    Lin makes his team deadly by getting the ball to the right person at the right time.

      to be more specific, i think he plays better without stars who ball hog. James harden, melo, kobe(im a huge kobe fan btw). the only teams he's played on had the biggest ballhogs in the history of the nba. he seems fine in charlotte, kemba is a star but he's also unselfish. he would seem to fit teally well with kawhi if he goes to the spurs, but he'd probably play well as long as he avoids the ballhogs.

  • @allenz6123
    @allenz6123 11 лет назад +13

    Magic is very insightful. But when Melo came, he is like "lesser role? what the hell is that?!",and then Woodson came.. I mean, Woodson to melo is like Brown to lebron. But no way melo can compare to lebron when it comes to team basketball, and woodson is simply not geared for championship, or anywhere near. When we talk about example of "lesser role", just watch the 3 guys in Boston around the year 2008.

  • @tarr3653

    D'Antoni's system was perfect Lin. He probably would have avg 18pts/8 assist. Him and D'Antoni were the perfect storm. He wasn't going to have the same level of success with anybody else. With Stoudemire and Melo they had the talent to make a playoff run. Stoudemire bought in. Melo....

  • @acd88acd

    Stoudemire had chemistry with Lin during Linsanity. IMO AS is being unfairly criticized lately.

    People want to blame Melo for crushing Linsanity and that’s part of it, but Mike Woodson wasn’t a big fan of Lin’s game either.

    • @robwebnoid5763
      @robwebnoid5763 3 месяца назад

      Yeah unfortunately Melo returning from injury & D'Antoni having to quit (or forced to quit, ahem) were 2 strikes against Jeremy & Linsanity. But I think it was fate that Jeremy left NY, so that what his only divine mission in NY was to bring them back to 0.500 so they could have a playoff that season when they had a near-decade of no post-seasons prior to 2012 & then they had another drought of no postseasons until 2020 (7 years of drought) after Lin left, with the 2013 season their only other playoff run due to still riding high on Linsanity but without Jeremy. Jeremy did nearly the same thing in Charlotte, if you look at the stats. Charlotte has not had a playoff season even to this day since Jeremy left them (8 years of drought & counting). Not even Kemba Walker alone could have given them another post-season after Lin left. During that playoff, Jeremy gave the Miami Heat a run for their money by stretching it to 7 games. We also have to remember that during that 2011 lockout season in NY, the supposedly Big 3 of the Knicks (Stoudamire, Chandler, Anthony), highly-paid to go to NY, had a win-loss of 8 & 23 prior to Linsanity. That only 8 wins in 23 games created that fan disappointment, desperation & hunger for Linsanity mode to break out. Jeremy is still playing out in Taiwan (& China before that), making 38, 35 & 50 point games & recently won a championship in the Plus League, so now he has 2 pro-ball championship rings.

      That fault totally went to Dolan. Melo may have had some influence throwing Lin out, but the whole thing is on Dolan. It's now 2024 & Jeremy now has 2 championship rings in his mid 30's & Melo has zero, permanently, since Melo decided to retire in 2023.
