Koen really knows how to AB and show his processing, while other talks while doing it he really explains then makes people understand what he's doing before and after. That's a master skill. The mix at the end sounds very pleasing. Great job.
I like that he explains his reasoning for his decisions and what the effects are doing
He really does embodies that less is more concept. Very smooth and warm sounding mix. Dope
This PT session looks crazy different than the norm. I love it
That dynamic eq is great for cutting a problem frequency while keeping what you want at the same time.
Waves will be happy af
I watched this breakdown couple of months ago at Sound ID Reference channel but still nice watching it again on here. Great insight. 💯👍🏾
thank you.. technological genius is amazing
this guy is really crazy.. he is doesn't even have a mouse, only touchpad
Life Changing
Ready for the sauce!
I learnt a lot in that masterclass I enjoy all of them thanks again
thanks so much Justin!!!
Gold tips, thank you!
This is incredible.
Really nice and easy to understand mixing tips!
This is badass.Thanks.
Great video I really enjoyed that!
I love the parallel processing.
And that less is more.
Thats such a nice song.
sounds amazing (on my dutch & dutch 👍) !!
That vocal is so damn silky!
👍 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi! What synth Bass is being used onthe track.Love that sound.Good Tutorial too Koen.
You should probably let everyone know that the give away is only for US residents only
Much Appreciated but the magic happening on the Mixbus and I had a strangeeeeee feeling he wouldn't mention that. These engineers be funny. But goodlooks
That is fair, and yes most of the magic is on the mix bus. Our chain is kinda magical. Its all about stacking limiters. Do t use 1, use a bunch and chip away at it. Use linear phase eq and compression to keep things from getting out of hand. Thats the secret
Andrew Shepps uses Sony 7506 headphones with no reference software
You can learn practically any listening system if you study it long enough with enough references, and supplement with good meters. That said, some listening systems are easier to learn than others! Learning a flatter system is usually faster and simpler than a wildly skewed one.
Hope that makes sense!

i dont get it, wht is the vocal so smooth without processing ?
Good takes and good mic. Also some people process before sending them out for mixing
38:22 there's some really bad distortion happening on the vocals there.
right when the singer says luxury LOVE.
how did this fly over this head
Its a tradeoff, live with some distortion etc.
Tuning???
Waves and Izotope again, he didn't even use his own KH-EQ1 and KH-COMP1. Another Michael Brauer kind of "masterclass"?
Mixing is already done and doesn't show
alot of mixers now days just push it to the next level. usally professional producers and recording engineers get everything sounding extremely pro before it gets sent to the mix engineers. hes pretty much the second to last step in this. he also mastered it tho so i guess he was the last stop. it would be alot more interesting to see them get shit recordings and shit production to show there best skills in my opinion. alot of people that watch this stuff are usually hoping to see a somewhat shit product brought out into something amazing. the best u can do is go threw a bunch of videos and get tips but the real experience is in the field. most of us are getting bad recordings and stuff. it shouldnt be that way but thats just how it is lol.
@@hh-hj9fn And he promotes waves and pa plugins.
Not feeling that hihat panned to the left like that.. idc Hoe platinum this guy is
