Hi Tamara, I haven’t read all the comments to see if the answer is already there. But the “C” button can save your manual adjustments/settings that you put in your dji for fast reference. For example: change your settings (manual mode) like you showed us in other video’s white balance and EV, after changing them swipe down from above, tap the person icon and press the C with +. It will save the settings you just put in for fast reference. Hope this helps. And thank you for the informational content your putting out here. Regards, Lesley
I was about to purchase this but I hadn't realised it doesn't extend! Thank you for highlighting I'll stick with the mini extension have to press the button on the camera instead to record
Great video! This charging handle is super useful, but the lack of extendability might be a downside for vloggers. Thanks for the info on the Artlist 100K Fund too!
I purchased the vlogging bundle that includes the camera, the grip and the mic transmitter. Really cool stuff but sadly my grip has not been able to charge a second time, I’m having to send it all back to DJI for a replacement.
I have the handle and I love it. No need for me bringing the charging case with extra batteries anymore. I skip using the protector and just let the lid be attached. I don’t do action stuff so it feels fine doing that.
If you get the Adventure Combo you have 3 batteries to start with so doubtful anyone will need the extra capacity from this handle and I think you nailed it when you showed the handle doesn't extend so it will be fatiguing to use. The only reason to look at the handle IMHO is for the ease of hitting the record button but hey, everyone's needs are different. Great video and thanks!
5:50 You have to actually place the words “ad” or similar somewhere visible to be compliant with the law here (EU), for ads in broadcasts. Or have an intro and outro using the word. Just fyi, not that I expect England to rejoin soon.
It's a bit absurd that DJI brings out a new chip and new batteries, thereby extending the usage time enormously (I've never filmed more than 3 hours in 4K in one day in my life), and then brings out this battery grip. I was already considering buying it before this video, but then decided against it because... see above. With the GoPro, I was very grateful for the Volta Stick, especially because it helped me get the overheating under control, when I filmed longer concerts. With the Action 5, I personally see no reason to buy it. Also, in the worst case scenario: having another battery somewhere in your pocket certainly won't kill you. I thought the video was cool again. And, like you, I use the small extendable Osmo stick for outdoors. I like your calm manner.
I just started my own vlogging channel as a side hobby and currently use the Pocket 3. Watching this vid right here makes me want to try this model out. Love the tripod mount concept.

This was a very helpful video, thank you. Can you please clarify whether the handle has extendable feet so that it’ll stand up on its own? And if it does, what are your thoughts? DJI doesn’t show this in their product photos.
Thanks for this! I just purchased the Action 5 Pro...loving it, and, as I'm used to the mirrorless cam for vlogging, this device attahched to the A5P seems convenient. TY for showing where the 3.5mm audio jack is, DJI does not show this on their site and my mind was boggled lol. However, I agree with your position on the handle for vlogging and having the extension convenience. I also snagged the Adv combo for an unbeatable price and I love the handle, so I'm going with the setup below. For now, I'm personally going to go with DJI's 3.5mm audio/USB-C adapter, plus hot shoe adapter. Since I already use the Rode Wireless GO II mics, I can mount it easily to the case with the hot shoe adapter, plug in, and carry on. I'm wondering how many others might choose this route as well. :) Plus, as you said having the voice command 'Start/Stop Recording' is convenient, though, I found comes at a bit of a battery longevity cost. Perhaps this will be countered by the extra juice the multifunction handle provides? Decisions, decisions... Anywho, cheers and thanks for the great content!
The buttons on the thumb seem a good idea but I think I prefer the wrist type controls from DJI, which adds gps data too. The action 4 battery lasts ages so not sure about the need for battery life and the fact it’s no longer waterproof.
If it could also be used as a mini tripod, it would be perfect. With 3 fast-charging batteries, I don't know if a charging grip is still needed. Maybe for camera control functions.
How did you think they would fit an extension, when the body contains the battery? I don’t see the problem with attaching some feet and using them as the extension. I prefer the idea of buying the Action 5 Standard kit and the charging handle rather than the Creator kit.
I went back and fourth on the handle and decided to just get the extended handle and the bluetooth remote. A Bonus i get the GPS and telemetry for car videos.
Pocket 3 has a dedicated grip for charging: Osmo Pocket 3 Battery Grip. It is included in the Creative Combo version, but it can also be purchased separately.
@@teompa I already have the package you mentioned. DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator combo. What I want is to try using it with a tripod like this. I can use Action magnetic adapters with the Ulanzi case.I was wondering if the remote control works with DJI Pocket 3?
Nice video as always. However I suspect most Action owners probably opted for the Combo version (as I did) and so already have more than enough battery capacity to hand. Plus, as you point out, you miss out on the flexibility of the extending handle. The other things is the need to rotate the camera every time you want to switch view direction, at least if you want the buttons to be on the ‘right side’. With the base setup, you just simply spin the handle around!

And I want something good in lowlight!

could you help to test if the new a5 pro battery is compatible with a4. if yes, how much longer (in hour or minutes) is it compared to using the original a4 battery?
It would be good if in some future version they have a sort of magsafe wireless charging system to eliminate the cable. I quite like the idea of this though.
Huh. I didn’t dare remove that door until you did. I suppose I could now use my two DJI mic 1s with it now. I’ve just be using my one DJI mic 2. Thanks, Tamara.
I’ve looked at getting one of these because I’d love a remote for my Action 4 however I’m not sure why you would need a battery handle if you have the 3 battery pack as the batteries last ages plus I’m not keen on the silly tripod as it’s way too short to get any decent footage from it
I noticed you shoot 4k25fps, isnt it recommended to use higher than 1/200th for shutter speed to not mess with electronic stabilization? Or do you just not use stabilization when shooting 4k25 on any osmo action?
If you put an extension rod on the bottom of the charging handle, you would loose the ability to control the camera. Withe an internal extension rod, the controls would still be accessible.
