lol, no. The joke was me telling you to watch your mouth when you were just discussing the basic circuit of the pedal, not being rude. Corny joke on my part. Womp womp.
Picked up one on a whim for $60 the other day and couldn't be happier, theres not a bad tone to be had with it. It will be staying on my board forsure!
Lol... Perfect! No Joke! I just finished watching a couple of guys I love! You've been in their room. And with less than 4 pedals on their board and two iconic to-die-for amps... my mind boggled and I gave up following to simply listen. But here Josh, right here is the guts and soul of the thing! Distortion!!! All I need on my board beautifully controlled with just three knobs and a toggle. That's the stuff! That's what I need!!! Thanks... Sam
“Filter” tells me this is a Rat(?) I personally prefer the Ibanez Sonic Distortion (I built a clone to put on my board, but now I see Maxon is selling one).
I always thought my bright switch was wired backwards. Always seemed like the bright setting was kinda dark and toggled up sounds brighter to me. However your settings sound the same as mine.
I have all 7 of the initial 3 Series pedals. Distortion and Overdrive sound extra-good with the Compression pedal's "Sustain" cranked. ❤ (The 3 Series also appeals to my need for the pedals to be symmetrical. 😂 You can customize them with paint, stickers, and markers, too!)
Find a pedal that sounds better at the same price point..I'll wait while you find out there isn't one..the most complimentary pedal for me is a joyo vintage od, but I don't use them together..it's usually one or the other but they do pair ok together just at what point do you need that much background noise going on hahaha
Hey man, can you make an effect pedal that embodies the sound of Ministry guitar in Stigmata? That would be handy. I can do it in Guitar Rig with a virtual effect called Mulholland Drive which also has a built in noise gate but i don't know of a pedal that will do that and would like to have one. thx man! i enjoy your youtube show and appreciate you and your work.
@@-jank-willson that’s why they have an on off switch; there are times when you want sustain and times when you want to play the silence between the notes which is just as important at times as the notes themselves. Listen to the guitar sound which i think might actually be a keyboard in the Herbie Hancock piece called “Rockit” for a good example. With a very high gain distorted sound as the one i mentioned in the Ministry piece, Stigmata a noise gate is essential. I do often play that Mulholland drive without the gate though, it’s good both ways but it’s handy having that built in gate at time also. It’s not a very sophisticated one, it’s literally on/off but it’s good somehow, at least for my taste.
trying to prove he's not a complete hack... that comment really got to him..... Or is he trying to make some cash to get guitar lessons? Let it go Josh!! lol

Of course, it _should_ have been called The Nameless Pedal.
Love the jag!
Sounds great
Clear sound I miss from Boss DF-2
3 series are the best sounding affordable pedals!

Sounds excellent 👍🤙✌️
Can you make a metalzone clone that has a Wah pedal connected to the midsweep?

As a no-talent hack connoisseur, I totally want one! 😊
So like a ds2
Kinda general question I know, but would you say that this could work with a bass?
Where did you get that strap?!
This video means it's simply not selling well.which out of all of them...can ya blame the market?

only issue with noise gates, is that they destroy your sustain

Can anyone confirm if this is essentially the All American or not?
Made In USA!!! Yes
@@DamianS1893They had a pedal called “All American.” It’s said to be Rat-like.
