Acquiring marks in SV can be just as much fun as well as difficult as finding a specific shiny of your wishes.
Marks are less rare but also just as hard to find, and offer some nifty titles to Pokemon when tossed into battles.
Reshiram takes a stab at trying to help people acquire these marks.

My first mark was the friendship mark for my gholdengo (he was my ace raid pokemon in scarlet) so it was kept on my team, I only noticed it since it suddenly said when I entered a battle, "Go! Gholdengo the reliable partner!"
I had that too! Same went got Persian.
itemfinder mark is officially obtainable as of the first dlc's release

You have some incorrect info regarding the Partner Mark. The mark can be awarded to multiple Pokemon in your party at once, not only one at a time, since the chance is rolled for each of them. A Dreepy Egg takes 5,120 steps to hatch, so you actually need to hatch two of them to "measure" 10,000 steps.

Partner Mark is such a pain in the butt
it is a pain, but when you get it, its so worth it~ especially if it is one pokemon you really like and has been with you for a long time~!
I got it on my shiny rayquaza randomly when I tranferred it in lmao I didnt even realize

Been running my switch for 3 days straight waiting for my maushold to get the partner mark, I have 255 friendship on it (I have the friend mark) tho it wasn't the only pokemon in my partner, going to try again with it being the only pokemon in my party
Lmao i recently caught pecharunt and i was leveling it out by using let's go and it gets the partner mark i never knew it was so hard to get i also got the same mark on my shiny Hydrapple recently both in indigo disc DLC in less than a month lmao.
I saw the Partner Mark on my shiny Golduck. I'm not even sure how I did it, so I wanted to see how anyone could even get the mark.
max friendship with a pokemon in your partner, run around the world... it takes... a while
you might get lucky and get it within as little as a few hours without realizing, or take up to '50 days'

I didn’t even realise I got one until yesterday, for my shiny oricorio named Pomm Pomm!
Actually, a Dreepy Egg takes half the steps you said, at 5120. The number of steps for an Egg Cycle was cut from 256 to 128 in SV, making the usual 10240 steps for a Dreepy Egg brought down to half. So you'd have to hatch 2 separate Dreepy Eggs, to go over 10000 steps. Just a heads up, for anyone trying to get any Partner Marks. That said, I found that going in a circle at maximum speed on Koraidon/Miraidon, you'll reach 10000 steps in about 5 minutes & 40-50 seconds, or just 6 minutes flat, if you have low or no lag. Good luck!

I just want to get the Partner Mark on my 6 Primary Pokémon, and it's because I've gotten it on one of my Meowscarada's(not the one I use most, unfortunately), and my Shiny Hunting Breloom, but I just want to get it my main team. No luck yet, sadly. I've made notes, though. TOO MANY.
@@FedoraReshiramGaming Also, I realized this: You can just hold a single direction, in the middle of the Cortondo Olive Roll Field, if you get in a good position, making it perfect for an AFC, or an away-from-controller setup! Just found that out, a couple minutes ago! Best of luck!
Does the berries not longer increase the happiness but lowers an stat?
they still increase happiness and lower stat, but they will have no effect on a Pokemon if
1) the pokemon is max affection to you
2) the Pokemon has no evs in the berry's stat to lower
if your pokemon has evs in a stat, but max affection to you, they'll work but won't increase happiness anymore, same with the reverse, if you have no evs in a stat to reduce but your pokemon isn't at max affection, the berry will work and raise affection, but won't reduce any evs
Can you get the birthday mark in conjunction with other marks, such as the teensy mark?
i don't think so, maybe, but the odds are 'very narrow'
@@FedoraReshiramGaming I was thinking maybe with the right sandwich it would be possible, but my birthday is September 20th,so not exactly around the corner as it's February 2nd now.
I had been hunting for marked Pokémon once and ended up with Teddiursa who had the Uncommon Mark and I was able to give him the mini mark as well.
I really loved that. I had a sandwich prepared for both mark boosts.
Of course I gave it other ribbons as well: definitely the Sinnoh Champion Ribbon before I evolved him into an Ursaluna in Hisui.
I often do things like that: giving them marks in games their final evolution are no longer allowed in later: Ursaluna is not allowed in BDSP. It's a cool little feature.
Does the pokemon need to be out of it's ball to get the 10000 steps and the Partner Mark?
No, it just needs to be in your party, and you need to walk 10k steps with it at max friendship (aka if you use ev resetting berries and it won't work) for you to get partner mark, but it 'may' take a while because you have no idea 'when' it will happen
