movie in theaters. It’s the movie I’ve seen the most times in my entire life. I love it with all my heart, and I still like the second one, even though I have more issue with it, Michael Keaton was the best and my favorite Batman for most of my life. Christian Bale was a better Bruce Wayne and the Christopher Nolan films were better representations of the character and better films. Think that’s kind of obvious. Two things can be true at the same time. Michael Keaton being the best performance as Batman and the Christopher Nolan movies being better films about the character. And at this point it doesn’t matter anyway, because Robert Pattinson now is clearly the best Batman ever put the screen both in terms of characterization and acting performance. Which is stunning considering he surpassed Keaton’s Batman and Bale’s Bruce Wayne. Batman 89 is accurate to the fair early Bob Kane golden age original material. The Nolan films are very accurate to the 70s bronze age material, with dashes of some of the modern interpretation. Overall, the Nolan is both more faithful just adapted into a more believable reality setting a heightened realism so they are not only the films, they are overall accurate. Batman Returns is borderline off the rails of everything. That is Tim Burton putting himself above the material. Dedicated to a made up character, not even from the original source material. And the most entertaining parts come from Michelle Pfeiffer‘s performance as Catwoman
Have always loved Michael Keaton he's an absolute legend loved Mr. MOM AND Johnny Dangerously and still think he was the best Batman!! Just love that he's just a reagular dude like all of us!!!!

I just realized Keaton wasn't acting during the Batman '89 scene in Vicki's apartment when Bruce tries to explain to her, he is Batman. That's how Keaton talks in real life! He is very expressive and speaks while he is formulating a picture in his mind of what he is talking about. He has to give a complete background story in order to explain something that isn't complicated. Often this leads to him going off on sort of a rant that leaves the listener a bit confused as to where he is going with the conversation. I think he simply played himself as Bruce Wane which is why his performance was so down to earth and likeable.
Michael Keaton is such a classy cool dude ,,,so unlike most celebrities and not sure if many people have seen Birdman but brilliant acting and great movie !

Right out of the gates, Michael Keaton brings up an old school hooper, Connie Hawkins! Grew up in Bed Stuy, NYC, could jump sky high, had enormous hands, and was Dr. J before Julius Erving became him. Unfortunately, the Hawk was wrongly implicated in a gambling scandal and got blackballed from the NBA in his prime. I highly recommend reading Foul! which tells the life story of Connie Hawkins. Eventually made it to the league, but could have been an all-time great.
