I’m a retired senior with loads of time to pursue learning guitar online. I’ve spent countless hours seeking out lessons to help me for whatever I’m working on. After a lot of thinking and listening , I’m of the opinion that you Dave are the best I’ve come across. THE VERY BEST. There are many great teachers online but you are for me the best teacher/instructor. I like your style better than Tommy Emmanuel. He’s an awesome man with a guitar. He’s an entertainer more than a teacher though.Thanks for all that you do. If you provided pdf’s for the lessons that would be so great.
Agree wholeheartedly. This strum lesson is very, very good. I'd love to hear more muted string strum demonstrations. For some reason that muted string demo in this video was what got me understanding the rhythm. I"m just a novice beginner (like Tim, retired with lots of time to learn!).

That's a really good lesson, even if these are simple techniques it is sometimes difficult for a beginner to get it sounding right and you have a really helpful way of explaining the details, it has helped me a lot as I was having trouble getting that strumming pattern right, I could do alternate bass easily enough but the strums were messy and now I can see how to improve, so I am very grateful. Thank you.

Some (one in particular!!) complain about the over emphasis on the Strumming rather than chord progressions! I'm NOT one of those because, although I've been playing for 3 years, I've struggled on the mechanics of strumming and my pick gets stuck on the strings. I liked this emphasis on the strumming - brilliant, thank you. Oh, by the way, chord progression part was good too!!

That's a Paige capo, there's a thumbscrew that centers behind the neck. Keeps the pressure even across all the strings, intonates better than a Keyser-style one-hand capo, and more convenient than a Shubb.

Hey man, Thanks. Strumming a cool rhythm has always felt a bit stiff and pushed - so it just was hesitant and jumpy. This helped smooth that out.

It would definitely sound fuller, but I don't know that's a bad thing. Different sound than the Cash recording, but a great song works in any setting.
