    I completely agree with you, I remember 2 years ago when the 13 series came out I went to an Apple store and took me more than half an hour to understand what I really wanted. I was planning to buy the regular 13 but I started to interact with the mini and I found it really nice, very compact and most importantly very lightweight. I went with the red 13 mini with 512 gb and it was the very last unit in the store so lucky me!

    I got mine 5 months ago. I got the 512 GB, cause I plan to use it for as long as I can. I got the Green one, because Midnight wasn't available, and I'm so glad I did! It's a very unique colour, that really grew on me.
    I can feel the limitation tho. This phone has helped me get a lot of screen time off. But we live in a practical world, and sometimes, we just need our phones for a long time some days. You cannot realistically own this device without a wireless/magsafe charger. Unless you have a secondary device with you. The battery also tends to heat up at times, so need to be mindful of that (especially people from Tropical countries)
    I really wish Apple brings this back, with similar Specs, not just as a rebooted SE. The small package, big explosion factor is what sets Mini series apart.
    I also loved your Leather case patina videos. This one has aged so gracefully.

    The 13 mini has a special place in my heart. I bought a 15 pro and although the camera and 120hz is great, the 13 mini is just overall such an amazing phone. I decided to go back to my 13 Mini midnight in 512GB. I gave the 15 pro to my wife. Will be keeping this phone until the wheels fall off & with having Apple care on it I’ll have a peace of mind knowing this phone is supported for many years to come.

    Honestly the mini devices are the main reason I’m even in the Apple ecosystem. I have both an iPhone 13 Mini and iPad Mini 6. They complement each other wonderfully and are both a joy to interact with. Thankfully the iPad Mini seems to have a solid niche and market share, so I doubt it’s going anywhere. As for the iPhone Mini, I just hope apple decides to revisit the form factor before the 13 series is outdated and my phone is nonfunctional as a primary device.

    I loved and still love the iPhone 13 Mini. When I bought the iPhone 14 Pro last year despite its feats in 8 out of 10 cases I still reached for the Mini. After the 8 months I handed a barely used 14 Pro to my younger daughter. Today I received the 15 Pro…let’s see how long it lasts against the Mini. Even if I keep the 15 Pro, I will also keep the Mini. It‘s the best iPhone ever made and I agree that it never got a fair chance. I would go so far and claim that it would have sold much better if Apple had added it to the pro line as a 13 Pro Mini. Most of the Mini fans are actually the tech savvy and people that see the real value of a super powerful device in this small form factor. Instead Apple marketed it as the small brother of the normal iPhone that appeals more to the bigger screen for not so much more money crowd. Maybe the Mini also came too early. Just imagine a 16 Mini Pro in natural titanium with a second gen 3 NM chip that is more battery efficient than the current A17 Pro. Instant buy, I’d happily pay that at a Pro price. Tim, please ….

    • @QasimZafar

      @TheA2dak - I agree with you, I passed on the 14 pro to my wife and now I’ve been testing out the 15 pro/ max. They’re great phones and getting more capable year over year but for the average user it’s overkill because they’ll never use it to its full capabilities.

      I don't think there's a Pro Mini because of the battery that would be too small for the processor and GPU required for this kind of device. But I think a new Mini with smaller transistors would be much better and a great choice!

    iPhone 12 mini user with 78% battery capacity. Trade-in value is $200 and new battery costs $89. iPhone trade in isn’t impacted by battery health so it’s a really tough decision in terms of replacement, no replacement, and trade in. Im hoping the SE4 is a great candidate and I’m going to just keep riding the current battery until the spring apple event. 🤞 if they don’t announce an SE4 then or any credible leaks of September release I may have to spring for the battery repair

    I have been using 12 Mini since its release. It was the only reason why I switched to iOS. And it's one of the greatest phones I have ever had. Since the battery on my iPhone is getting a little old, replacing it costs more than the second hand value of the phone and I use it quite a lot, Android it is. I don't have any reason to buy another iPhone until they bring back the Mini. Or, if Sony revives the Xperia Compact (and I really mean compact, not like XZ2 compact, which was too heavy and outdated upon release), I'm buying that phone. I had a great experience with my Xperia Z5 Compact. I was thinking about buying iPhone 13 mini now, but I'm not paying 800 USD+ for 2 generations old phone. It's not THAT good.

    1:10 good point. I did the same. My Iphone SE (2016 year model) is my main phone the last 5 years. This year I just replaced the battery and I continue to use it. Despite the fact it can use only IOS 15, it still gets security updates (So the model is actually been supported 7 years). With new battery it may last more years. The only reason pushing me to upgrade it to the last models is its benefit - compact size, and the screen 4 inches - with modern info sources it gets less convenient to be used.

I drop it way less than any other phone I've had, I go through screen protectors way less, and like being able to fit it easily into any pocket and fully use it one handed is so luxurious. Bro, its very sad iphone mini are discontinued.
    That is what i dont like about apple, there are many consumers of iphone mini, wonder whats the point in stopping it, they could have released iphone 15 mini this year.
    Apple is only concerned about profit making business only and never think about interested consumers.

      In 3 days my iPhone 13mini will arrive and the reason I decided on it is the small size, you don't find such phones anymore. Quality, vision and speed have no equal. It reminds me a lot of my first iPhone 5s, I've been on Android ever since. It is a perfect choice for a person who does not click on his phone much, but uses it as a headset and alarm clock with its small size.

  • @2.i
    @2.i 7 месяцев назад +1

    I hope that a device of this size does not come as an SE version, because that means that it will have fewer specifications and features. In my opinion, I hope that this will happen and that it will return with its big brothers in the iPhone 16 or the next. The important thing is that I hope that it will return with its brothers as a basic device and not for people with low income.

    I’ve always enjoyed your channel and have a few of your products. My iPhone 13 512gb mini is also at 92% battery after two years, it lasts me all day unless I’m heavy using which is rare. I keep an attachable external battery charged in my car that I can pop on when I’m visiting clients. With the Pitaka Aramid Fiber Case it’s super small. It’s the perfect phone. When I need to replace the battery, $69.00. No sweat. Better camera than I need, OLED screen, and with 512gb I have tons of storage. Messaging and phone calls is what I use it for mostly. I couldn’t care less about 60hz vs 120hz refresh. I’m not playing games, rarely watching a video. The battery has lasted me the full day before, and even when it doesn't, I always have a portable charger with me, I've had that habit for years. I have small hands, and within 2 hours of using this phone as opposed to my previous Pixel 6 (after downloading the apps I use), the next time I grabbed my Pixel it felt huge in my hand, this is literally the perfect size for me. Always funny seeing the other side of the coin, I went 8+, 11 pro max, 13 pro max to 15+. I couldn't imagine even using a regular sized iphone at this point, the bigger screen is mandatory for me.

    What's wrong with getting them used?😂😂😂 I had a brand new 12 mini, 2 in fact. One in Sept 2021 and one in Oct 2021. I sent them both back because the signal kept dropping calls and I never could get more than 2 bars. I bought a refurbished 12 mini last week for under £200 and it works perfect. I get 4 bars of signal strength and have a new battery installed. Next year I'll probably get a refurbished 13 mini when I can find one for the same price because under £200 is cheap and I like the minis. It's not that serious, just because Apple aren't still selling them doesn't mean it's goodbye just means you'll be able to get it cheaper. I still have a working4s, 2016 SE and a note 9. All have new batteries in them.

    I think the biggest drawback to this phone and why it didn’t sell well is the battery. Most people just went to the 6.1 inch phone. I hear they may have some type of new battery tech for the 16. Maybe that tech will bring this form factor back as the new SE.

    I have had my 13 mini for about 2 years I got and 14pro max about 7 months ago and it just sits in the house I barely use it outside. I’ve switched esim over to it a couple times and within 2 or 3 days I’m switching back to the 13mini. My back glass is cracked battery health at 84% on the mini I’m screwed! I don’t want to use that 14pro max all day. Phone is just too damn big, even with a minimal case. Kinda regret even buying it but I’m not selling it 😂

    • @QasimZafar
      @QasimZafar  7 месяцев назад +1

      @Elite540z - Yeah I keep going back to the mini for that reason alone. It’s too comfortable of a device, my battery health is down to 90% so I’m hoping eventually we get a new iteration because I’d like to continue using the phone. My back glass also cracked literally the one time I didn’t have a case on :/. Right now I just keep a case on and haven’t bothered replacing the glass or battery as I’m waiting to see what Apple does otherwise I’ll get it repaired and continue using it.

      @@QasimZafar can’t see how people don’t want smaller phones! Crazy these females with small baby hands are used 6.7 inch max phones. They must love using 2 hands all day for every basic thing on their phones
      😂! I have kinda manly sized hands and those big phones still end up hurting my thumb from stretching across the phones to reach the top to pull down or just typing with one hand etc. mini solves those problems. We’re not getting another mini anytime soon or ever. Guess if you buy the smallest iPhone you’re broke in today’s world and can’t afford the biggest phone right? Things are too heavy take harder falls etc. those people really missed out if they never had a mini series!! Still love mini daily for 2 years next month and will continue even with the degrading battery. I have an extended battery case and still don’t even use that. Just like a small compact feel of the mini and a thin case!!

    After testing the 15 Pro/ 15 Pro Max, I returned both and I am going back to my 13 Mini. The overheating issues on both the 15’s with questionable durability concerns as well. I can’t justify forking over $1000 for a subpar flagship experience. Switching back to my Mini after a week on the larger phones just feels right at home. I don’t know, maybe I’m an outlier.

    • @QasimZafar
      @QasimZafar  11 месяцев назад +3

      @daa5014 - I totally feel you, the pros are nice phones for sure but the best is still the mini. It’s all the phone one truly needs and Apple seriously needs to bring a new iteration of it in the future.

      I’ve always liked small phones. All the phones I’ve had up until now have all been small. My first 2 iPhones were iPhone 5’s, then I had 2 original SE’s. The 2nd one SE was refurbished, and had the longest battery life of any iPhone I’ve had. But, after 2 years it would only last 6 hours. I was thinking about buying a 13 Mini for a while, but thought I would wait until there were no more updates for it. Then I lost my SE, and needed a new phone in a hurry, so I bought a refurbished 13 Mini in Red!!! 😊 I love this phone. ❤️ I don’t use the phone as much as most people who are looking at their phones 24/7, so the 13 Mini is perfect for me. But, I will probably use the phone more when I’m on tour, so along with a MagSafe charger and stand, I just bought a MagSafe battery that attaches to the phone. Now I’m ready for anything. 😊

    • @QasimZafar

      @DICARLOPRODUCTIONS Likewise I’ve also loved smaller phones. The iPhone 5/5S were by far my favorite. The mini is perfect but sadly even the SE is rumored to get larger. Just holding on at this point let’s see what the future holds.

    • @DICARLOPRODUCTIONS
      @DICARLOPRODUCTIONS 3 месяца назад +1

      I completely forgot about the 5S. I think I had 2 of those as well. Anyway, they were all small phones. Rumor has it the new SE will be the size of a 14. That’s a LARGE PHONE!!! Well, I kept my original SE’s all of this time. If I hadn’t of lost it, I’d still have it now, would have replaced the battery, and not changed to the 13 Mini until the updates stopped coming. So, I plan to do the same with the 13 Mini. 👍🤔

    Because of the size and the Oled display I'm good with my iPhone XS for now but the fact that the iPhone X will not receive new iOS updates makes me think that my XS will also face the same. So I will probably switch to a mini 12 or 13 when it will happen. I also hope that the next SE will bring the mini back.
