@@watreon9223 aw man, is it still worth it if there's only one SSD slot? Idk what to get. A loq with 8645hs and a 95w 3050 or a victus with 8645hs and a 75w 4050
@@nevingames2300 I don't think you can see much different in terms of gaming but this hp gives impressive stable fps +no heating and really cheap+70wh battery.if you have the buget then you can get the Lenovo log the only benefit is that it has a close to 100srgb display.btw i heard indian version log had some dead issue.
@@watreon9223 yea that's why I'm doubting get the loq over the victus. What would you recommend that I should do to increase storage on victus should I get one big internal SSD or use a 512gb 2.5 SSD that I already have with an adapter. I would have to re install windows and go through that process too. I might get the loq if it goes in sale on December
@@watreon9223 How long does the battery last with normal non-gaming use?
Yha but how dose it run with the sims 4 and all of its dlc? That’s the real question and test of how it deals with heat and graphics.
Would upgrading the ram to 32gb significantly help editing multi layer 4K? Or is it basically the same as 16gb?
Yes, 16gb its worse these days
How are the hinges? Every laptop I’ve ever had or seen someone have exploded and comes apart at the hinges.
Please see the design chapter.
Does it have one or two fans?
bro how about if i bought HP Victus Ryzen 7 7840HS + RTX 4070? is that good?
It's a pretty powerful combo!
@SoulOfTech alrighttt
It's all good features on paper but i heard it has a lot of bugs ☹️.
Btw Can i use it for 3D modeling and designing?
Yes ofc
Is HP Victus fa 1279 tx is discontinued model
I see that the laptop has 512 GB NvMe SSD and I have a 1TB SSD that I used in my Asus laptop before. Do you think it's possible that I can transfer my 1TB to the Victus?
as long as its nvme it should work it doesnt have sata so you only have the nvme slot to work with from looking into tear downs
Well done.
Thank you!
Can you charge through the usb c port???
Yes you can
@SoulOfTech Max 2tb capacity? have you actually tried 4tb nvme ??? Cause I am planning to upgrade to 4tb?
Hey, the max number is based of vendor specification. Unofficially it may support up to 4
Which to choose ? This laptop or acer nitro v 15 4050 ..i am getting them at same price?
What did you buy?
question? is the display dark? anyone?
Any update ?
I have Victus I5 RTX 3050! Run Microsoft flight simulation excellent like my desktop r 9 3070 ftw 3
The best tech youtuber ever ❤
And of course i will order the beast victus in coming days🔥
Thank you :) Hope you love it!
Hp need to fix the battery issues regarding this. Just update the bios and add a battery limiter atp every other laptop in the same range has it. The omen gaming hub is the worst trademark software ive ever used kills ur battery. No quick switch to change modes either. These may seem like i hate it but its such a good mid range buy i personally use it. But these small things definitely hurt.
Edit: forget abt the speakers definitely not anything good to say abt it i recommend getting a headphone and also the hinge aint that bad the screen wobble can be a pain so yea drawbacks it does have.
if you're buying a gaming laptop you're not really going to have a time where you aren't plugged into the wall
@joeyhoppe9459 fr
What is the screen refresh rate?
Please see display chapter
Just bought one blk Friday sale from Walmart $499 I5 Rtx 4050 16GB.
How much fps do u get on games?
@ it’s pretty good for its price. So far I only play world of tanks and league of legends and it’s about 130 to 140fps. And I have not adjusted for the higest setting yet.
Yo its 650 on walmart where did u get it for 499
@@omeryasin4193best buy
Does the omen 16 also have the same wobbling issue ?
Nope, the Omen uses a whole different hinge mechanism.
Will victus 15 i5-12450H rtx 3050 144hz 70v 16/512 gb be a good option for low-key gamer and mostly for studying and video editing? I expect it to work without charging for about 7 hours in opera and such. I know weight is not ideal for office - goals, tho it's okay for me
Exact same question for me , been looking one with the same specs
Should i buy this laptop or lenovo loq ryzen 7 7435hs 24gb ram ?
It depends. If you're never going to use the laptop on battery, get the 7435HS. It's a more powerful CPU, but it lacks integrated graphics so everything will run on the dedicated NVIDIA GPU, which means significantly lower battery life.
@@saturnotaku my mainly use be for computer engineering and little for content creation and other every thing I guess so it is worth it to add more 30k to buy loq I know it's battery backup is very low so , I also want to buy it but battery issue and motherboard dead issue
@@saturnotakuhey do you know if the HP victus 15 would work well WITHOUT the charger? Just on the battery, and for how long on average?
Also, does it have a hinge problem?
I GOT MINE AT 499$ AT WALMART BLACK FRIDAY !!!!!!!
How many fps do u get on BO6 ?
Did you Baught it or not?
@@LuisMorales-ic6oodepending on graphics u can def get like 60-80
How bad is the Brightness? I want to use this in a bright room.
I just got it and it's not that bright. Also, no UBS-c charging which is a negative for me. I recommend seeing it in person if possible because some people do like it but it's not for me
Does this model comes with 70whr battery world wide?
I would validate on your local regions HP site for that.
How good is the version with rtx 4050 and ryzen 5 8640hs
very good, ryzen compare to the intel version will get use a little more battery life. Moreover, it somewhat the same on other aspects
¿Is it very loudly? Does it gets very hot?
Please see thermals section.
I recently bought this laptop and it’s my first gaming laptop, I hope someone can solve this question for me… I’ve reading a lot about how you don’t have to charge the laptop to 100% but 80% (while gaming and having it connected) to make the battery life last more time!! But other people say otherwisd. I’m really confused now! What should I do?
You can change it in omen software
this looks like a cool Gaming laptop is it a must buy?
How about the screen wobble in 2024 variants

HP did something right? Consider me surprised.
Isn't the memory Supposed to be at 5600mhz???
When i checked my Task manager, i saw 5600MT/s which is supposed to be half of the actual frequency of RAM. So i ran a quick check on cpu-z and suprise suprise, it showed me 2790 mhz as the RAM's Frequency. So Does this mean That my seller has swapped out the ram or something?
Hey , any update ? does this laptop run ram on max frequency 2790mhz or what?
watching this review on HP victus
Should i go for this or add some money and go for loq or acer v15/16
Well if u r going for coding or want to use outside I will not prefer loq coz its battery is not really good but its good for gaming and has better build quality also better display....and If u dont care about build quality and display and want better performance with average battery life go for acer nitro v15/16....if u really have to work outside for long period of time with better battery go for hp victus 15
Simply is it good for playing games like Fortnite and Roblox?
Yes lol
K ty
The facts this is the cheap and runs very well is crazy
Great video entirely, nice quality, but i doubt the info in your upgradability. The site says 256GB RAM max upgradability. I literally saw a dude put 96GB 5600mhz RAM in this in a youtube video, 2TB seems quite small. I believe it can go more than that. please check your facts
Thanks for watching! The capacities mentioned in the video are not tested maximums, they are the vendor specified maximums. You certainly can attempt to go higher than that.
Is it have hinge issue?
Please see design chapter.
It has only 1 ssd slot?
Yes
Watching on it. I love this laptop
Glad you like it!
How is this laptop for graphics designing and video editin? ✌️
I don't see why not! Check out the performance chapter for more details.
I found an HP Victus at Amazon with the following specs below. I am planning to use external display which is my 144hz 4K QD MiniLED TV when gaming. Is this ok for a budget laptop?

-16GB RAM
-512GB SSD NVIDIA
-RTX 4060
-15.6 inch FHD 16:9 Display
-144Hz
