Who’s still watching after 11yrs? 🎉❤
Love that Jason Kidd was the first to go over and give Lin respect after the game ended.
Kidd sure has has class, and good role model for the kids.
@@tclinn2909 Um you know he had domestic violence charges and drunk driving charges right. Planned a team mutiny to get Byron Scott fired.

9 yrs later and I’m still watching Lin amazing moments, he did it for the team, Melo did for himself 🤷♂️
exactly man and you can tell the team appreciated him, no matter what Melo did in his career ill always remember him not wanting to share the light with a humble kid.
@@nathanxd685even though it was a short period-of time, it was REALLY REALLY fun those days man. Those Lin vs Kobe game still stuck in my mind R.I.P
even jr smith was passing to lin
lin changed the knicks during his run
Even jr looked good with Lin man I miss Linsanity
No disrespect to prime New York jr, the dude was actually insane
Lin was the best thing that happened to the Knicks in the last 20 years.
@Abraham Duncan what benefits u from it? besides of being a trash person. why do u care someones social media. well if she let u do that my bad.

Until Melo ruined it
Look at them having fun. This is the type of basket I would love to watch.
MindWalker But Melo destroyed it.
People forget how good Lin made his teammates. Steve Novak and Landry Fields became household names. Melo ruined what could have been a very good team
EXACTLY✅💯
Nonso Mokwuah
Yea we could have traded him for a bunch of first round picks and keep this line which was playing so well together. We would’ve been set for a while. If even if there was a very low chance of winning a title, at least they were very entertaining to watch.
The whole organization was fucking stupid! Until now .. Sold out crowd play off athmosphere every game , but he was Asian so it made it easier for them to make the decision to go the other way.. even road games other teams fans couldn't wait to get tickets and be a part of the linsanity.. I'm just glad I got to witness it for a short time .. thank you Jeremy ..👍🏼
Melo should be down right ashamed for what he did to Lin & the NY Nicks Team
Yeah its sad how NBA treated Jeremy Lin. Really messed up and thats why I no longer watch NBA because of how racist they are towards asians (especially american born asians.)
the nets game... amazing. utah game... he can do it again!... the wizards... he can dunk! the lakers... he can score 38 pts!... the raptors... he can shoot a cold blooded game winner... the mavs... he can do it against a good defense... and then melo. the end.
omg lmao that was good

When Lin was playing, New York had no superstars the entire team was working together for the Win. Gonna miss it for years.
A decade later Linsanity still give me chills 🥶
It's literally 10 years later and I'm just reliving the Linsanity. HOW IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE GRAPHIC?! LIN outscored KD, Westbrook and LeBron WTF 😆
And he did it in "the context of team basketball" as Mike D'Antoni said after the Lakers game.
Who is still here watching Lin after 8 years???
Me
Will never forget. Such an amazing time that forever be marked in Knick’s history.
Nice to reminisce...

The knicks are like Holy F! … how did we get a real point guard…!!!
These were the good days.

After Patrick Ewing era, Linsanity was actually the last time the Knicks were relevant.
Also allan houston with sprewell late 90s
Lin was able to bring out the best of each of his teammates in every game. He was able to carry his team for them to carry themselves.
Yep, EVERY players stats went up when Lin was the PG. Knicks fucked up by keeping Melo and trading Lin.
Lin is clearly a capable playmaker. It's mindboggling why Rockets don't realize that... smh
That was the original plan when they signed him. Once OKC traded Harden to the Rockets, that plan fell through.
Melo turned out to be fool's gold.
“Fool’s Gold” eh, more like a fucking dumpster fire

11 years and im still watching this.
The energy is contagious. After the steal that led to a jam by Lin at the end of the 3rd quarter, I was caught in the moment until the very end. I hope he can recreate this hype with the Nets and completely turn the franchise over.. so that I can finally say, "take that, Knicks"
The knicks actually had unselfish teamwork and good flow with their passing while Lin was on the squad but as soon as Melo came back it became this weird combo of "Well we have this superstar and we have to satisfy his touches but at the expense of what we had before Melo came back"
Use to look so forward to watching the Knicks play with Lin on it because it then BECAME a 'TEAM' sport. The game became fun instead of just watching the superstars hogging up the ball all the time. I was even ready to buy season tickets - But ever since he left, I'll admit, I haven't watched the Knicks one time............. Come on, even the bench players like Novak were doing great when he was given the chance AND the ball - Lin did just that by just passing to him more.
4stripguy blame melo for whining to the front office to get him traded. Hell even when Chauncey was there the team played better. But melo wants all the shine to himself until he's just out there fighting 1-on-5.
4stripguy Melo is a cancer
4stripguy Tell that to Stephen Racist Smith. He calls him overrated and hates on him every time they talk about him on first take. Knicks with Lin were winning = facts. but I agree with your comment 100%
freestylerandmc101 yeah bro you got it right...
+nayhum lun I'm asian and I hate Stephen A. Smith with a passion but let's be honest-Lin is only good if he has the ball in his hands all the time, or where he can be a sixth man who comes in and dominates the ball. Unless you have a team where nobody else needs the ball, he's a third guard. And it's true he was overrated during Linsanity, you had people talking about him like he was an allstar, and he's not.
The knicks made a mistake Melo was toxic to thee franchise. Jeremy was a beacon of hope he helped them win he was playing like an all star and he was getting everyone involved in the game. Jeremy should of been the star.
Shady Boy I agree, Jeremy should’ve been a star but fucking melo ruined it

The primary problem was, is, and always will be Dolan.
@@rabbijoe316 ALSO TRUE✅💯
@@excellingdeicide2967 the real way to fix the Knicks would've been at 1 of 2 points:
1) Trade Lin during the 2012 offseason where his stock was high (possibly package w/ STAT), shed some cap space, build depth and/ or draft picks, or
2) The moment you find out Phil Jackson is considering trading Porzingis, you fire him. That day. KP doesn't leave, you probably do get Durant (and someone else). Build/ develop around them.
IS IT JUST ME OR KNICKS PLAY BETTER WHEN MELO IS NOT PLAYING?
Yep. Saw the preseason game against the Nets. Nets were winning. Then Melo sat and the Knicks won. lol
Melo gotta step up if we wanna make the playoffs this year

I remember watching this in 2nd grade. These were one of the best moments of my life, seeing Jeremy Lin play.
What a fine game by Lin against Mavs, the former champion.
And Lin scored more points than Kevin Durant at that point of time.

This is the only time I cheered for the Knicks and watched their game

Hands down, the best part of that awful lockout season. Jeremy Lin made a dreary season a lot of fun. Even when he torched my guys (Lakers), I enjoyed it...because he made the Knicks relevant and it was just enjoyable to watch.
I miss this Knicks team. it was so so so much fun
Man I miss that time
I just love the exuberance with which he plays this game.
When D'Antoni left that was the end of Lin.
lin can take what he learned from d antoni's system with him
D'Antoni probably resigned because of Melo's jealously on Lin.
Even 10 years later this is Still really exciting to watch! Awesome
when he dunked it wow the arena went nutssssssss imagine being there wow just wow

Insane to think about. From undrafted to pumping up millions

Thank You Carmelo...
Back when Jeremy Lin was better than KD, Deron Williams, Westbrook and Lebron. LOL
Always was
jeremy lin certainly proved that he's made for the nba, he is not the best but he is better than lot of the other point gaurds that play in the league. He certainly deserves to play in the nba. Also, this season although the rockets have made him 6th man he has improved his shooting by a mile and have looked dangerous against any team he's played, he's certainly proved that he can play big on any given night but just needs more consistency and this season he has been more consistent on delivering the points, no matter how he plays i will say he's a real role model to young kids who aspire to be something in life, he proved that with hardwork and determination you can fulfill your dreams no matter how impossible...

7:51 I lose my shit when Lin hit that three over Dirk!
I was at this game and haven't really ever seen this kind of excitement in the NBA in person. Dirk had a great game but Lin and teammates would not be denied their win. If they kept Lin, Knicks games would have been the hottest ticket in the NBA for years.
I really hope this Linsanity comes back again in 2020
He's not in the NBA anymore ..
no longer with the nba, but i hear he's killing it in china, hope they put some respect on his name there
Lin has left China. He has been in pickup runs with Golden State players. Rumor has it GS is gonna sound him for the vet min.
Fields had so much potential. Damn injuries !!!!!!!!!!!
Lin was such an unselfish and humble player! Everybody on the team was eating! 😂🏀
He was literally the reason why the Garden was full. I don’t think some people really understand how his short-lived sensational play affected the fans. It made them interesting and fun to watch again.
I remember being at this game. It was good time for knicks fans. It was a nice break from the usual disappointment.
How did Linsanity stop?
@@chessworks5124 Melo came back
Just watched this again on Feb 13, 2023. That three point shot over Dirk is what sticks on your mind with this particular game. Jeremy Lin is now playing in China and still balling. Hope he can still find his way back to the NBA. You're the best, @JLin7 !! :)
no he's 34, about to retire
Here watching Lin even after he was forced to leave NBA. Knicks could have been a really great team and a force to be reckoned with. Great team play!
that's hreat team play for jeremy lin show
of 2012
This is definitely one of my all-time favorite feel-good sports stories!!!
Knicks became a team ^^ because of LIN ^^
The one thing that really sticks out to me the most about this game, despite how amazing it was, is his mother's reaction from 6:13 (she's to the left of the screen standing next to her son, Jeremy's older brother, and they're both wearing white VIP passes around their necks). She's clapping for him but then covers her face, overcome with emotion probably because of all the trials their family endured and all the sacrifices she made for her baby boy to even reach this point of his life, receiving the much deserved accolades that he was during this run. Everyone was on the "Linsanity" vibe outta nowhere but she knew all the struggles that came before that he went through just to even get a shot in the NBA, let alone be the main focus of this magical run that the Knicks haven't seen anything like since. I'm sure hearing the crowd shout his name sent chills up her spine and made her so proud! Don't even know her but I felt happy for her! 😊❤
I'm actually intrigued by that beautiful young Asian woman sitting on the left of his mom, heh.
Hope we get him back one day because we should do need him
I think Lin should try the San Antonio Spurs while Duncan is still playing. Those guys have great chemistry and no ball-hogs. He would learn a lot there.
Peter Parker that's up to the coaching staff. :) I believe tie Popovich system will work for him.
adrenalinerush369 but tony parker is still there. he could be a nice backup though.
Peter Zhong True. Especially since Parker may need to take breaks a bit more to avoid running him down now that he's older.

This is one of my favorite games ever
Lin was Really Something Special. He was Greatness plain and Simple! Especially during the Linsanity period. I can watch this same game every few days forever!
The fact that he had more points than Kevin Durant and Lebron James in there prime was crazy even if it was only for a couple of games
Damn Steve Novak was on fire during linsanity too
LIN is an absolute beast and carried his team hard. Carmelo is a selfish washout that ruin the NY!💯
it's 2018. i'm down today cause i found out the guy i was dating is now exclusive with someone else...i was on youtube and somehow ended up here...watching linsanity is making me feel better. it just shows u can be down one day and up the next. let's hope that's true for my love life too. thanks for posting.

Gaaay
Kinda weird to be dating a dude that has other chicks on the payroll... guess maybe that's just me and im the one not in touch with society.
I’ve watched Linsanity clips over n over again, he actually has achieved the area where any Asian can ever reach. From 1 of an interview he kinda express of not doing enough in the past n injuries..n accepting the fact that’s what life is…this’s the kind of person that really brings the moralistic positive energy in him to those people around .. anyway he’s already a legend, “air Jordan”’n “Linsanity” the 2 most common figure will always pop up in all NBA fan’s memories.
jlin was ballin out of his mind
Best New York's memory in decades, worth remembering for long period of time.
Lin jersey sales must've been crazy in 2012
The League Did not value Lin enough.
New York should have kept Lin. Chicago recognized the power and ability of Jordan, designed the team around him. The top ten players of all time were exceptional and when a team rewards their fans with great players - then you create a star.
Unlike New York who did not see the potential and traded a star to dumb ass land.
Lin is young enough to land with a team who will see him for what he is - a standout.
Dwayne Abrahams
The comparison will come at the end of Lin's career.
***** Lin, for the past 2 years has been the only bright spot for New York...even with Melo there. THeir team lack fluidity, chemistry, everything....IMO its a shame they couldn't match for Lin's contract because he was a great fit for D'Antoni's system and was the real spark for New York...not Melo. Now he's in LA, and although i am a huuuge Lakers fan i dont see Lin playing well with kobe. They both need to hold the ball to make things happen.
Steven Saing dude they could have EASILY signed him to a much cheaper extension than what Houston did. They purposefully let him test the market, and that came to bite them in the ass later.
Lin was a RFA , the rockets offfered him a high pay ...the knicks couldn't match it. idk about "easily" if that was the case
Dwayne Abrahams"we" lol. Idiot.
Not a huge basketball watcher so this is my first time ever seeing this and man… I wish I got to witness this in real time
Your avatar certainly seems like you are a “watcher “
6:02 i need a replay button
Gotta respect Novak for being able to read the court and moving up to guard and it allowed lin to swoop in and steal.
Awesome game. One of my favorite players
These games shows you how important chemistry is in a team- Jeremy made many unknown players step up and contribute and winning games. This versus a one man Carmello team losing games…
This was about a great 2 weeks I've had as a knick fan since the Ewing Knicks in the 90's.
Not a Lin fan but admit it, that Linsanity run was insane.
I love this game, especially that dunk. I hope we get to see Lin play like this again.
Lin's season this year has been, as some say, "inconsistent." I believe it may be due to a loss in confidence, or fear that he'd be pulled out of the game if he makes a mistake. While I do love the team dynamic of the Rockets, I don't think Houston is a good fit for Lin. I am optimistic and excited to see what he'll do next season.
Jeremy Lin could have been one of the best point guards in nba history he could have give a championship for The knicks and them Carmelo came🤦🏿♂️
I was at this game. the garden was electric. I had so much hype for this team. Then, Melo came and it all came crashing down
Watching this in 2020 and man do I miss watching NBA games in person...
As a Heat fan, I couldn't appreciate this when it was unfolding, as I hate the Knicks with every fiber. But in retrospect, this was such a cool story.
Knicks looked much more like a unity when melo is absent
After 10 years im still here watching lin again and again and again. It was all so good, it was becoming a true team consisted of non superstars until melo got threatened about his career and ruined everything for Knicks.
I wish Jeremy will have spot again to play in nba league
You cant win with melo. His game makes everyone around him bad
Just imagine lin was still in the Knicks with kristaps
Always fun to watch and live these memories back :)
One of the good days in the NBA where you go not just to watch basketball but to join the hype
This is just bad team management from the Knicks standpoint. Lin was the perfect compliment for a team with strong shooters like Carmelo and Novak- a drive and kick type of PG. Even if they had to replace him, replacing him with a shooting guard like Felton was a terrible idea.
Although what you said was true, you also have to put blame on Jeremy Lin as well. If you remember, Lin had a chance to stay with the Knicks if he signed the 3yr/$21mil contract they offered. Instead he chose the money that the Rockets gave him which was a 3yr/$28mil. The fact is that the Knicks refused to pay Lin that much money and rightfully so because he only had 7 great games and not to mention he did not play in the playoffs when he got injured. Simply put, Lin had NY at the palm of his hands and let it go only for the money. The guy could have been their John Starks because Starks had a similar story Lin had.
Alover GuruMan Wait wasnt Jeremy Lin a restricted free agent? He didnt have a choice to go to Rockets. Knicks had to match Rockets offer, and because the Knicks refused to, Lin had to move to Rockets.
@Alover
There was only one contract for Lin to sign. Blame Dolan for never making him an offer . Lin would have stay for $3-5 mil/yr. Dumb Dolan. And Carmelo wanted no one else to take his spotlight.
Your all wrong... Anyone could see how Carmelo [with Woodson's and Dolans approval ] were forcing Lin to pass the ball to him the same way Harding did in Houston.. Carmelo will never win a championship unless he learns how to play with other high quality players..
Alover GuruMan
No, Dolan told Lin to test the market, and he would match anything up to a billion dollars. When Huston offered $28mil, Lin had to do it because he was a restricted free agent, and Dolan would not give him a better offer. Like Carl Vu said, he would have stayed for 3-5mil/year if none of this ever happened.
Look at the crowd. They love him !
This team play better without melo.
Die Hard Knick fan. I'll watch THE Knicks as long as needed..
yea lin needs to have the ball a lot in order to be effective. right now a lot of times lin is left on the wing to make open 3's which he's been pretty good at. he needs to go to a different team he's easily a 15 point plus scorer and 8 plus assists a game.
The Knicks will never be great again until we get rid of the worst owner in all sports! Dolan is the worst!
AGREED✅💯
he was possessed in those days!
just can't stop watching these clips at midnight. It make my blood afire.
The commentator said it best. "Lin energized the crowd and the franchise."
You can see a team here. Unlike Carmelo, Lin turned his teammates great. Opponent's defense does not only focus on Lin. Everyone is a threat. That's how good a point guard Lin is.
More so they focused on him so he got the others involved
Like he knew if they are trying to get to him, make the necessary shots to keep them that way but then fake them out with aggression
