Today, I had the opportunity to thoroughly test the Vaultek vs20i safe. This is a high-quality safe that immediately impresses upon unboxing. What makes the vs20i genuinely remarkable is its smart functionality. Through the Vaulteks app, I can effortlessly control the safe using Bluetooth. This feature allows me to monitor and manage access to the safe in a convenient and secure way. The app provides detailed information on who opened the safe, how they gained access and the precise time and date of each entry. This level of transparency and control is beneficial as administrators have exclusive access to the logs and must be present to authorize new users.
During my test, I will evaluate the biometric scanner's reliability by subjecting it to a wet and powder test. This will help determine its effectiveness in various conditions, ensuring it accurately recognizes fingerprints even when damp or covered in powder.
Additionally, I will demonstrate the speed and efficiency of the vs20i's biometric scanner by using my fingerprint to open the safe. This will showcase its responsiveness and user-friendly design, highlighting how quickly and effortlessly the safe can be accessed.

Looks like it may not fit a full size handgun with an optic at lest not with a couple mags in there too. I've got a cz 97b and am thinking of putting a red dot on it, i wonder if it would fit.

What's your thoughts on the vaultek nano key 2.0
Never got that, idk if I would ever need that feature.
Have you done the drop test? I saw a video where they drop it, and it opened the safe .

This is a well-made safe, the biometrics could be better though. If the safe is bolted down there would be no concern for a drop test. And I don't believe the safe would have issues with a drop test. But for now, this is not a safe I can afford to destructive test. But after prying open a Sentry safe, and that was a pain in the ass, I bet the Vaultek would be even harder. Maybe one day though..

What are thoughts on the biometric wireless access?
It works great, the smart features are pretty cool, right now i'm looking at the app, I have 78% battery, history log, it all works pretty seamlessly. Trust me some of these cheap safe have horrible apps. And this is one of the only brands I would trust with an app on my phone.
