    I have been contemplating taking my onewheel on the train to Chicago and commuting to office. You have convinced me I must do this.

    Can say enough about how much I enjoyed this video from the breaking tutorial to seeing my old NYC stomping grounds and towing a stranded rider. Also didn't know VESC boards hit those speeds. Just been doing trail riding on the Pint S for now (been a blast) but may look at VESC down the road. Thanks for this awesome video.

    I've always done your braking tip but never thought to explain it to anyone, good job; it probably doesn't occur to people who've never snowboarded, but if you have you know that turning is HOW you stop, so combining it with a OW's motor-braking makes sense and feels natural.

      Ooh that's such a good observation tying it back to snowboarding! That's probably where I got it from too

    Wow that's nuts how you're able to look and sound all calm and casual during such a dangerous looking ride! The Insta360 also works great with its "invisible selfie stick" effect, I added that to my Amazon wishlist right away.

    Great breaking tips! 🤙That is exactly how I brake, I just turn while slowing down and get the hell out of the way. Do more of these types of videos for sure. Maybe get you a DJI 2 mic as they can connect Bluetooth to your x4. You should only need a single transmitter. That way you can talk to camera even if the camera is not right in your face. I have family in NY, next time I visit we need to connect and you can take me on a tour of the city. ➖☠️➖🤙🤙

    I have the braking on my GT-S set to +5 and it has saved my ass a few times, I highly recommend the strongest braking possible on your onewheel if you're street riding.

    How is the lil duro on the pint?

    • @quinn_wheel
      @quinn_wheel  2 месяца назад

      So good!! It took this board up a huge notch. This is legit my favorite board ever! The Lil Duro adds significantly more sidewall, which eats up bumps better, and gives the tire a slightly boxier profile, which makes it more stable. It feels a lot like the 655 Enduro! Perfect mix of stability, nimbleness, and shock absorption. It gives the Pint a bit higher ride height, so the clearance is improved as well, especially since the Pint's rails are so short. I like this board more than my XR now haha!

      @@lidarman2 yeah thighs definitely get sore after a full day of riding. Feet are usually the thing to give out first for me tho. Sometimes I’ll do 40, 50, 60mi in a day and boy are my feet aching after 12+ hours out 😅

    How to write a one-wheel in New York City you don't you get an EUC

  •  3 месяца назад +1

    Traffic lights *DO APPLY* to bikes and the fact that bikers don't respect them is the reason nobody likes them. In fact, traffic laws apply to everyone regardless of their means of transportation.

    • @quinn_wheel
      @quinn_wheel  3 месяца назад +2

      @@quinn_wheel Have fun getting hurt and then going bankrupt because I sued you for the damages. 😄

    • @EvilAnomaly
      @EvilAnomaly 3 месяца назад +2

      Lets be honest, even if bikers respected the lights car drivers would still hate them just like they hate each other. It's hardly about not stopping at red lights. While they might make a driver here and there annoyed it's not the main reason for the hate.

    •  3 месяца назад

      @@EvilAnomaly Just out of curiosity; What's your means of transportation? I drive, I ride both bikes and motorcycles and I also walk. I currently live in London, but if you go to countries like Germany, Denmark or The Netherlands, it's not only expected that you follow the rules and standards but you'll also be fined (heavily in come cases) if you don't. Maybe it's an American thing, but where I live you are not above the law and you don't have the right to disrespect the law because you feel like it. To give you a simple example; In Holland, people will happily knock you down and run over you if you walk on a bike lane.

    • @quinn_wheel
      @quinn_wheel  3 месяца назад +1

      It seems like you’re approaching this from a perspective of following the law, as if the law holds a moral standing. In the example of the Netherlands, they have really good bike infrastructure built out, and beneficial laws that give protection for cyclists. So of course, everyone is in agreement with the good policies there, and they don’t interfere with the cycling infrastructure. In the US, our laws are shit, and the oil and gas industry has taken over the majority of our cities and infested them with car infrastructure, so we must deal with what we have. Part of what I love about New York is that everybody accepts that people outside of the cars deserve to use the roads as well, and we all figure out a way to make it work!
