I adore the new 13 Mini. After testing the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max for a week, I sent those obese underachievers back for the 13 mini as it is far more impressive as a flagship iphone in its ultra small and light weight size. I can carry it everywhere and it disappears in any pocket. The speakers and screen brightness are the same as the much heavier 13 Pro. Battery testing only shows a 5% difference at the end of the day between the 13 mini and 13 pro. This means battery life for the entire 13 iPhone line is a non issue, even for heavy users. The 13 Mini is the “rock star” of the iPhone line up. I went with a 13 Mini 512gb in Starlight/white. I own lots of big phones (Note 20 Ultra, 11Pro, etc..) but don’t think I could ever lug those around again as a daily after the 13 mini totally spoiled me. It really is a “game changer” as there is no other flagship phone with this kind of power in this small of a size.
I’ve bought an iPhone 13 mini and I’m very satisfied with this small iPhone. Battery life is better then expected and the camera is ridiculous good, especially the video recording (4K Dolby Vision 10-bit HDR at 60 fps). I owned an iPhone 11 before and the OLED display on the iPhone 13 mini is lovely.
This is exactly why I went with the 13 Pro Max… the mini is good, but the Pro Max is just better. I will say Apple should keep making the mini because people still like it and they can more then afford to keep making them.
I recently went from the 12 pro max to the 13 mini and I absolutely love my mini. The screen may be smaller but I never have trouble reading or watching things. If anything it feels more intimate.
I love my 12 Mini. It's the perfect size when out and about. It fits in my shirt pocket and you can use it with one hand. When home I use my XR to watch you tube videos because of the bigger screen. Reception is very good in Ottawa with very very few dead spots. Not a heavy user so battery lasts all day. Great phone and hope they do a 14 Mini.
Went from a xr to 13 mini. No complaints from me. watch about 6hours of content on youtube or netflix during my nightshifts with about 30% left after a 8hour shift.
i’ve been wanting to get the mini , i have a 12 but i honestly just wanted a better battery life and a smaller phone with a better camera. What do you think Is best?
I work in construction and I've dropped this phone so many times where I was certain it would have shattered and its barely got a scratch. I haven't even bought a case for it and I've had it for a year now.
It's perfect for people with small hands without compromising too much. The last Android phone I absolutely loved was galaxy a3 2017, so with slightly smaller size, bigger screen and better battery (from experience rather than the specs on reviews) I'm super happy with this phone..
Using the 13mini since launch, came from samsung a51. No problem at all. In fact I get slightly better battery backup with the mini. I am not a gamer though. It lasts 24 hrs with 50 % battery each and every day. I charge once it reach to 30% till 80% on daily basis. Once again just a great phone.
@@safaa7uae811 I feel its a better practice to not charge the phone 100% every now and then. it is better for the battery, same as not to drop the percentage below 20 very often. Helps in better longer battery health.
Coming back from an android, I totally love my new iPhone 13 pro. It’s “pro” and the perfect size in my opinion. The pro max is way too big and heavy. They did a good job with the 13 pro and the updates help a lot. Also, the camera is absolutely amazing, rear and front, especially considering I real compromises on the front camera (yes you can record in 4K and cinematic on the front camera). The phone definitely gets brighter outdoors and works well. Doesn’t get too hot at all for me. I don’t think I could ever settle for less, like the non pro model or mini. I guess it’s a niche thing for people who like small phones, though it’s actually bigger than older iPhones, strangely enough. By the way, T-Mobile is the best. If you didn’t know, on the magenta max plan, there is no data throttling and you can turn on “4K UHD video streaming” on the T-Mobile app/website, and watch RUclips in 2160 plus no slowdown or lag! Came from Verizon….and they kinda suck now.
@@FlightyDollGaming On T Mobile if you have Magenta Max, it should be on your profile in the app or website, under account and profile settings, or you could try manage plans/add ons and you’ll see a button for 4K streaming. Makes a huge difference!
Went from a galaxy note to this and it’s the best phone ever made. I’m not sure how anyones battery dies so fast this thing can easily survive from morning to night unless you’re a phone addict.
I’m using the base model 13 in blue 128gb. I chose the regular 13 mainly because I don’t need the new camera features of the pro and the pro max is too big! I checked out the 13 mini but it was too small even though the screen real estate is larger than the se2020 it felt smaller in my hand. The regular 13 is the sweet spot for me! All the features I need great screen size and an amazing battery! Plus the blue color is gorgeous!
The iPhone mini is the best thing that Apple has done since 2007, which was like a tribute to that great device that changed the history of cell phones, but now Apple is unfortunately going to leave it behind.
I went back and forth a few times but I finally ordered the 512gb starlight mini. I can't wait to pick it up later today. I also got the spigen magsafe case coming too. Thanks for the video.
Just got my 13 mini today in the blue color. Loving it so far. Traded in my iPhone X as it slowed way down after the iOS 15 update. I missed texting one handed so badly. I could do it on the X but straining my thumbs made it very uncomfortable.
After using S20 Ultra which has 5k mah battery and replaced it with my new 13 mini, I’m shocked that the 13 mini with its 2.4k mah battery screen on time is same as my old S20 ultra at roughly 7 hours…..
Hey Zollo-I have the 13 mini but I don't see the HDR setting during RUclips videos? All I see are the standard viewing options that include 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 2160p. I don't see HDR like you showed in the video, 7:50. Any help would be appreciated. Keep up the great work. This was a fun video to watch since this is the iPhone I use
I’m not believing any rumours about the 13 mini being killed off, they said the same thing when the iPhone 8 was supposed to be the last phone with the home button (so I ran out and bought one) and now we’re getting probably one more after the SE 2020. There is a market for these phones especially in Canada where it’s $600 for the SE 2020 and $400 MORE for the next cheapest iPhone mini. There’s always a need for the smaller phones and I think Apple knows this.
I would since it’s coming from the supply chain of what’s going to be produced next year. However it doesn’t mean they don’t have something else planned
I’m very surprised that you dropped your iPhone Pro max on concrete and nothing happened to it. I knocked down my iPhone 12 on tile floor from the arm rest of a sofa and the screen protector cracked, it got very noticeable scratch on its side and the Face ID stopped working.
That charger looks epic! I think I’ll get one that’ll replace my universal charger I bought 3 years ago. My iPhone 13 pro’s camera bump is too big for that old boy and sometimes it isn’t even charging it 😀
owned smaller phones from way back, xperia x10 mini, xperia mini, z1 compact, z3 compact, xz compact in conjuubction with a ios device (3gs, 5 then 1st gen SE). after sony had left the philippine market was forced to use the galaxy note series( 3,5, and 8) i absolutely still love those phones, but i still miss using a phone one handed on my daily travels. wheb i heard the 13 mini will be the last mini by apple, and at the same time my iphone SE charging IC started to fail, i knew i had to get one immediately, I absolutely love and adore it, i got the silver version and reminds me of the xperia z1 compact had a baby with the iphone 4. i love this
You've got the exact same colors as I do. :D Bought the 12 mini in green as soon as it came up. Now that I can have company phone I ordered 13 mini in midnight. :D
Absolutely the best phone that I have used since the iPhone 5 like you said! I'm not a gamer, but I watch a silly amount of videos, and I still have battery at the end of the day. The one handed use is perfect, the camera is still amazing, and you don't feel like you have to 2 hand for everything. (perfect for parents of younger kids!). I highly recommend getting a spigen ultra hybrid case and tempered glass cover. It all feels like a perfect setup for people on the go, with kids, or who likes ultra portable gear that can fit anywhere. Give it a shot!
I’m roaming with no case. It’s risky and crazy, but it feels great. The only downsides are the screen size and battery, not that the battery couldn’t last a day.

ok after 1 month of using my iphone 13 mini: i came from an iphone7 and only switched because my mic gave up and i didnt want to use headphones to make calls. if my mic would still work, i would have waited for the iphone14 because i like the fingerprint sensor more, just a privacy matter to me. i also saw the "low battery life" videos on the iphone12 mini and i really didnt want to end up with the same sucky battery life as the iphone7 had but as i actually was forced to switch to a newer model i gave the 13mini a chance and i am very surprised. i dont use social media, im a very average user. i do some calls, messages, navigation, tinder, youtube, music. to give you a better idea - average onscreen time / daily 1 1/2h - 2h. my iphone 13 minis battery lasts most of the time for 2 whole days! my iphone7 was dying after 10-12h, same usage. so if you really have to switch and you are an average user, battery life shouldnt be stopping you. the iphone 13 mini is really a great phone and the size is just perfect for me, bigger screen than iphone7 but not a brick in your trousers, especially using a case with bumper. apple also fixed the tiny notch visiblity in videos problem. if you dont have to switch, wait for the iphone14 and if size only mattters, you can still get iphone13mini after the iphone14 was launched. edit: i have super safe privacy and security settings on and i dont use 5G, so that saves battery too
and if you are willing to wait 9 seconds you can make amazing images in dark rooms (no lights)! but what i couldnt really get working so far was cinematic videos (auto focus & blur by looking away) :/

Battery life is better then expected and the camera is ridiculous good, especially the video recording (4K Dolby Vision 10-bit HDR at 60 fps). I owned an iPhone 11 before and the OLED display on the iPhone 13 mini is lovely.
Hopefully we see a 14 Mini, The iPhone 12 mini was unappreciated, so hopefully this one is much better.
This is exactly why I went with the 13 Pro Max… the mini is good, but the Pro Max is just better. I will say Apple should keep making the mini because people still like it and they can more then afford to keep making them.
Although the 13 mini is far too small for me I still think it’s a great phone for its size.
It's a perfect phone for its size
Too small, it should be 5.6 inches
Too small? Nah mate.
@@zahidl5061 iPhone 13 mini screen is too small
It’s 5.4 inch screen
Not used for whole day if while waiting for someone
@@jamescarlos8642huh, i was saying that the 13 mini was to small
iPhone 13 mini is great. I will be holding onto this one for a while. The regular iPhone feels huge now. 😅.
Bought the 13 pro returned it . Bought the 14 pro returned it . Got the mini and i am happy now .
Went from a xr to 13 mini. No complaints from me. watch about 6hours of content on youtube or netflix during my nightshifts with about 30% left after a 8hour shift.
Do you recommend 13 mini or the regular 13? and if not using youtube or netflix, or browsing, how much battery does the mini consume?
@@rehmanali2895 I highly recommend the 13 mini especially if you not doing any of those things mentioned because you will save even more battery.
i’ve been wanting to get the mini , i have a 12 but i honestly just wanted a better battery life and a smaller phone with a better camera. What do you think Is best?
Love my 12 Mini. Hope they keep the Mini design through the iPhone 14.
Amazing review Aaron! Keep up the great work!!! :)
Wow that was a really quick heart! Thanks :D
Love to see 5.8’ Mini
Best size
I work in construction and I've dropped this phone so many times where I was certain it would have shattered and its barely got a scratch. I haven't even bought a case for it and I've had it for a year now.
I love my iphone 13 mini. Fits in my shirt pockets without a problem, nice and light.
I never thought i would like the iPhone mini 13 as much as i did when i got it! Been loving this phone for my everyday use
Its slick and handy
It's perfect for people with small hands without compromising too much. The last Android phone I absolutely loved was galaxy a3 2017, so with slightly smaller size, bigger screen and better battery (from experience rather than the specs on reviews) I'm super happy with this phone..
Here with the hour. Thank you for the content !
Why do you charge it till 80 not 100??
@@safaa7uae811 I feel its a better practice to not charge the phone 100% every now and then. it is better for the battery, same as not to drop the percentage below 20 very often. Helps in better longer battery health.
Do you recommend 13 mini or the regular 13? Also, do you think there will be any resale value of mini in the long run?
Awesome review of the 13 mini Aaron,Thanks,The 13 mini seems to be very decent phone overall!!!Keep up the awesome content🔥🔥🔥.
just bought one and so far absolutely loving it. actually usable in one hand
How do you turn on the 4k streaming with their app?
I pay $10 a month for unlimited 5G in Taiwan.
@@FlightyDollGaming On T Mobile if you have Magenta Max, it should be on your profile in the app or website, under account and profile settings, or you could try manage plans/add ons and you’ll see a button for 4K streaming. Makes a huge difference!
@@Alive_N_freeridinohhhh thank you! This was helpful 😇
@@FlightyDollGaming Of course
Went from a galaxy note to this and it’s the best phone ever made. I’m not sure how anyones battery dies so fast this thing can easily survive from morning to night unless you’re a phone addict.
Great video always explain every detail good review
I love my iPhone 12 Mini, only reason I would get a 13 Mini would be for the battery.
Love your content and the wallpapers you share with us…
I don’t see any leather sleeve for iphone 13 series on apple’s website and as you have shown the clock wont even work on old sleeve.
I went back and forth a few times but I finally ordered the 512gb starlight mini. I can't wait to pick it up later today. I also got the spigen magsafe case coming too. Thanks for the video.
😭😭😭 I love its size. Please keep producing it… I hate big phones.
Thanks really enjoyed the info on the mini 13 with a nonbiased bull.
Great mic, Great Video, Great Representation as Always Sir! 👍
I loved the 13 mini. Upgraded from the SE (first generation) this past month. Best phone so far!
I’m still using SE/OG. Trying to wait til sept for 13 mini but it’s getting increasingly difficult.
Love my 13 PM, but man. I would love a Pro mini…
I want an iPhone 14mini with 5.7” display!!!!
I love the 13 mini. Big battery improvement over the 12 mini. I hope they keep making a mini. I will buy it every time
Just got my 13 mini today in the blue color.
Finally upgraded from a 6s to a 13 mini, i’m entirely convinced i’ve made the right choice considering i dont like big phones and tablets!
Thanks!
I use it as my second phone for 2 months now believe me its a very powerful machine. Am lucky enough to hve it.
Liked that leather case for the iPhone 12 mini. Where can I get one like that?
After having a 6.1 inch iPhone for the last few years I’ve decided to get the promax because it’s bigger and better for my eyes
@@zollotech Well hopefully they keep the SE the same, I’m not one to get bored with something that works good and that I’m used to
Sorry but we’re getting an iphone 14 max and not a mini. The iphone se 2022 is going to be your best bet for a smaller phone enthusiasts.
Love your videos
Dude what is the wallpaper you’re using on your iPhone 13 mini? My wife wants to know!
I absolutely love this phone… I bought it last week and am so glad I did. It’s a perfect phone. ❤️
My iPhone 13 pro’s camera bump is too big for that old boy and sometimes it isn’t even charging it 😀
Is it smaller than the new se?
Your wallpapers are one of the best.
Do you have all wallpapers on 1 page? Could not find on your site!!
I enjoyed your review. I am using the 13 Pro Max. Blessings on your day.
Great video Aaron. Unfortunately the “mini” phones are wayyyyy too small for my hands lol. I’ll stick with my 13 Pro Max!
Where do you get your wallpaper for your mini i love it
should i still get this when the price goes down after the iphone 14 series released, im really considering a small phone like the 13 mini
Love the 13. After the SE, never another bundle or mini
owned smaller phones from way back, xperia x10 mini, xperia mini, z1 compact, z3 compact, xz compact in conjuubction with a ios device (3gs, 5 then 1st gen SE). after sony had left the philippine market was forced to use the galaxy note series( 3,5, and 8) i absolutely still love those phones, but i still miss using a phone one handed on my daily travels. wheb i heard the 13 mini will be the last mini by apple, and at the same time my iphone SE charging IC started to fail, i knew i had to get one immediately, I absolutely love and adore it, i got the silver version and reminds me of the xperia z1 compact had a baby with the iphone 4. i love this
Love my 13 mini, it fits perfectly in my hand and my hands are big enough to use the phone one handed with ease
Most detailed video on RUclips
8k amazing work.....The video size must be huge??
They need to make 15 Mini. Or 16 Mini.
U do it great job!I respect u!I follow u all the time!I am from Bucharest România 🇧🇪
You've got the exact same colors as I do. :D Bought the 12 mini in green as soon as it came up. Now that I can have company phone I ordered 13 mini in midnight. :D
do you have link to the wallpaper its looks so good thhanks you
Absolutely the best phone that I have used since the iPhone 5 like you said! Give it a shot!
wallpaper link of the mini please ?
thanks!
I’m roaming with no case. It’s risky and crazy, but it feels great. The only downsides are the screen size and battery, not that the battery couldn’t last a day.
yes saw it on my mac mini with 8k settings looks super duper gorgeous please try to make 8k videos as the are stunningly crisp and clear hats off to your efforts❤️❤️❤️
Thank you

Does the notch blend in with RUclips videos? I’ve seen some reviews that show this.
Got the 13 Mini last week and I absolutely love it. I hope Apple somehow finds a way to bring back this compact form factor. Maybe the new SE could replace the mini.
ok after 1 month of using my iphone 13 mini:
i came from an iphone7 and only switched because my mic gave up and i didnt want to use headphones to make calls. if my mic would still work, i would have waited for the iphone14 because i like the fingerprint sensor more, just a privacy matter to me.
i also saw the "low battery life" videos on the iphone12 mini and i really didnt want to end up with the same sucky battery life as the iphone7 had but as i actually was forced to switch to a newer model i gave the 13mini a chance and i am very surprised.
i dont use social media, im a very average user. i do some calls, messages, navigation, tinder, youtube, music.
to give you a better idea - average onscreen time / daily 1 1/2h - 2h.
my iphone 13 minis battery lasts most of the time for 2 whole days! my iphone7 was dying after 10-12h, same usage.
so if you really have to switch and you are an average user, battery life shouldnt be stopping you. the iphone 13 mini is really a great phone and the size is just perfect for me, bigger screen than iphone7 but not a brick in your trousers, especially using a case with bumper. apple also fixed the tiny notch visiblity in videos problem.
if you dont have to switch, wait for the iphone14 and if size only mattters, you can still get iphone13mini after the iphone14 was launched.
edit: i have super safe privacy and security settings on and i dont use 5G, so that saves battery too
and if you are willing to wait 9 seconds you can make amazing images in dark rooms (no lights)! but what i couldnt really get working so far was cinematic videos (auto focus & blur by looking away) :/
Nice long term review.
the charger is something which i have never seen it is soo damn innovative its toooooo gooood
Hey man what's that beautiful leather case please???
This wallpaper is 🔥
I am a samsung galaxy note user for a decade but i have the iphone 7 and 7plus as a secondary phone for 4years.. But i have switched. I just bought the iphone 13mini 2days ago and i am definitely thinking of using this as the primary phone and xiaomi note 11pro as the secondary phone for my business.. I love the 13mini pro
I have a samsung phone and I'm planning get a new phone I can't decide whether the iPhone 13 mini or the Samsung S22.
I play games casually and I like my graphics very high and I also like taking picture in different social media so I can't choose whether samsung or iphone
Can I use the 13 pro in the 12 pro leather sleeves?
When do you think they’re going to discontinue the mini? I might wanna purchase a back up. Great video thank you..
Can you turn 5G off???
Yes
Yes, if you want to you can, but there's not really a reason to unless you don't have good reception with it
@@zollotech 5G is dangerous!
@@Yogi5D no it isn’t. It’s the same frequencies of your wireless home phone you had many years ago. Cellular frequencies are not even close to the range of actual harmful radiation.
@@zollotech then why is when i hold my phone close to my ear i get a head ache? “just a coincidence in your dream world”?
They need to push a mini that is at a pro level. There are millions of Android users, such as myself, that frankly got sick of not having flagship specs in smaller devices. Sick of standard versions being phablets.
