I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show where the twists in the finale add SO much value to all the preceding episodes.

I think this series is amazing & the finale was superb! Yes, what happened to Robert is sad (but I don’t think it’s the end for him). The Norma twist was a good surprise & I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes from here (along with the bookstore “front” twist!). Anyone complaining about how they left it on a cliffhanger has never watched television before, I guess. 😂 Bravo to the creators, actors, and the crew behind the scenes!! Beautiful sets & costumes!!

I really love this show and Maxine, she is just like me and i really love her loyalty. I really love Maxine and Douglas as a couple and have a bad feeling about cheating.I mean, dougy how can you do that? Max was perfect

I was totally in love with this show. The finale basically erased all traces of fun pleasure and interest from the show. Probably the worst season finale I have ever seen. I want my money back!

Oh, i thought I liked the Norma-reveal in the last episode. It sets the character dynamics quite right. What did you dislike?

@@filmfugitives well I hate that Douglas gets so much attention (probably the least fun and most obnoxious character of the whole show) AND Robert DIES??? The coolest character? And what reveal are we talking about? Who is Agnes? The show started out as total fun with glimpses of dramatization but it ends like a completely obscure tragedy reminiscent of 70´s horror movies . It’s like taking someone by the hand laughing and singing towards a cliff and then pushing them off of it when they leadt except it. Didn’t like the finale at all.

I strongly feel that Robert is going to come back and Maxine will leave Douglas for better. Whereas Agnes will find her karma

@@filmfugitives thanks for sharing your views. I hope you’re right. After finding out that Evelyn was an ex showgirl without a penny , I find it hard to believe that Norma is also someone else. Anyways I need to digest the intense tragedy of that last episode. I don’t understand why the real
Astronaut disappeared and why Maxine couldn’t go with him right away and meet the president and become national sweethearts. Her love for Douglas makes zero sense. Anyways we’ll now have to wait for a year. Hopefully in the meantime we can get a new season of White Lotus for a perfectly well written show from top to end. Palm Royal was so promising but the tragedy aspect went too far for me in the last episode as it did in the acid trip one where Bruce Dern dies. Thanks again

@@alexd1121 I loved Palm Royale from the start for the aesthetic, beautiful scenery and fun mystery but it was evident from Maxine's series of wreckless actions that her dreams would come crashing down. I was hoping for a miraculous turn of events where everything turned out in her favour, because she was so hopeful, kind, well-meaning and loyal, among her long list of qualities, but she was in over her head in that world. Douglas' betrayal was hard to digest because he seemed so in love with her and praised her at every turn until the episode where he lied to her about the dinner with the prince and Dinah. Mindy the manicurist is infuriating, not only because she betrayed Maxine, but because she is such an airhead. When Maxine tried to warn her about Perry, I hated the way she just said "I have to go" instead of asking "really, why is he a bad guy?" and making informed decisision. She is a bimbo. Anyway, I also found the finale to be disappointing, especially since it ended on such a fiasco and cliffhanger. It's just not cool to end a series like that, leaving the audiance high and dry until the next season if any.

I started to watch this commentary I am sorry but this mans voice was so annoying I couldn't watch it . He speaks way too fast and can't understand him. There are others I had to past this by .

@@filmfugitivesdon't feel sorry, really. I'm Brazilian, thus not a native English speaker, and I could understand the narration perfectly well, even without the captions on. Unfortunately there are some people who seems to seek pleasure on diminishing others - not much unlike the series itself shows. Keep up the good work. :)

As soon as I heard an Indian accent I knew that the standards of Bollywood wouldn't be nothing compared to what American Cinema is so I knew not to actually accept the review for what it is because they have no idea what film even is
