There's something in the shots. This episode looks so much better, even more so than the previous ones. The team has caught the vibe very well! One thing to note is that the Kochuri seller had the whole root of hing! Previously, afghans used to sell it in Kolkata back in the colonial days, but now it comes in dust, store-bought form! I'm guessing this root paste is gonna taste much better.
Solid hing is available through out the country, but people prefer the powdered form for ease of use. Handling solid hing with fingers leaves a lingering aroma which does not go even when washed with soap.

Really felt happy after watching this video, it is amazing to see hard working Bengali young man otherwise
the clarity of thought and explanation given by the kachuri vendor is ✅👍
it feels really good to just walk on these busy corners. i live in chandigarh but old cities like varanasi have special feelings in my heart. it just feels awesome to enjoy street food, hearing tales from yogis, talking to aunties and visiting old monuments of these cities. all u need to do is just litsen to these people, respect their talks and give them attention. they're very humble and friendly.
Lovely video! Reminded me of home, but personally, I didn't appreciate the word 'slum food.' I saw the Ganges-the holy river, the people, the food, and the hard-working common men striving to make a difference. Now sure how 'this' is related to 'slum.'
The beauty of India 🇮🇳❤️
I enjoyed watching this so much
The love and pride and contentment of this man makes me happy I would really love to taste his food 👌
I literally love to eat in old, smal&tiny food vendors or any small food stall especially old generation food store's,idc if thats a poor shop. It's really nostalgic and heartwarming🩷thing to me.

A very beautiful story telling. It shows how every person you come across have their own unique story to share. That every person is special working hard to carry on with their lives. The way this person spoke showed his passion in his work. Humble guy indeed. Perfect candidate for this documentary. Well done CNA.
This is such a soulful video. Depicting joy, happiness, and amazing food at the same time. Despite the small residence they live in, it shows the true dedication of the people to achieve greatness.

Anybody who lived in Kolkata for at least a month would know that Kolkata may not be a bright flourishing modern city like Bangalore but a city that grows on your heart. For us natives, Kolkata is a emotion and we wouldn't even have wanted to change it a inch if the world was not in a rat race to show off financial wealth.
A very good documentary.
Thanks to CNA for coming in West Bengal.
Salute to millions of toiling, hard-working people like him who are a shining example simply by their blood & sweat that they put into their work with passion and are striving for quality. Their small time venture is sure to succeed.
