      You are correct. He seems to have landed in the perfect spot where he gets a second chance. I think he was overwhelmed with different coaches and changes of offensive coordinators and a terrible offensive line in chicago. And the blame went entirely on him, which often happens with the quarterback. But he's good in pittsburgh. He has Steeler Nation behind him. And we're all rooting for him. We need a QB of the future. Since big been retired we have had no one. I mean Mason Rudolph kind of got crazy at the end there last year and I'm sad that we lost him. But great to see Justin Fields get a chance. @@hros6825

    I live in ILLINOIS and have seen firsthand how TERRIBLE Chicago is for a young QB; I always thought he would flourish once on another team, but I didn't expect it would be with my STEELERS. I'm ALL IN ON JUSTIN FIELD #2 as a "TALENT & a REALLY GOOD DUDE", SIGN HIM!!! Remember, how Cowher utilized BIG BEN at the beginning of his career, he grew into the 300-500yrd games; it wasn't overnight?!?! As Justin gets more comfortable with this offense/players, things will open up, IT TAKES TIME!! OMAR, Get this man a SOLID WR2!!!!!!!

      Agreed. I don't blame him for being guarded with the media. Unfortunately, sports media is largely operating like celebrity gossip these days. No different than the gossip mags you'd see in the grocery stores. Which is unfortunate. All that matters is what 'insider sources' are saying and breaking news or alluring headlines.
      Cam does a great job with his interviews on here and getting his teammates and friends to open up comfortably.

      100% It was tough being a Fields backer during pre-draft. The hype behind Caleb was unreal and Bears fans totally bought into it. Except they didn't realize that
      1. Fields never had talent around him to prove that the Bears ever even built around him.
      2. Comparing Williams as the next Mahomes was a trap b/c Williams isn't gonna get developed by Andy Reid and very servicable veteran Alex Smith. And idc if u get Williams three WR1s, it doesn't matter if he doesn't have the senses to throw to these guys or an offensive line that will hold up long enough for him to develop!
      So here we are, and it's looking like Fields wasn't the problem after all. Sure, he definitely lacks in areas as a passer, but you could definitely win with Fields, especially with our current defense. Also unrelated, y did Poles get rid of Monty 😭

    • @johnrowell4882
      @johnrowell4882 3 месяца назад +3

      @jaboy8603 I totally agree with you. Getting rid of Monty was a mistake. Getting rid of Fields for Caleb was a mistake. I watched Caleb play and I thought he was good but I wouldn't say a generational qb by any stretch. I felt that we should have traded the No. 1 pick again and got a haul that would have set us up for years. I would have drafted MHJ and beefed up the offensive line and got another edge rusher to compliment Sweat. Had we traded the No. 1 pick, we could have filled a lot of the holes we have. However, Fields wasn't drafted by Poles or Flus and they wanted they're own guy under center. I think they were more focused on saving their individual jobs than the franchise they were hired to turn around. Just my opinion. Glad JF2 is 3-0 though.

      @@johnrowell4882 I'm a Steelers fan for life and have buddy who's a Bears fan.... I talked so much trash on Fields' play and my buddy asks "are you gonna take all that shit talk back".. absolutely not. His play in Chicago was bottom tier. Yes his athleticism showed but you could almost bet on him throwing the game away at some point. I am happy to see his the progress he's made as a professional after coming to Pittsburgh, it shows how coaching is so important. You can see in his play how each week the "game" is slowing down, that can be attributed coaching, a balanced offensive scheme that is working towards his strengths and setting him up for good decision making. His play so far in Pittsburgh looks so much different than in Chicago, staying in the pocket and reading coverages and understanding the offense. I'd like to see him mix in some more of his natural instinct and athleticism he showed while in Chicago with his ability to make big plays on the ground. You can tell Arthur Smith is having more confidence and starting to open up the play calling each week. Very excited to see JF2's progression every week.

But now I`m a big supporter of him cause he really showing signs of progressions week by week. Go trough his options than run when nobodys open - or just stand a second longer and find the open man. That`s really impressive and I hope we found our future qb.

      Yup. Just converted into a Steelers fan this season. Can't believe the Bears and (a good amount) of our fanbase slandered Justin the way they did. And now they're surprised 😂anyone who has a clue about football knew Caleb had some red flags from college. He has a tendency to be erratic (see Notre Dame game), questionable pocket presence, and trying to play hero ball sometimes. And the Bears are plugging in this raw quarterback with a below average O-line... everyone shoulda seen this coming. Now he still has time to grow, but man has he not looked like a #1 pick!
      Good luck Pittsburgh! Hope Justin makes it into the playoffs with you guys! If your young O-line can hold up, you'll be golden

    My first watch, loved the show. I subscribed and shared. Loved the Justin interview. I'm a Buckeye in Columbus so you know us folks in Buckeye Nation love our guys and we follow and support all of your careers because you blessed us with your talent and became part of Buckeye Nation. We loved Cam and Justin, gee, seems like Cam was just playing in the shoe. We are so happy Justin found a great organization, great coaches, and the players, and the History. We all saw Chicago was a Shit Show I gas The Lord wanted him to go through. Now he put him in Pittsburgh and he is playing so well, Buckeye Nation is behind him and it looks like he now has a good fit and is home. Just keep playing the way you are you don't have to take chances, it's simple just keep moving the chains no matter if you just pick defenses apart with the middle and short passes. Remember at Michigan The Buckeyes kept using the quick slants and outs and screens and the ball was in receivers hands so fast they just ran by the defense. What I have learned watching you being precise getting the ball out of your hand in 2.7 seconds or less, and not fumbling nor taking sacks you are playing like you did at Ohio State. Just show patience, and after you dink and dunk them you can throw that long bomb that you always threw so accurate. Cam you have made Buckeye Nation so proud for so many years. You are a Hall of Famer. Not sure if they got you in the Ohio State one yet, if not, it will be. Justine can you please do the O-H- sign when you score. We love that when our Buckeyes do that, it shows us you are proud to be part of Buckeye Nation. C.J does it some as do the Bosa boys and the one that has done it most is ZEKE. Of course some of our guys do it from time to time. Anyway, great show, loved the fun y'all were having and that it was in a casual environment. We be watching and supporting y'all. God Bless You. Come to Columbus and catch a game on your bye week, we love seeing our Buckeyes on the field and in the Stadium.

    I believe Mike Tomlin knew that back in the day that Russell Wilson kind of mentored Justin Fields when he was in college. And when he had the chance to get both of them. Knowing that Russell Wilson would not be the cube of the future. Because of his age. Nothing against him. But that we had them both here and he could physically Mentor Justin fields. It was the perfect marriage between a young QB and an older experience QB with talent. Mike Tomlin is totally underrated for some of the things he really does. Like he had to have known that. Also, like every time when we would play the Ravens and he would yell at Patrick queen, you're not a raven. Knowing one day Patrick Queen would be in his defense. Mike Tomlin just has so much clout with a lot of these players that are not even on his team. He's so underrated for that.

He`s tending to hold the ball to long and behind this line he would maybe sacked a dozen times. Let Fields start and see how far we can go with him. What I fear is the drama. Russ is a proven champion but also a proven diva. I don`t think he`s willing to sit the whole season. Cause he need a new contract and on the bench...You know what I mean.
