Not many remember this...but Lovitz and Hanks had some good SNL sketches together.
For some reason they had good comedic chemistry together.

I was just thinking about that. Wouldn’t it be great if the two of them did something together now? Even if it was just getting together to do a cameo of a couple of their old characters on a new episode of SNL?
Yeah, yeah, I remember, I used to write sketches for them on SNL, and on AOL, well, that was before I because president and king of channel 2, 5, 7, & 9 then I didn't have time to write as many funny sketches for them.
They were in A League of Their Own. Lovitz had a small part but a memorable one, Ernie Capadino : I don't want you, I want her, the one that can hit, you can climb back under the cow.

This tab opened up randomly when I was in another room and I thought "what is that gorgeous music??" for the first seven seconds...! Then I realised it was an SNL skit haha!
Most refreshing thing about this to me, when Tom Hanks enters, no over the top cheering and applause from audience like happens today whenever a "celebrity" enters a skit. Yes, I'm a grumpy old man.

John Lovitz was hilarious, as the devil and the liar. Even his face was funny. He was so obsessed with Morgan Fairchild. I always watched SNL during the 1980s.

I worked with a couple of brothers at a car dealership and they were a lot like these guys. One of them was a lot porter and the other was a salesman. Once I realized this I never let my guard down.
