The 3.5 is best power to weight ratio for sure after tonight, when I used the 6 stacked I wasn't sure if there was much difference but there is for bigger tasks
You mentioned returning the 6.0Ah battery...how can you do that if you buy a kit which includes the hammer drill, impact driver and the 3.5Ah and 6Ah stacked lithium batteries? I also dont need the larger size of the 6.0Ah but can I return the larger battery even if its part of the kit? I'm assuming that would help to drop the overall price down. but would it work?
Same here brother, should be soon. Have you checked at Rona and Reno Depot if those locations are near you? I had to go to a few locations to get more tools faster hahaha
Maybe this goes without saying, but for those wanting to take advantage of the current deal going on at lowes for flex tools...play with online ordering combinations. Meaning...online you can get more than the 150.00 max discount in store. Sometimes it may be beneficial to switch your pickup store to grab a tool that is NOT on sale to get you closer to the next tier of discount without having to purchase a more expensive tool or combo to reach that next tier. It seems counterintuitive to look for a tool NOT on sale but it works. And try not to go over 500 by much for the max discount. It's diminishing discount after that. Instead, do another order separately and repeat the tactics
What I would like to know is do you get anymore run time with the flex fan when you take out the 5.0mah battery and add the 3.5mah stacked battery? I have the fan wondering if 3.5 stacked would add anything other than weight reduction?
Your question is pretty old, so you probably figured it out already, but... I've had the Flex fan since October of 22, and it's a great little fan. I didn't have any other Flex stuff until recently, so I was using it corded for small drywall patches and what not. I recently picked up some other Flex tool because I wanted batteries. I don't see a big difference in run time when I run a 5ah and a 6ah SL. I've never timed it and the fan gets turned on and off multiple times, so maybe there's a bigger difference than I realize, and I'm just noticing that I can burn through a 5 or 6 SL in a day with my use.

Do you think the technology and materials flex is using to make the stacked lithium batteries is better than DeWalt on the Powerstack?
It's stacked lithium on 24 volt platform. Therefore, the voltage drop will be about 20% better than dewalt. So yes, 24v is superior to 20v.
