Even though this episode was technically a "filler", it was a nice change of pace because it focused on one little story that showed some humanity & little bit of intimacy (love) in one major character, kinda like the episode that had Daryl & Beth together in that cabin.
Someone showed me yesterday that if you go back to episode 6 of season 10, when Daryl and Carol are talking about Connie, Carol says "you can't hide out here with her dog forever" meaning they'd been planning this for some time and put little hints throughout the season
Because daryl has faced it everyone has but negan was pointing the bat at someone else that Abraham was close with which is rosita. Carol got Connie (killed) after daryl talking with her many times
... Hmm, so Leah does not die but disappears... Which means we will see her again at some point... But not alone, she'll have a child... Daryl's child... Think about it.
I really thought that this episode would end with her pregnant with daryl's baby, and both her and their baby dying in some tragic accident, perhaps having to do with the CRM or Commonwealth. Its dark, but it would explain why Daryl and Carol leave the main show around when they find out about the Commonwealth if they were the ones who did it.
"They" probably want to experiment on a pregnant woman. The same "they" who want to experiment on a Type A or B. If we infect the mother, then give her the antidote, will the baby be damaged by having an infection during gestation weeks 22-23? If they showed us a frame with broken glass, that's a clue. Leah would not say, "Daryl, the great tracker, is never going to find me; I'm leaving," and leave Dog. It must have been Jadis' employers. If she talked them into taking the photo, she was conscious. Why didn't they let her take the frame? They could have said, "No possessions. Everything has to be decontaminated," and, "The helicopter can only take so much weight," but let her at least take the photo. Then they'll probably burn it along with her clothes and put her through a decontaminating shower, but they let her take the photo at the time so she would cooperate. They're probably pretending to be taking care of a pregnant woman who needs a hospital and too late, she'll find out she's just an experimental subject.
All of these 6 bonus episodes are by design going to be smaller stories that don't play heavily into the bigger plotline. They were specifically written to be that way so they could shoot them safely with fewer cast members and a smaller crew whilst COVID protocols are still in large effect.
I am wondering how they are going to pull that off. I mean Jeffrey Dean Morgan clearly aged a lot from when he first appeared. And his backstory would be even years earlier. For me it is the same with Norman, it would be very unrealistic to have him play now the Darryl from the first seasons in flashbacks. They aged too much (though still hot af 😅).

Steve didn't have the Whisperers at the time. And he makes another mistake in his thinking. He believes the communities we know so far and their progress would be the measure of all things for the entire Twd world. He can't imagine silencers still in existence or sniperrifles. What if the community we know so far is just retrograde compared to others? I think Leah was introduced for 2 reasons. First, she serves to prepare Daryl for his future love. So that it comes along more carefree and no longer feels so strange. She's the one who is tearing down the wall so that we can better imagine Daryl in a relationship later with another woman. And secondly, we'll either see Leah here again in the other episodes on the Reaper side and then immediately say goodbye by her death or Leah disappeared the same way Rick took. I think she'll be one of the Commernworth's soldiers for the next season. I think that's more likely because she left dog behind. She was safely abducted and the dog stayed there. Daryl is going to have a relationship with Connie and then the soap opera will be perfect when Leah reappears afterwards.
So through everything, Daryl has been keeping his own personal pain a secret, this whole time. I don't think that Daryl is only looking for Rick anymore, I think he's looking for Leah too. The inside of the cabin was torn up. I think she was taken. I think that Daryl has always loved Carol, but she chose Ezekiel at that time. So he did move on, and he did love someone too. He's still looking for her, that's why he wanted to be alone in the first place when he went out. I think Daryl needs to get his anger out. He's always held so much in. I really don't think that Connie was a love interest for Daryl, they maybe had a connection, but I never thought there was a spark, and after this episode, I think Daryl really did love Leah, enough to write what he wrote to her, to choose her. "Find me" that's a lot....that means a lot, and it's a lot to hold on to. The floodgates have to open at some point.
Don't be so sure , they may have just lied about the spinoff bieng a sequel or even there actually being a spinoff at all , and kill Daryl or Carol in the finale for catching us off gaurd

The reason why they had the conversation at the end even though it seemed settled at the end of S10E16 was because, Daryl was feeling emotional and guilty being back at the cabin, and then Carol accidentally tried pinning Connie's disappearance on Daryl which set him off.

Dog was a puppy when Daryl first found them. She said she hadn't seen anyone since her son died, which was the same day Dog was born. So she'd not seen anyone for a few months, so it's not that big a stretch to believe. She lived within a small group till they were attacked and she ran with her son, who was bitten and then died. I thought it was a brilliant episode. Daryl is a great character and Norman Reedus is a great actor, and he's just been existing for the last series or so. It's nice to see some character development from him.
I hope we get sequel series set 20 years in future with Judith, rj, Hershel, and Daryl's kid (if theory is true) living in a new society with Robert Kirkman as a co-writer And an Old man Negan (Logan style) being their mentor
John Dorie was on his own for ages too I really liked the episode. It’s a new spin on Daryl and I really like the idea that these episodes are filling gaps and further widening the scope of the world they’re in. It’s also a nice reminder for fans that characters will have had other experiences beyond what they’ve seen on screen so far. In terms of the apocalypse, the little neck of the woods we’ve been seeing does seem to have been quite remote and also fairly cut off from any kind of bigger community. Other groups will have had access to military stores and supplies (and some are potentially based on former military units that kept together), there’d be stuff that can last for quite a while. And we do know that larger communities have survived, as we’ve seen with civic republic inWorld Beyond and our introduction to Commonwealth at the end of the main season 10. Suppose what I’m saying is the areas we’ve seen may be a lot bleaker than some other areas

I don’t know that Leah was the “love of his life...” I feel like he would have gone looking for her, or something, I don’t know, maybe not. I just was so shocked by this episode - all this time & they never put Daryl with anyone, then we saw something gradually blooming between him & Connie & I loved that I thought it was so cute & thought they went well together, but nothing truly came of it before Connie disappeared. So, after seeing their relationship develop (Darly & Connie), & liking the idea of them together, I didn’t like how we were swooped back in time in this episode & shown that there was actually someone else he fell for before he met Connie. Personally I just wasn’t super crazy about this episode. I love Daryl so much & I didn’t love how Leah wanted him to choose between either searching for his brother (Rick), going back to his family (Carol, Maggie, Tara, Michonne, Judith, Aaron, Gabriel, Eugene, Rosita, Sadik, etc.), or be with her. I didn’t really like that. I’m not saying that I didn’t like Leah, I did! I thought she seemed like a cool, nice person who had sadly been through a lot. But I did not like her & Daryl getting together, I can’t quite put my finger on why. I also did not like seeing Carol & Daryl arguing 🥺😩
I don't understand why Daryl is mad at Carol for sending Negan to kill Alpha when he did the exact same thing. He tried to kill Alpha too. Alpha stabbed him in the leg, and he and Alpha ended up spending the night on the floor of a gas sation/garage where Lydia found him

I'm really struggling with Negan, first off i'm with you Steven he's a fantastic character and his redemption is so good, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is incredible and plays him to perfection!! I think Daryl needs to get his anger out. He's always held so much in. I really don't think that Connie was a love interest for Daryl, they maybe had a connection, but I never thought there was a spark, and after this episode, I think Daryl really did love Leah, enough to write what he wrote to her, to choose her. "Find me" that's a lot....that means a lot, and it's a lot to hold on to.
The floodgates have to open at some point.

Don't be so sure , they may have just lied about the spinoff bieng a sequel or even there actually being a spinoff at all , and kill Daryl or Carol in the finale for catching us off gaurd

For all we know the spin off could be a prequel, obviously if they do die it won't be until the final season, but I wouldn't be 100% sure that they don't die

The reason why they had the conversation at the end even though it seemed settled at the end of S10E16 was because, Daryl was feeling emotional and guilty being back at the cabin, and then Carol accidentally tried pinning Connie's disappearance on Daryl which set him off.

Dog was a puppy when Daryl first found them. She said she hadn't seen anyone since her son died, which was the same day Dog was born. So she'd not seen anyone for a few months, so it's not that big a stretch to believe. She lived within a small group till they were attacked and she ran with her son, who was bitten and then died.
I thought it was a brilliant episode. Daryl is a great character and Norman Reedus is a great actor, and he's just been existing for the last series or so. It's nice to see some character development from him.
Humm, maybe the spin off will be about them on their separate journeys or trying to find each other.
I hope we get sequel series set 20 years in future with Judith, rj, Hershel, and Daryl's kid (if theory is true) living in a new society with Robert Kirkman as a co-writer
And an Old man Negan (Logan style) being their mentor

I really liked the episode. It’s a new spin on Daryl and I really like the idea that these episodes are filling gaps and further widening the scope of the world they’re in. It’s also a nice reminder for fans that characters will have had other experiences beyond what they’ve seen on screen so far.
In terms of the apocalypse, the little neck of the woods we’ve been seeing does seem to have been quite remote and also fairly cut off from any kind of bigger community. Other groups will have had access to military stores and supplies (and some are potentially based on former military units that kept together), there’d be stuff that can last for quite a while. And we do know that larger communities have survived, as we’ve seen with civic republic inWorld Beyond and our introduction to Commonwealth at the end of the main season 10.
Suppose what I’m saying is the areas we’ve seen may be a lot bleaker than some other areas

This episode showed us Daryl's past so that we can see his future with Carol. There were so many Carol/Leah parallels.
Think they mentioned it will be isolated stories due to the pandemic, much easier for them to film for safety reasons, more easy to manage.
One minute before the flashbacks I predicted it would happen

I don’t know that Leah was the “love of his life...” I feel like he would have gone looking for her, or something, I don’t know, maybe not. I just was so shocked by this episode - all this time & they never put Daryl with anyone, then we saw something gradually blooming between him & Connie & I loved that I thought it was so cute & thought they went well together, but nothing truly came of it before Connie disappeared. So, after seeing their relationship develop (Darly & Connie), & liking the idea of them together, I didn’t like how we were swooped back in time in this episode & shown that there was actually someone else he fell for before he met Connie. Personally I just wasn’t super crazy about this episode. I love Daryl so much & I didn’t love how Leah wanted him to choose between either searching for his brother (Rick), going back to his family (Carol, Maggie, Tara, Michonne, Judith, Aaron, Gabriel, Eugene, Rosita, Sadik, etc.), or be with her. I didn’t really like that. I’m not saying that I didn’t like Leah, I did! I thought she seemed like a cool, nice person who had sadly been through a lot. But I did not like her & Daryl getting together, I can’t quite put my finger on why. I also did not like seeing Carol & Daryl arguing 🥺😩
I don't understand why Daryl is mad at Carol for sending Negan to kill Alpha when he did the exact same thing. He tried to kill Alpha too. Alpha stabbed him in the leg, and he and Alpha ended up spending the night on the floor of a gas sation/garage where Lydia found him

I'm really struggling with Negan, first off i'm with you Steven he's a fantastic character and his redemption is so good, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is incredible and plays him to perfection!! Having said that i can't forget or forgive what he did to Abraham and Glenn and seeing little Hershel reinforced those feelings!!
What about the actions that lead to Abraham and especially Glen? Do you forgive Daryl for striking Negan which resulted in Glen dying? It was only supposed to be 1 but Daryl’s actions made it 2.
@@NikkiStevenReact everyone always blame Daryl for getting Glenn killed but they seem to forget it was Glenn’s fault too. Negan specifically said “ the first ones free, then I’ll shut that shit down” the first one in this scenario was when glenn tried getting up after negan joked about killing Maggie for looking sick. If Glenn would have never overreacted, Daryl would have gotten a free shot in.

Hey guys. I'm a little late getting to your videos but catching up now. On what Stephen said about Carol bringing up daryls role in glens death, ya also gotta think, carol has probably the highest on screen friendly death responsibility count. Tyrese's girlfriend and the other guy that she killed and burned at the prison. Teaching the kids to use knives then lizzy kills Mika with one. Telling Sam the monsters will come for him then he freaks out and get him and his mother killed. Then there's the people who died while saving her life. Like tdog.
Daryl had a pencil and paper in his backpack because the Hilltop and Alexandria had classes for the kids. That could have got them from scavenging
So Daryl & Leah were together for 10 months before she vanished.
Leah has been missing for a year and nine months now.
