I loved this video for a lot of reasons. The way this video was shot, the editing, the environment and the "no overexcited vlogger giving reviews" vibe. It allowed for a change of pace from the regular food vlogging content YT majorly has nowadays. Also, I noticed the broth was very lightly seasoned and full of vegetables. Overall, a good breakfast in my opinion which gives you a fresh start for the day. And I am thankful to the cooks that still make these type of dishes without resorting to cheese, mayo,etc and also the youth for gladly enjoying the dish as it is.

Thanks for the video. Much appreciated. What appealed to me was food served in porcelain dishes and the care with which the hotelier served the food. I am amazed at the hard work of preserving the cutlery when today sadly most of the joints serve in paper or plastic plates even in restaurants. This was such a wonderful gesture to the guests by the host. May the owner be blessed with all success and prosperity.

When I visited Kolkata my friend took me to a place like this near the Kalighat metro station. It was absolutely delicious. Simple omelette, buttered toast, and strong black tea. I miss that so much. Hopefully I can visit again soon.

Three questions for your terse dismissal of "Kolkata and it's people".
1. Was loaf available in the 18th century? Stew? Tea? Before Britts came over?
2. Will you comment the same if you see a video of a Vada Pao eatery in Mumbai? A dosa eatery in Bangalore? Or they don't exist in 21st century Mumbai/Bangalore?
3. So, what should be the ideal morning breakfast eatery that fits 21st century? McDonalds? Dunkin? Starbucks?
It is easy to discredit Kolkata and people do that all the time (and Bengalis themselves do that most). But Kolkata is a lively city from politics to sports to fashion to art and culture to food. Notice that I excluded "economy".
"Slow and stubborn" Kolkata still produces talents in almost every sphere of life. And I see stagnant water, dirt, rats, stains of fresh urine on pavements (left by the Homeless the night before or very early morning) in NYC every day.
