JHS should start selling sticker sheets for each pedal. Sell them for $2-3 per sheet. Or $10 for all of them. Get fans to submit art for stickers.
Neat idea. Have you told JHS, yet?
@@JakeSweeper I have not.
That's a brilliant idea. I actually was going to buy a ghs sticker when I bought that delay pedal. More just so I can see it better.
@@NH-nj3nw tell them bro, thats dope
That is a neat idea. A great way to customize the 3 series pedals.
Hey Captain, Economics Professor here: When you save costs by producing a larger variety of products (but that are maybe similar) it's actually called Economies of Scope. Economies of Scale are when you save costs by producing more of the same product. Hehe, sorry, just had to leave that comment ;) Love your reviews!
Yes, the economies of scale is referring to the individual components right? You are producing many of the same knobs for example
Sorry Professor!! :)
Economy of time demands that it wasn’t the Captain who actually replied to this comment. 🤣
You tell em professor!
Actually, he's referring to the chassis and the knobs, along with the input jack... And since they ARE all the same product, the Captain is correct. It's economies of scale.
Rebea nails every style he plays - what a player.
Definitely 👍 Plays circles around all of the Andertons guys
@@BrandonEht The others are great, especially Pete. but just seems like RABEA (Should have got his name right!) can play just about anything !
I'm more than a little impressed with these. The "no frills" finish is just genius.
Things I learned by watching this video:
1) it is possible to build a high-quality, good-sounding pedal for under $100.
2) Pete has a new toy.
3) Rebea reads instruction manuals.
Stonking video, fellas!
Lee giving the duster a snack is my new favourite thing.
I mean what's not to like. Everything by JHS is good quality so that's not going to change. Save money by simple graphics and straight forward circuit designs. Perfect for simple players like myself, everything you need, nothing you don't
Couldn't of put it better ourselves! Plus you get to draw on your own graphics...
It looks like the button is farther from the knobs which is another big bonus.
The reverb sounds stellar to me. I ordered one right away. I wanted simple but still sounding expensive and I really think the reverb and delay are just as good as most expensive reverbs or delay pedals.
@@jordandangelo180 Funny, the compressor kind of grabbed me. ;) Would have liked to hear a lot more of the chorus.
Well said my friend . ...
Rabea could play a mandolin through a burning toaster and make it sound good.
Fun fact: sometimes he does.
no he couldn't.
Shits fiya B
I love Josh Scott. He is incredibly nerdy, and incredibly awkward. He is amazing.
I love the word ‘boutique-y’. I’m gonna start a surf rock band and call us the ‘The Boo Tiki’s’.
Can I be in it? I dont surf though, does that matter?
My girlfriend didn't know what a "boutique" amp was and I referred to an amp as not being legit boutique. She thought "legit boutique" was a slang term. Like "Dude, that show was legit boutique". So now I say it in that context. Maybe it'll catch on.😆
Can my band, The Boo-Cocky’s open for you?
Killadey don’t worry, Charlie don’t surf and neither do I.
@@ryanboshell6124 "Apocalypse Now". Nice👍
It may be 4 in the morning where I’m at but I’ll be damned if I miss a video with Bea, the Captain, AND JHS.
Now that's dedication... Thanks for tuning in! 🤘
I love Rebea being in theses videos. Hes a great player and seems super cool. 🤟Nice video.
Glad you enjoyed the video, loads more Rabea to come... 😉
His channel has always been one of my favorites and his playing is really top notch. I especially love the heavy stuff and the Soldano amp demo video was incredible sounding.
We've learnt from this video Mr Honore is quiet hyper when he's not on camera...
As soon as I saw that "ferret" I was thinkin'g "I bet the cost of all those JHS-pedals on the table that's Pete" :)
He's pretty hyper on camera too. He frequently interuptus Lee during their videos.
@@leesbassment6393 and vice versa
Ed Halbach, who's name is on the building?? Exactly
I was just saying not trying to cause conflict here. ✌🏼🤟🏽
There is a Kansas City, Kansas and a Kansas City, Missouri. They share state lines so they are kind of the same city.
But, for accuracy's sake, they are on the MO side. Both sides have access to great BBQ, though. :)
12:02 Gilmour sound, Gilmour facial expressions! Love it.
Could listen to Rabea noodling all day.
Agree, he is a fantastic player.
His noodling is better than my concerted playing 🤪
Fun fact: Kansas City Missouri was actually founded eight years before the state of Kansas. When they drew up the lines for the state they incorporated part of Kansas City into it. Also jhs pedals are made in missouri. Hope you don't think this comment as rude just wanted to bequeath my knowledge of this to you guys. Great video. Thank you.
Thank you for that. I’ve been an American all 51 years of my life and I never knew that!!!
Absolutely brilliant series of pedals. $99 for excellent pedals that aren’t mass-produced in China, but are actually hand-built in Kansas City. In the long run you get what you pay for. Love the JHS 3-Series, and absolutely brilliant playing Rabea!
That CHORUS!!!!! 🤤🤤🤤
That REVERB!!!!!! 🤤🤤🤤
Amazing sounds!!!!
Now Josh needs to do MINI versions of all, and every guitarist will have an affordable, great-sounding, travel rig.
I heard Josh Scott say that they pedals were built to offer gigging musicians a quality budget effect that offers the same quality as his premier series.
The distortion sounds like a well known rodent :-) I love the chorus, it’s like 1985 all over again!
A bass voiced RAT called the Capybara would be fun just for the joke.
Just got the overdrive as a birthday gift and very happy with it. Nice reviews. Thanks, gents!
Haha, Rabea is the only person in the world who read the manual.
Also the only person to combine distortion and fuzz
I doubt that, but it does put him in with the smarter people in the world!
The chorus and reverb sound amazing!
Thank you! Great to see Rabea again - and the Captain of course. Pedals sounded lovely, especially the chorus.
Rabea, You have absolutley nailed that CW sound on the compressor pedal !!!
Thanks Lee! I love the "family business" helping , promoting the "family business" products aspect. Hope you both do well ( make money) on what's obviously a quality product.
Captain and The Fro
It's long overdue!
Sounds like a sweet 1970’s buddy cop show! The Captain could slide across the hood before they speed off to the gig in an old 76 Dodge Challenger! The Fro could wear like a brown leather vest or something? I can’t wait...
@@benlogan430 Needs a wah wah pedal....
I didnt buy a pedal.......but i have ordered a feather duster!
Did you feed him as well
Love the idea behind these!
I’m sold on the chorus! That sounded great!
I'm really glad I came across this channel, good stuff. Subbed!
Loving that Chorus/Vibe!
Again we'll mix them up in a minuteeeeee... love ya man !!! awesome as always !
Rabea is such a pro. And his solo stuff is brilliant. Huge fan!
I got the reverb and distortion pedal and they are amazing love the look my kids have enjoyed drawing on them and covering them in stickers. These pedals are pure genius super easy to use sound great and don't cost a fortune.
Nice, chorus and reverb pedals under the tree this holiday season!
Wow - The Captain is killing it these days. I remember the old vids. Great pedals, too!
Yessss Rabea with the Kwiksave call back!! I grew up on No-Frills!
Totally! When we could afford no frills ....;)
Captain went to a private school, you can’t expect him to know Kwik Save!
what a great pedals, I've been playing for 35 years and tried everything and i can hear that they are fantastic!!
Bea has become so great at demoing products, definitely an art to it
Good demo. From the demo, I'd buy one
of each.
Should have showcased the features of the reverb more! I'm glad Rabea said the reverb was his favorite though. I ordered one a few hours ago and I'm super excited. Also some excellent ideas presented in the video! Very well thought out pedals
the Fuzz, chorus and reverb are the wishlist items for me. I like that he added a lil something to each pedal.
Got the reverb, sounds great and frees a always used spot on my hx stomp.
Thank you Rabea for the patch cable flip. My neccesity for clean and tidy cable management is quelled.
nice sounds and even nicer quicksave ref :D
All of them. I’ll take all 7 please. Will pay more for original Danish Pete artwork.
lol, I can see the option on Anderton's site: - Nob pic (£5)
I really like the delay and the hall reverb, awesome pedals
I hear you Rab, I grew up on No Frills. The Cap'n clearly hasn't roughed it. 🤣🤣
The overdrive sounds Majestic
Very impressed with the Distortion!
Thank you, Bea, that was killing my OCD as well.
These pedals sound awesome. JHS did it again! The Overdrive is out of this world.
CAP and RABEA! Great change up! Keep it up Fellas ⭐️⭐️🎸⭐️⭐️
Thanks so much!!
Great to see Bea doing a demo with the Cap'n :D
From Leo: Good demonstration. Rabea did a good job playing without overplaying so that we can actually judge the individual pedals. Thanks.
some very impressive sounds there
Just for the ones who might be interested, the distortion pedal sound great on Bass too, the filter has a sweet spot for bass at about the first third of it's course where there is not much (if any ) bass frequency loss, awesome pedal.
JHS Pedals is in Grandview, Missouri which is about 5 minutes away from Kansas City, Missouri! There is also Kansas (the state) and a Kansas City, Kansas. Also, there is Kansas City, Missouri - just love hearing my hometown getting called out!!
That set would make a very clean pedal board!
They look goood
You sold me on the Delay with that PF lick
So good to see Rebea!
More of Rabea, please this was a great review of some lovely pedals thanks, guys
I think there is a lot to be said for a range of pedals featuring a standardised shell and general layout. As well as helping to save on the manufacturing costs this approach also makes it a lot easier for someone to construct a pedal board with a reasonable layout. If you think back to pedal boards of the past you can just imagine the arranging a original shape Guv'nor (fairly large metal box), then you have a few Boss pedals which are fairly small but this Fuzz Face is massive leading to a board that you can probably spend a couple of hours trying to figure out how to layout and route stuff to work well.
never before have I ordered a pedal so quickly, been looking for a good value reverb for a while.
Thanks for tuning in! We hope you enjoy your new pedal. 🤘
I'm in love with all of them
Was looking at the Distortion pedal for a Les Paul/Marshall setup but that Overdrive is sounding nice and full
Bea rockin some Floyd! YESSS! Best of both worlds!
Picked a few of these up and they blew my expectation away, they are sooooooo good! WOW
These sound pretty great! I'd be interested in the fuzz and the chorus, and I'd have fun painting all over those boxes to make them look less bland.
Thank you Rabea! My ocd was also triggering
Bea and Pete are monster good demo dudes 🤟
These pedals sound great, the overdrive is particularly nice. I would definitely need to make some sort of visual labels though!
Also like the simplicity of controls, some pedals have way too many knobs.
The combo of Rabea and Lee was a welcome surprise!
Video idea! You guys should do a solo showdown where you guys each do a solo in a certain number of categories and we decide the winner!
That’s Definitely A Pretty Awesome Price With Those Pedals. 👍👍🎶🎶🎸Video Well Done.
Good video and good for JHS in times of Covid and consequent economic downturn for doing something cheaper, which will more than meet the needs of most of us guitarists. BTW, JHS do some great videos on the electronics of pedals, as do Wampler.
overdrive sounds great. distortion sounds pretty good too
that chorus sounds sick
Love seeing Bea!
Not only is the guitar beautiful, but Rabea plays with a lot of class. As for the captain, we feel that he has something French in him. Good job boys !
Captain on the fuzz man 👍
Imo Josh made this line to fill out the bread and butter of your board- so to speak. These are the basic effects everyone uses- overdrive, dist., reverb, chorus, etc. If you can fill out these basic needs for less money- it leaves more money for the fun stuff. And an added bonus- if you know a tone snob you can let them hear these- and once they're bragging on how good they sound- tell them they're digital. All of them- not just the delay. LOL
The Delay and Reverb seem to be amazing value
Really enjoy Rabea in these vids. He reads the manual!
Rabea's face gave me all the confirmation that I needed that these are quality 🤣
Is that Pete with the fluffy pedal cleaner?
I hope he adds some more to these. Like a polyphonic drop tuner, an octave and a phaser. I'll be fully satisfied with that
Kansas City straddles the Missouri River which forms the border of the US states of Kansas and Missouri
I bought the reverb pedal on a impulse buy. It sounds great and I was surprised it was made in USA, going to buy some more. One can not have to many guitars or guitar pedals.
YES, Rabea, the REVERB is the best one by far! And, that is a pretty sweet chorus, too...
Simple and affordable, just how I like it 🤠👌
That guitar !! So good
Captain Lee’s riff at the end of this thing with the fuzz is gnarly enough to shake the foundations of Camelot.
Sounds like a great range of pedals to me.
Captain’s riff sounds awesome as that groove. @17:47 = English funky like Humble Pie or the Faces.
Bea and Lee! Fantastic!
Bea, and Lee with the Fuzz! What a sound! Rockin' It! N Bea n the Delay! Floyd! But, no fuzzy mic... 🎃
