iPhone 13 Mini 2 Years Later Honest Review - In this video I share with you my updated review after 2 years with iPhone 13 Mini! Share your thoughts, questions, comments, and enjoy the video :)
In my opinion, Apple made a huge mistake by discontinuing the mini lineup. I feel like so many people are discovering how amazing the 13 mini is after the 14 pro and pro max. I've seen so many tech RUclipsrs switching from the 14 pro series down to the mini. Mainly because you get a mini powerhouse that isn't a huge brick. For me 5.4 inches is the right balance of not too big and not too small. If only Apple had given the mini series a few more years, they would have seen a huge increase in sales. More and more are "downgrading" to the 13 mini and very happy with it.
Exactly!! Seeing how the plus is a failure, that shows just because you have a big screen doesn’t mean people are going to want it. If they made a pro mini, a mini with like the 14 pro or 15 pro internals they would sell like crazy.
@@Ninnjette-I think it was the price of the phone that deterred people not the big size, reasons they are going bigger and bigger because that's what people want not small, reasons it's discontinued
@@dark12ain Yeah, consumers didn’t think it was worth the price so it failed. Not everyone wants a huge brick, I don’t. I use my 13 mini over my 14 Pro, the 14 pro is so heavy! I’m just going to hold onto my 13 mini it’s still at 100% battery health, as long as I can.
I wish they would do a mini refresh every 2 years. Put a lower price tag than the standard say 15 we got a winner. This does everything I need my phone to do. No games.
Man, I love this phone, even though the battery life isn’t that great, it was very unique. it was incredible how Apple was able to fit the internals of the regular iPhone 13 inside a much smaller shell. it’s too bad this is the last small iPhone that Apple makes.
Went from a 12 mini to a 13 pro max and just recently to a 13 mini. I feel that the mini limits my phone usage to only essential tasks like calls, messages, payments, music, etc. Having a large phone I found myself on it more than I needed to. I definitely gotten some time back.
This is was my first iPhone. I always love small phone factor of iPhone. Trust me this is one of the best phone ever from iphone. Cameras are decent, power packed performance. It fits very nicely in pocket.
You nailed this review. I’m a light user and love my 13 mini. You also pointed out how much smaller this thing is compared to some other so called “small” phones. It’s true. This thing has no competition.
I’ve been using it for about 1.5 years now. Got it for €450 with 10 months warranty left. I love it because it makes me use my phone less which is huge in today’s world of social media addiction. I also have the MagSafe battery pack so battery life isn’t a problem when I use it more (usually when I travel). The only big con is two-hand typing which is pretty terrible on this small screen. But on the bright side, it’s the best phone for one-hand typing. So there’s give and take.
I upgraded to the 13 mini when they released it in green, & I absolutely love it. It’s a major leap forward from my old 8, & the screen is plenty large enough. Any larger phone would be way too bulky for my pockets. I’ve only been a little disappointed with the drop in battery capacity (88% within 16 months). Overall, it’s by far my favorite iPhone. (previous owner of 4, 5S, & 8)
Had mine since launch, the battery health is at 92%. it currently has a faulty bottom speaker and i am waiting for a replacement phone from Apple, glad i purchased AppleCare+. It's still a great phone and still performs well, the battery lets it down slightly 2 years later but fast charging helps see it through to the end of the day. Unless apple brings out another mini i will be keeping this until software/security support ends. I see no reason to change
Coming from a 12 pro max, this is the best iPhone ever made! I’ve had mine for about 7 months and I absolutely love it! I’m rockin this til the wheels fall off!

Had the 13 mini since it came out, and I love it! I'm a truck driver, so needed a phone that will fit in my shirt pocket. I'm not a big gamer/video user, so screen size is not an issue. This will last me till '24 or '25 when the next SE arrives. Well done, Apple!

My dad uses 12 mini and its kinda like very suited to him coz he always loved small form factor phones and he’s not a techie so he loves it and still it runs smoothly and works efficiently for him none the less the battery also works effortlessly to him !!
Had this phone for 2 years and I'm still very happy with it. Still feels new to me, still love the size. I don't feel the need to upgrade due to a number of factors, and I could happily use this phone for another 2 years.
I traded in my base I phone 14 (upgraded from the se3), and only survived a few months with it because it felt so big to me. I traded it with someone on marketplace for his Mini, and ive had it for a few months now, and its PERFECT for me!!
13:09 THANK YOU. I've been saying it for a while: The main issue of 13 Mini is the price. It was the only thing that held me back from buying it. I'm currently waiting for Sep 12th for the iPhone 15 reveal to I can expect more price drop on the 13 Mini (unless it gets discontinued, I'll just buy from a local store). Wonderful review and thanks for sharing!
Well I would argue there are also people willing to pay more for the mini because they’re looking at the smaller form factor differently. It’s the phone’s primary value proposition because it has all the same hardware as the regular 13 except for a smaller battery primarily. They’re not looking at it like I’m getting less phone physically for my money. They’re looking at it like I want a capable flagship phone but smaller. Like another commenter said, there’s essentially no competition for the mini if you’re just looking at Apple so it comes down to how much all that is worth to you.
Love iPhone 13 mini - cherry red. Just wish Apple would release 15 mini . Personally I think the iPhone SE group is a waste of time. Apple should have been more focused on the mini brand instead.
I recently purchased this phone just a few days back, and it's in pristine condition, all for less than $500. You were spot on about the price; it's precisely why I held off buying it earlier when it was on store shelves. Paying nearly $800 for a 256GB model wasn't as appealing compared to snagging the SE for $429. I'm pleased I waited because I'll end up saving a few hundred dollars. Plus, when I sell my top-notch SE in excellent condition (originally paid $200 due to a promotion), I'll likely get a couple hundred bucks back.
Watching on my iPhone 13 mini. Best iPhone ever. If it had a better battery and a telephoto lens instead of the ultra wide, I’d never switch phones but even though I’m keeping my mini I gotta get a phone with a better battery. So I’m gonna get the 15 pro
I currently use an iPhone 12 and have been using it since it was launched. It has been holding up great, though the only complaint I have about it is screen brightness (the screen is barely bright enough when using it outside). The 13 mini having a nearly 2x brighter display is a major selling point alone, though I will be waiting for the SE4 to release
i just bought the 13 mini last month, it has been my dream phone, and ive been thinking of it ever since it was released, while seeing lots of reviews and feedbacks about the 13 mini here in YT. with just enough sensible planning, in the span of two years since it was released, i still bought it. and right now i believe that it is one of the best decision ive ever made. compact wise, as well as its battery capacity will make you use it a lot more responsibly just really for only the necessities. but ive been wondering if in how many percent is its battery life after 2 years?
Glad you got it bro. Been using this for over 1.5 years. Such a great little machine. Enjoy your time with it. Its sleek and just a very genuinely great hand feel.
@@misoch Reset or update your phone if you want to see the reality of the battery. It's normal for the battery to degrade with time, 100% after 1.5 years is simply impossible, it could be that it didnt update the battery health properly. I've seen it multiple times where people want to sell their iphones with like 95%+ battery health, then they factory reset the phone and battery drops to 85% health.
I've had the 13 mini for some time. It has been superb both as a phone plus as a camera for stills and video. I create shots for client work and for presentations using this device and have been very pleased. The small size has allowed some great images that two handed fumbling with a larger device would have been lost.
@@miroslavgolubic6335 I used to have 4.5h on average, without tweaking the settings and playing videogames (after 2 years of use) it would end up with around 15-20% battery. So i think you can get around 5-6h sot, which isn't that great considering im a medium, sometimes light user, and if I struggled now and then then surely heavier users would hate it. Switched to the samsung s23 and I charge every 2-3 days (I get 40-60% left the next day, compared to the iphone 13 mini that got me to around 15-20% at the end of the first day)
Absolutely love this phone, by far my favorite iphone ever. I wouldn't even consider any of the larger phones since having this one, the SE is absolute garbage. I am so disappointed they stopped selling the mini, I was really hoping they'd eventually drop in price so I could buy a second just to have as a backup. The colors were also great, I love mine in midnight, but I like the green just as much. The white, blue and product(red) versions weren't bad either. I fear the day mine breaks and I am forced to get another oversized iphone. I do understand what people are saying with the short battery life, but personally it doesn't bother me or affect me too much. Only time I ever get to having a low battery is when im spending too much time on my phone anyways. I don't mind throwing it on low power mode which will then last me the rest of the day every time. If I were to use a magsafe external charger I would never run into any battery problems, but like i mentioned its such a non-problem I haven't ever bothered. I find the oversized phones to be way more of a dealbreaker or problem than the battery. It's something you have to contend with every single time you use your phone or put (jam) it into your pocket, whereas i rarely run into battery issues the way I use my phone
Had my iPhone 13 mini for about 6 months & absolutely love it. Threw a battery case on it to give it that extra juice………no complaints. Highly recommended
I've used the iphone 13 mini for 2 years, i'll give you an honest personal review after I switched: The size is amazing if you have 4h screen on time daily on average. For users that spend more time on their phones it will be annoying. There were times where the size slightly annoyed me (especially when playing games or trying to watch something). But for casual use like messages/tiktok/pictures/social media now and then it was great. It's so light in your pocket I often panicked thinking I lost my phone because I couldn't feel it in my pocket. The specs are mostly amazing, you get a flagship phone in a small size. Great camera (horrible camera zoom tho, x5 is just not enough, it's one of the 2 biggest reasons why I switched to samsung), amazing display besides the fact that its only 60hz (wont be a bother if youre not used to 120hz+ phones). There's not much you cannot do with this phone, youre not limited as its still a flagship and you wont feel like you got a cheaper phone. The 2 biggest cons that made me switch: camera and battery life. I'm more of a light user, the first year it was alright, it got me through the day no problem. Even before I switched its not like it run out of battery before getting home, but it just stresses me out to use my phone when its below 20%. You get around 4-5h of screen time with some normal use (social media+camera+30 minutes of games), or 5-6h if you're more careful. It is barely enough for someone like me, but it's a bit stressful. I switched to samsung s23 and the battery legit lasts me 2-3 days. I usually charge it to 100% and have around 40-60% left the second day, and it's not even a phone thats known for its battery life. The second con is the camera, which isn't a mini problem but more of an iphone problem. The camera for x1 pics is amazing, but other than that it's lacking. It's important to have a decent zoom as a student, taking pics of courses. Even when I sat in the first row during a lecture once, it still struggled to take pictures of the projected course, and god forbid you sit a bit further away. The S23 has x3 optical zoom and x30 zoom, I can sit in the very back of the lecture class and have no problem taking a picture. So if you HONESTLY believe you wont need a good camera zoom, and don't mind carrying a battery pack with you (or only use your phone like 3h a day) then it's amazing. I loved the size, even if unconvenient at times, the pros of the size far outgrow the cons (better ergonomics, better portability, lighter, every pocket can hold it). It's just being hold back by casual apple problem and a small battery (which there's not much to do about considering the size of the phone). I wouldn't have switched if the camera had at least x10 zoom, but I don't regret switching, android has its pros too and samsung has never disappointed me before and nor does it now.
I switched from Android to 13 Mini after 18 years about a year ago, it just got better and better, really love the phone. However I still think Android has more app selection than IOS when comes to free apps.
Really annoyed me how they kept making the standard iPhone screen bigger like maybe made sense if they kept the mini but now the base is *6.1”!* Like the max exist for a reason… All they had to do was keep the 5.8 and square off the sides like they started with the 12 and shrink the bezels like we got with the 15’s would’ve been the perfect phone. It’s a crime they never even gave it a pro iteration
The 13 mini is awesome. Small compact & powerful little machine. I like the size because I usually have it in my pocket when I play basketball or any other type of exercise as I like to listen to music while I do. You don’t even realize it’s there and that’s one of the best features about this phone. I was thinking about upgrading to the 15 pro as I am a sucker for that clean titanium look, but hearing about the overheating issues, I may just keep this for awhile longer as it’s working great. My only complaint is the battery health is now at 87% capacity with about 2 years of use. Not sure Apple will ever figure that one out. I highly recommend the 13 mini and not sure Apple will ever bring back the mini series so grab one if you can!
apple never should’ve canceled the mini iphone. they could easily keep this form factor and make it the se4. to a lot of population there with small hands simply CANNOT handle a “regular” size phone.
This may be the last of its kind so I would grab one if you can. Looks like 6.1in screens and larger are the norm now for Apple, especially with the introduction of the 14 Plus model as an option to the standard iPhone lineup.
Yesterday I bought the iPhone 13 mini (alpine green) again... man, how I missed this little powerhouse! In addition to the iPhone 13 mini, I also use the iPhone 15 which is also a nice device... but the 13 mini is so nice for daily use. Camera, battery and size are perfect. 🤩👌 I will never get rid of the 13 mini. And hopefully 🤞 a new one in the future! ❤️
In the words of Steve Jobs, you’re using it wrong. This phone is perfect but Apple refused to put any effort into user experience. That went out the window when Steve Jobs died. You need to use this with Display Zoom turned on and with the “Customize Text” size to be quite minimal on each app and the Home Screen. I think I have mine set to either the second or third lowest option. Once you have this, it is literally like an iPhone 5 feel. The app, button, and keyboard sizes are divine and everything just works.
. I switched from SE2 to Pixel 6a in Nov 2022. It was just too big. Bought my 13 mini 3 months later, about 9 months ago. It’s the Goldilocks phone size: everything is just right.
Its not the price, its the name. If the Mini was called the normal “iPhone 13” and the normal iPhone “iPhone 13 Plus” next to the “iPhone 13 Max” People would buy the Mini. But because its called “Mini” people think its not the best phone. I like this size very much tbh. And I hate the 6.1 phones. Apple should stick with the 5.9” instead like the 11 Pro. 5.4” is a size what Steve Jobs would love.
Had the 13 mini since it came out, it replaced my 11 Pro. Love the form factor and everything else about it EXCEPT the camera was a big disappointment. Granted I came from a great camera on a 11 Pro. I was expecting the same overall performance (except for the Pro’s telephoto lens) but it seems to have problems focusing up close or on macro shots,
It's an awesome phone as I am not hooked to social media etc and helps me focus on work better with this phone . Keep coming back to it from my S23 Ultra . My workouts are also less cumbersome with this baby 😅.
I want to buy one soon. One of the last little phone on the market. I hate how nowadays all phones are like mini tablets. I can't sit down if one of those huge bricks are in my pocket. The mini can be the best go out phone. Sometimes I don't want a whole entertainment system in my pocket, just a normal phone.
People go on about how small the 13 mini is and while true, it is small in comparison, screens have just gone huge the past few years. It was only in 2017 Apple released the iPhone 8 PLUS which screen is only 0.1inch larger. You have to account for the notch too of course but even then, you get used to this phone fast I love the design, the fact they got an iPhone 13 into this form factor and while I do watch some stuff on it, most of what I watch is on my TV including RUclips. I’m sad that Apple is discontinuing it and can’t see myself going to SE, i like faceID and the better cameras etc.
I went from S21 a year ago to this like a month ago because I need more smaller phones. Gonna miss a telephoto lens tho, not having 120hz isn't a big deal to me
when you said "if you're gonna go with a heavy use, just go for the bigger iPhone, there's no reason of going for the mini" i was like BRUH. I got the 13 mini last february and have been using it quite heavily every day, with about 4 hours of instagram and 2 hours of youtube everyday, alongside with about 4 hours of whatsapp and 2 hours of maps with gps... and it's been doing great! Yes, I do have to charge it during the day, sometimes even twice during the day, but coming from a 2020 SE, the battery life is so much better. I used to charge that phone over 10 times a day without even using instagram at all. And before that, I had a 5s (till mid 2020), and i was rocking videos and games on that phone
im very disappointed that phone companies choose the easy and go bigger into their phones. a compact phone is a true competition for them. shame that this market goes away.
4:56 - 5:23 Fffffff^ckin facts! The Asus is cool and all but give me the iPhone mini. I’ve owned at least 15 different phones in my life so far and the 13 mini is the best I’ve ever owned. I love the size, easy and fun to use, and it’s pretty powerful. So unless Apple brings the minis back, I plan to stick with it for quite a while. If not, I maaay have to switch to a Asus Zenphone or another compact phone
Its the only phone yhat bkught me back to ios. And its amazing. I will run it so long as it fuctions. If i lose or break it. Ill buy another. I hope apple makes a new mini every 4 years. Ill be fine with that.
Had mine since July 2022. Battery health at 82% and I’ll be changing batteries in 2 months. Unless Apple makes an SE 4 with this chassis and screen and the A17 at least, I won’t be changing my 13 mini anytime soon.
The 13 mini is the ideal smart phone for the Blind. We don't need large displays and when you turn on screen curtain the battery life is better. as a blind person I hate large displays and sincerely hope Apple will continue the mini series.
No one ever makes videos of its performance in pure sunlight. As someone that uses their phone outside a lot, its aggravating. I dont know which to choose, 15 or 13 mini.
i love this phone but i have to let it go for the battery. i'm travelling more now for work and some days i need to charge it 3 times. it really break my heart because this size is just so great, i'm in love with it. 😔
i absolutely love the size, as a girl our pockets always seem smaller so this one just fits anywhere😂 plus i have small hands so it's easy to hold with just one hand. i hope someday they'll bring this back but the camera will be the pro version

but ive been wondering if in how many percent is its battery life after 2 years?
Glad you got it bro. Been using this for over 1.5 years. Such a great little machine. Enjoy your time with it. Its sleek and just a very genuinely great hand feel.
In my 13 mini the battery is 100% after a year and a half, charges every day with 5W charger.
@@miuletzmitzu6641 How can we improve the battery?
If they put it in 120Hz mode, the battery consumption would be very high
They made a wise decision
I've had the 13 mini for some time. It has been superb both as a phone plus as a camera for stills and video. I create shots for client work and for presentations using this device and have been very pleased. The small size has allowed some great images that two handed fumbling with a larger device would have been lost.
I love your content. Especially the tone of your voice and the way you articulate your opinion. Great review. another satisfied 13 mini owner here.
Glad you love the content! Thank you for sharing your feedback! 13 mini has been great 👍
@@nickackermanchannelHello, brother, I like your mobile wallpaper very much. Can you share it with me?😂
I have this phone since May 2022 and I absolutely love it. Battery is not problem for me
Turn off 5g and watch that battery flourish. I'm a medium - heavish user and I get 1.25 days per charge.
How much SOT ? 😁
Switched to the samsung s23 and I charge every 2-3 days (I get 40-60% left the next day, compared to the iphone 13 mini that got me to around 15-20% at the end of the first day)
@@miroslavgolubic6335 depends but if you arent a heavy user 6-7 hours

Finally someone said it, asus isnt a compact phone at all
I believe when people use a mini once, they won‘t go back to „normal“ phone EVER.
Grinding on 12 mini. Best phone i ever had
3 years back I upgraded from iPhone6 to iPhone12 mini then iPhone13Pro then to iPhone14Pro and now... Back finally settling with iPhone13 mini
Battery is good, the problem people have is that they spent 16 hours a day on the phone on social media and expect it to be at 50% at 11pm. 😂.
Got two of these phones. My favorite iPhone to date.
May I ask about your battery life percentage ?
I think the assumption that people who want a small phone aren't consuming content. The mini is effortless in every way including consuming content.
Hey Nick great video as always. How are you so sure they’re gonna keep the mini with new 15 line up?
Great review. I hope Apple revives this form factor next year for the SE.
I use 12 mini, except the battery everything still go strong and user friendly with 1-hand control, what a shame they discontinue mini😢
$730 unlocked for this tiny phone was absurd.
Definitely would have sold a bit more if at the very least $50 less and sold a lot more if $100 less.
I love my 13PM but if the mini gets a comeback then I would be the first in the line.
The best iPhone ever made
Love love the 13 mini. It is perfect and if you need to charge it’s like 1/2 hr to get you back up to a reasonable day finishing level
I've used the iphone 13 mini for 2 years, i'll give you an honest personal review after I switched:
The size is amazing if you have 4h screen on time daily on average.
If the SE wasn’t a thing, the mini would have sold a lot better
Agreed they need to get rid of SE or replace it with mini
I switched from Android to 13 Mini after 18 years about a year ago, it just got better and better, really love the phone. However I still think Android has more app selection than IOS when comes to free apps.
simply the BEST iPhone ever made!!!!
Nah bro battery stops it from being that, 13 pro max tho that is the best phone apple made
@@staypositive5718 we're talking about minis phones
Really annoyed me how they kept making the standard iPhone screen bigger like maybe made sense if they kept the mini but now the base is *6.1”!* Like the max exist for a reason… All they had to do was keep the 5.8 and square off the sides like they started with the 12 and shrink the bezels like we got with the 15’s would’ve been the perfect phone. It’s a crime they never even gave it a pro iteration
Love my 13 mini, hope next IPhone se will be same size 💕💕
87% after 2 years is completely normal, an iPhone 11 has a better battery than a 13 mini but lasts less than
My first iPhone! Love it
still have this phone since its release. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING IT TIL NOW.
i have 13 mini..6 hours screentime its marvelous jo..
I LOVE my 13 mini!!
apple never should’ve canceled the mini iphone. they could easily keep this form factor and make it the se4. to a lot of population there with small hands simply CANNOT handle a “regular” size phone.
It’s the Goldilocks phone size: everything is just right.
apple can rerelease mini series anytime they want....what has been discontinued could be a strategic move from a company side.
I'm planning to upgrade from 11pro to 13mini, is it worth it?
it's georgeous, I love mini iphones specially 13line up
Yes if you okay with the size reduction!
Yes, if you don’t care about pro features such as 120 Hz refresh rate, and a telephoto camera
You can get iPhone 12 mini more cheaper
@@NourMoghrabi that’s true, what iPhone do you have
@@123theprodigy5 I have iPhones 13 pro max and Apple Watch SE 1 generations and beat studio buds 1 generations
I love the mini series. Apple MUST use that shape (and cameras?) for the next SE series. It's the only scenario that makes sense on that matter.
5.4” is a size what Steve Jobs would love.
should i buy now ?
This phone is GOATED
Had the 13 mini since it came out, it replaced my 11 Pro. Love the form factor and everything else about it EXCEPT the camera was a big disappointment. Granted I came from a great camera on a 11 Pro. I was expecting the same overall performance (except for the Pro’s telephoto lens) but it seems to have problems focusing up close or on macro shots,
It's an awesome phone as I am not hooked to social media etc and helps me focus on work better with this phone . Keep coming back to it from my S23 Ultra . My workouts are also less cumbersome with this baby 😅.
Managed to get one here, but it's pink. Not quite my color so I just covered it with a green silicone case.
I have used my Mini for underwater filming multiple times with no problem. So dont fear about dropping these in water :)
Just got one a week ago and love it
I want to buy one soon. One of the last little phone on the market. I hate how nowadays all phones are like mini tablets. I can't sit down if one of those huge bricks are in my pocket. The mini can be the best go out phone. Sometimes I don't want a whole entertainment system in my pocket, just a normal phone.
Lol so true. Smaller phones feel cooler and old school too in a way... Like pagers
😂😂😂
Still using it, love it. Too bad that there is no new mini.
This is awesome feedback, great to hear! Yup I agree, many love the mini!
People go on about how small the 13 mini is and while true, it is small in comparison, screens have just gone huge the past few years. It was only in 2017 Apple released the iPhone 8 PLUS which screen is only 0.1inch larger. You have to account for the notch too of course but even then, you get used to this phone fast
I love the design, the fact they got an iPhone 13 into this form factor and while I do watch some stuff on it, most of what I watch is on my TV including RUclips. I’m sad that Apple is discontinuing it and can’t see myself going to SE, i like faceID and the better cameras etc.
I went from S21 a year ago to this like a month ago because I need more smaller phones. Gonna miss a telephoto lens tho, not having 120hz isn't a big deal to me
Love the mini lineup 12 &13 I really hope they bring it back
I have this phone and the same color as yours. apart from my nokia 3510i, this iphone is my fav phone I had
when you said "if you're gonna go with a heavy use, just go for the bigger iPhone, there's no reason of going for the mini" i was like BRUH.
The mini series would have been crazy with the dynamic island notch.
im very disappointed that phone companies choose the easy and go bigger into their phones. a compact phone is a true competition for them. shame that this market goes away.

Fffffff^ckin facts! If not, I maaay have to switch to a Asus Zenphone or another compact phone
that product red looks banging
The size of it won’t really make people not use the phone.
I used to watch RUclips/ and watch full length movies on my 5S.
Its the only phone yhat bkught me back to ios. And its amazing. I will run it so long as it fuctions. If i lose or break it. Ill buy another. I hope apple makes a new mini every 4 years. Ill be fine with that.
I still got mine and I love it
Keeping my 13 mini after 2 years
Had mine since July 2022.

Will Apple stop selling the 13 mini on Sept. 12?
Hope they continue to make it... with that $100 price cut.
The mini is a niche device. The sales numbers for miniature phones don't lie. They are a dying breed in every brand.
