@ 2:48 He holds his IE M pressing into his ear at this point in the song at every show, but doesn't reach or prepare for a high note. I'm wondering what he's listening to or for? You gotta love a huge rock lineup and huge production. Thanks for sharing! 👏🫡🤘
The ear piece is so he maintains on key with the rest of the band. When he goes higher in octaves it is harder to hear when to cut off so he presses it in so he can hear better.

@jkhuskies09 the "earpiece " is called an In Ear Monitor, or IEM. Of course it's used to hear himself. My comment read, "Why does he shove the iem into his ear at this very point in every show if he's not preparing to reach for a note or contribute to a harmony" ( for the 2nd time).
@@6Toe It’s probably a custom fit IEM that is not working well. It wouldn’t surprise me that Journey is cheap and doesn’t want to pay to get a better fitting device.

Arnel was over used, he dont have to sing so rampant and it is so evident that he sound so exhausting, singing in a live open aired venue was so hard for any singer, i wonder why the band keep on letting arnel to perform without enough rest .

Personalmente pienso que es un abuso y falta de respeto , es un vocalista a sueldo, es verdad que beso lo descubrió pero en más de 15 años ya lo ha pagado.

Those amazing Journey songs take a toll on their lead singers. In a few short years it has shredded Arnel's voice. But, man, he had a great run where he was nailing those notes night after night.
This is the sad exit of what LIVE MUSIC used to be...PACKED STADIUMS, WAITING OVERNIGHT FOR TICKETS w/ur Friends...other than POP STARS (i.e."T.S."), no bands from OUR ERA could even fill the 35k seat Inglewood Forum. It's like nobody appreciates SHIT anymore.😢
yeah yeah yeah we know...steve perry was fantastic but you're such a purist then gregg rolie should be given credit as the original lead singer..and arnel has been the frontman longer than perry had been...THIS IS JOURNEY
