If you arrive to the restaurant and they are closed. Don't cancel it on the app, call doordash support and let them do it. If you let them do it. It's not going to affect your completion rate. Usually if that happens to me or the order was canceled. They usually give you half pay for it.
Hey Ming be extra careful on the electric scooter! I had to spend the day with my dad at the hospital bc he fell off of his and scraped his face, hand and knee up. He wasn’t wearing a helmet and got a fractured nose bridge and some scrapes and bruises. Luckily his head CT scan came back clean and he just needed sutures on his face. Keep wearing your helmet and be super careful. Don’t be in a rush!
@@CigarettesAfter126 He said he was going slow, so maybe 5ish mph? He swerved to avoid something on the ground, lost control and fell on his hand and scraped his face up. He’s older and it could’ve been a lot worse. Wear helmets and be careful ppl!

You should use an insulated bag. Also, you were supposed to get half pay for the Dos Toros order. You should have called customer service and demanded the half pay.
I didn’t say you HAD to use a bag. But its nice to keep customers’ food warm or cold. As a previous poster said, it can affect your customer rating. If your customer rating gets too low, you can can deactivated. I was actually trying to help you.
After seeing other people do door dash, I would say this wasn't really door dash more door crawl, you had nothing to put the food in to stop it going cold, and you spent any money you made on an expensive drink. There seemed to be no urgency in your work, and that scooter probably didn't even get about 10 mph, you wore no protective clothing, other than a helmet, and you didn't seem to know where you were going. just observations not criticisms, oh and you then drove home presumably you drove there as well, so clearly you won't make much if any money if that's how you work.
Hmmm, how the hell does DoorDash make any $$$ where 1 order, you got paid $5.75 from DoorDash How much commission are they charging the stores where they can pay you $5.75 for 1 order 🤔 DoorDash must be also putting mom & pop shops delivery out of business since those delivery guys make most of their $$$ off tips & maybe only get below minimum hourly wages I dunno since I've never been a delivery guy 🤔🤣🤭
Good question, they definitely do make enough money to stay afloat though! I believe there are commissions ranging from 6-30% for restaurants partnering with DoorDash, depending on your plan.

The good thing about this job is that it's flexible and you can make your own schedule!

"I got the highest tips ever" = I worked three hours for 40 dollars and still have to pay taxes on that. $10 an hour.
From an accountant standpoint, you're probably considered self employed and you're young so you're going to get hit hard with taxes.
