Seriously. I have the 13, and i feel like i really lucked out with this generation, plus i had switched from Android to the 13 so i felt like i had hit a jackpot. Very good battery, great speed, good software (though buggy iOS16 and way more limiting than Android), awesome design/green color that still catches my eye, and a great display! I wish it was 120Hz, but having never owned a phone with that refresh rate, it doesn’t jump to the eye (it simply feels like im getting ripped off). Biggest issue is definitely camera (even though it is good), which is overprocessed, and cannot take photos up close as much as my 6 year old S8 could. (Guess they wanna sell that macro mode on the pros eh)

It's true. Having a compact phone means you're just going to use it for its sole purpose and not waste your time with mindless scrolling. I'm using iPhone SE 2022 for a year now and I've gotta say I've developed having boundaries between social media and real life.
Agreed, I'm using a SE 2021 after just selling my 14 Pro Max. Yes, you immediately notice the difference in performance and bells/whistles, but after 1 day, I didn't miss the 14 at all. I can actually go jogging and walking in gym clothes again with the SE's smaller form factor. I use the device for WhatsApp calls/texts and occasional internet use. Works perfectly.
I use a 13 Mini when out and about. At home I use my iPad Pro. My AppleWatch Ultra and 13 Mini are the perfect combo when I’m away from my home or office.
I made a similar move. Upgraded from 11 pro to 13 pro max. Loved the screen and battery life, but the weight of the phone was ridiculous. I like light shorts, like runners shorts, the phone’s weight would be pulling my pants down while I walk. Legit had to start tying my shorts up. After about 4 months sold it and switched to 13 mini. Love it, as you said, I often forget it’s in my pocket. Battery is perfectly fine. One hand usability. Barely noticed reverting from pro motion back to 60hz. Still rocking it as my daily. I’d love a new mini…
I have the 13 Pro Max which is a fantastic iPhone - I also have the purple 12 mini with 100% battery capacity. I got it as a keeper as I think it’s the prettiest iPhone Apple has ever made. I don’t use it everyday so usually only needs a charge once a week. I love the Mini iPhones & iPads.😊
Been using the 13 mini for over a year now. It's been great so far, battery life is not the best (capacity at 89% atm) but I'm willing to sacrifice that for a truly compact (and good looking) phone.
I’m in the middle of this transition myself. Got the 13 mini on launch, and now I’m back and forth between the 14PM and the mini. Right now I’m using the mini and frankly I’m leaning heavily on staying on it as my daily. And it does absolutely help with stopping the mindless scrolling, which I didn’t do at all before the 14PM. That big size just draws our attention all the time. The mini just gets out of the way and functions as the tool it’s supposed to be. I do honestly believe the 13 mini is the best iPhone ever made.
its called FOMO. the more they talk about it the more people who do not need it decide they want it. usually beta males that have no direction in life and feel things like phones are that important. kind of like you.
I upgraded from a 12 Mini to the standard size 14 Pro and the weight difference was huge, not to mention I lost the easy one hand usability. I’ve thought about getting a 13 Mini and switching between the two phones whenever I want but Apple has made that difficult with the E sim. So I guess I’m just going to hold on and hope they revisit the smaller phone factor sometime in the future. Like some others have mentioned I would love to see a iPhone Mini Pro with maybe a 5.7-5.8 inch screen
Glad to see you finally made it into the light... Yeah I've got a mini and it's a good phone that masquerades as a media device and not the other way around I'll be keeping mine until it no longer is supported.
Had an iPhone 13 mini and it was great, really brought me back to the days of my iPhone 4. But since 2010, apps are much larger, photos are higher resolution, streaming content is much more common, and webpages are ad jungles. The battery life is just not nearly good enough long-term. But man, the first 2 months of having the mini were awesome. A SLIGHTLY thicker 15 mini with a larger battery would be an instant buy.
The ads on sites are a significant point I should have mentioned in this video. I love this phone but the leading reason I jump to an iPad or Mac is for webpages that feel cluttered on the small screen. Great point!
It all depends on what one uses a device for, I use my iPhone 13 mini to make & receive calls, I use apps such as messenger & imessages, maps, translation, currency converter, photo effects, weather & compass, that’s it, when I go to the local shop I don’t always take my phone with me, often I remove the sim & leave the phone in a drawer for days on end. When I want to google, facebook or youtube I use my iPad mini 6 still keeping the messenger, imessages, line & zoom options available, it is precisely because these two products are MINI versions that’s so important to me, compact, lightweight but fully functioning powerful modern pieces of technology that fit in my pocket. A pro version of the mini iphone would have to have an improved display, much bigger capacity battery performance & camera enhancements which would make it unjustifiably expensive, so no not for me.
I hope it does come back. I've had my iPhone 12 mini for 3yrs and don't want to upgrade to the iPhone 15 model because it won't have a mini series. I have to decide soon since my 12 mini has started to have issues with the battery. However, after watching your video, I am now, more than ever, leaning toward upgrading it to an iPhone 13 mini just because I like its size and don't really see a significant difference in the new iPhone 15 coming out from the 14.
I’ve had the 13 mini since it first came out, and I absolutely love it! In fact, I don’t want a newer phone or a bigger phone for sure. Like you mentioned, I switched to the iPad or Apple TV when required/beneficial.
Have an iPhone 14pro max and decided to try a 13mini because among other reasons i was tired of carrying a 2 ton brick in my pocket daily. That was in July (2023) now is September and haven’t looked back at all. My mini together with an watch ultra and an ipad mini (5) tucked away in my backpack seems to be all i need for my daily commutes…meanwhile the 14pro max is home as a backup phone just in case. No more bricks in my pocket, no more playing the phone juggling game. Keeping this 13mini for as long as i can.
I love the 13 mini and hope apple brings it back some day. Side note ,relying on the mag safe battery pack isn't good for long term battery health. it causes a lot of heat which builds up more so on the smaller body of the mini. Heat is the enemy of lithium batteries.
i would love to get an Iphone pro mini, I switched from pro max to 13 mini when i heard its getting discontinued and the only thing missing is the zoom camera, so it would be great if apple offered a Pro phone in mini size.
Hopefully apple hears all of us and makes another mini. Honestly I wouldn’t even mind it a bit smaller and closer to the physical size of the 5 design. I mean the screen could still be around 4.5-5 inch’s with the modern edge to edge design. But either way I hope there’s another mini
I still think they should have kept the 13 mini and got rid of the regular 13 because the 13 and 14 are basically the same. I really don't get why they got rid of the 13 mini this year. they could have kept it for another year imo.
They should alternate make the mini 16, 17 plus , 18 mini, 19 plus etc. every two years would be a good enough upgrade and both groups of people would be happy.
I fully agree, I have 13 mini and I absolute love everything about it. I hate the fact that they quit making the best phone they had and just hope they’ll bring back this mini sized powerhouse in the nearby future. Otherwise I’ll just get a new 13 mini in a year or so. 😂
For me the 13 mini is easily my best iPhone ever. I use it for video work and photos even for presentations. A superb little device that works well one handed and carries so easily. Apple needs to continue this size for real world use. It's there when you need it and works.
I currently own a 14 Plus and a 13 Mini,,, my 13 Mini is my favorite and my 14 Plus is just being used as an at home camera. Shame on Apple for dropping the Mini series. I’d be willing to bet the 13 Mini sold better than the 14 Plus currently is. If Apple claims were true that they were not selling as many Mini’s as they anticipated then all Apple had to do was manufacture less Mini’s instead of just totally dropping it. I see tons of love for the Mini here on RUclips and comparatively far less love for the 14 Plus. I think the majority of RUclips personalities that are praising the 14 Plus are the shills that are getting paid by Apple to promote the 14 Plus. There is not much love for the 14 Plus from just the average RUclips users that aren’t getting paid by Apple.
apple know this phone will delight a lot of people that's why they discontinue it. If not the sales for the higher end model will plumet. also it'll decrease our consumption on our phone by a lot. instead of just having screen time on the phone. It truly works on a portable phone and not with the bigger phones.
I find the opposite about usage. I use it all the time BECAUSE of how small and wonderful is. Anxiously waiting for them to revamp the SE as a mini. I also find that because its form factor is so good that it feels more of an extension of me than the bigger sized ones because they take so much more effort to use. The mini takes zero effort physically or mentally to use and that is what Steve Jobs would have wanted - not the direction they've gone, imo.
Bought it in October 2021,it's a fantastic phone....product red, 512gb to have my entire offline music library on the phone...I would still buy it again. Sometimes you don't need Pro products, I agree completely with you...
I can’t stand big phones in my pocket. I bounce between my 1st gen SE and my 12 Mini. Compared to my SE the Mini even feels a little too big sometimes but I’m slowly getting used to it. Still can’t put away the old SE though.
The mini needs Dynamic Island. OR! Imagine Apple doing an iPhone Classic, same size as the mini, silver back, black bar on the bottom and the curve/rounded edge like the original. And add Dynamic Island. Boom!
Most practical phone. I’ve gone from a 14 pro max to a 13 mini as well. If I want to use a tablet, I use my tablet. When I’m on the go my phone doesn’t weigh me down.
I LOVE my iphone 13 mini. I detest large phones, and this remains a powerhouse capable of performing all the daily tasks I throw at it. I'm keeping mine until Apple (hopefully) reverses course and returns to making the mini - or my current phone is no longer supported. Great review!
I still use my iPhone 13 mini for about one and a half years still love it and still going strong battery 🔋 health at 91% , keep wanting to swap to an iPhone 15 pro/pro max just can’t bring myself in letting go of my iPhone 13 mini. If Apple do bring on another mini then I’d seriously consider getting that.
I switched from a 12 Pro Max to a 12 mini and enjoyed it so much that I kept it for two years then moved to the 13 mini. Hopefully it lasts long enough for Apple to decide to release an Iphone SE that's a mini.I'm never getting a huge phone again.
I agree. The iPhone 13 mini is too good. Everybody who picks up mine marvels how good it feels in the hand. And then they want to now about screen real estate so I show them the same page on their phone and often my mini shows more info!
As a mini user myself, I hate handling the 14 Pro Max of my girlfriend. Such a hassle. Apple needs to reintroduce another mini. Make it a Pro mini and it will sell like hot cake.
as someone who's been used to the size of the 13 mini for about 2 years, wow that pro max is a behemoth as for a new generation mini, yes please. my main want is usb c and a smaller notch.
I personally think Apple made a huge mistake getting rid of the mini series iPhones. The size was perfect and the 13 mini is proof you don't need all the top of the line specs to get an amazing compact phone. I believe Apple should've given the mini series a few more years to keep improving and they would have seen a huge spike in sales for them. Because so many people in the tech community have "downsized" to the 13 mini because you aren't missing much and it works flawlessly. Plus you save a ton of money so what's not to like? It may be a long shot but I'm hoping Apple brings back the mini lineup.
I think becuase 13 mini proves that you do not need all the top of the line specs as you have said, is the exact reason why Apple stopped mini series. Apple want's you to buy all the top of the line specs so it can earn more money. Personally I am waiting what iphone 15/15 pro will be like before making decision of purchasing 13 mini. If iphone's 15/15 pro weight has been significantly decreased then I do not mind carying slightly larger brick in my pocket.
I really want them to continue the mini line. I don't need it to be a mini pro. I am perfectly fine with it being an iPhone mini. I recently got an iPhone 13 mini. It's my new phone and I love it!
Bought a 12 mini, then 13 mini, ‘upgraded’ to 13 pro then sold as too big and heavy. Bought a new 13 mini, bought 14 and 15 pro but sold both after a few weeks. Too big and clumsy. I’d buy a new mini pro instantly even at 6.1 pro price if it was full featured the same.
i did exact the same! Have them both...I intend to use promax on autumn and winter when I have lots of space in pockets, and mini in the summer on the beach or short pants. So I have my winter phone now and summer phone
I Love my 13 mini. I upgrade my iPhone every year except last year, when Apple discontinued the mini. I am not planning on upgrading to iPhone 15. I would rather continue using the 13 mini than buy shinny new iphone
I have a small hand & palm, fit to the Ip13 mini so I got it. Since that people have been impressed and keep asking me about the cute Iphone because it has very few users right now. Even if I got Ip 15, people would not approach and ask me a thing about it.
I went from a 13 pro to a mini. The mini is perfect. I just wish it had the pro camera. The mini camera is good but I do notice a difference between it and the pro. But the mini is so small and light!! It is the perfect size.
The 13 Mini has the same sensor and camera as the 12 Pro Max. Unless you're trine say the 12 Pro Max camera is irrelevant now. Which doesn't make any sense lmao.
I just bought one but had to get the 512gb one since that’s the only one I could find new, I paid a whooping 1000 dollars for it. I could have got a 15 pro lol . But I wanted the mini and do not regret a thing
I'm rocking my red iPhone 13 mini for almost a year and a half now, most beautiful gadget I own so far, not gonna shift to any other bigger size iPhone for maybe another 4-5 years, I will wait, My Dad uses XR and its still fast and reliable, So unless I get 16 mini pro or 18 or 19 or next SE with same body, I'm not gonna change
had my mini 13 for a year still at 100% battery (have been using an esr magsafe charger with a built in fan). I love this phone and won't upgrade until apple releases an other mini. If they don't i'll switch back to android. I would get a flip iphone if ever thats a thing.
I’m so intrigued by the mini. I have 14 pro max bc I convinced myself I need the best screen, best battery life, loudest speakers but the mini is soooooooooooo tempting
I love my iPhone 13 mini and I will hold to it as long as there will be something that compact and powerful on the market again. I go cycling, I ran and I do trekking and having a small phone with me for emergency, taking pictures and orienting myself is a necessity. Two day battery life is not a priority to everyone. It’s a bummer that now Apple and any other company decided to kill really compact smartphone. If today my iPhone breaks the only choice there is on the market beside another iPhone 13 mini, is the current iPhone SE which is a joke considering todays camera standard, performances, and smartphone design (yes I think design is a priority considering I do too look at my phone at least 3 hours a day).
Keep using my 1st gen SE for almost 8 years now. Simply hate huge phones! :) Sadly, Apple now doesn't support my SE, so considering a move to the 13 mini.
Oh one other thing the iPhone mini is a perfect phone for selfies cuz I went to my brother's wedding and cuz it's so small it's easy to hold out take pictures group pictures anyway I don't have a problem with battery life but I don't play with my phone all day so it's a good one for me
I use to have Samsung Ultra lines since the S20ultra to S23 ultra recently , a big heavy feature pack phone, A few weeks ago I ordered the galaxy watch 6 LTE and the earbuds pro2, I got a plan to go compact and the flips 5 will be one to compliment the ecosystem, what happened later changed my mind all together, the order became frustrating, calling the Samsung call centre is a waste of time so does email, I cancelled the samsung order and get myself an iPhone 13 mini , an Apple watch ultra and the AirPods pro for my go lighter less media resolution , the iPad M1 pro that I already have will be use for media if I think of watching one, hope the changes I make will balance up my life 😮
I love the form factor of the mini. It’s just too comfortable in hand and the pocket! I personally don’t need for a power house with a super powerful GPU, for gaming my PS5 does the job 😎. It just lacks a super camera! Hope to see that in the next version.
The amazing thing about the mini is that you can get a magsafe battery or just any small power bank and get a full charge since the battery is so small
On my 3rd 13 blue, green 2x mini insurance keeps hooking it up 14 pro when it was currently sold it got another mini tthen 2nd one that broke got a 15 sold it. As long as I can keep finding new sealed in box I’ll keep using 13 mini 😅
13 mini is a well balanced beast of a phone I sometime thinking of wanting to experience how will it be like if have the 13 mini.. But still the pro max for me because of the larger screen & bigger battery & better camera.. but if I have to pick 1 small compact phone if it is android then the z flip 5 but for iOS obviously the 13 mini..
I am all for a mini pro phone ( alas, won't happen). Currently a user of 13 mini blue and I love it. and BTW, I have also 14 pro max for media consumption and other specific tasks. Best of both world I would say.
I've had my 13 mini for about 9 months now. Best phone I've ever had, not had any problems at all. Though I'm a little bit concerned about my phone having 95% battery capacity.
Last year, I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to the XS, while my kids went from X to 13 Pro. Because of the weight of their phone, I was seriously considering going from XS to 13 Mini, when my XS loses access to the latest iOS. Now I know this year’s Pro models are going to be lighter in weight, I may shelve my 13 Mini plans. We’ll see.
I even mess up my typing on a 10 inch ipad can't imagine doing it on a tiny phone. I guess once you're used to a full PC keyboard it's hard to use anything else, it feels less efficient and I don't like touching glass for too long.
Do you miss pro motion? I am in the process of deciding to upgrade from 11 to 15/15 pro, and the only thing I love from pro is promotion, no other reason for me to get the pro instead of regular model and wondering if it’s worth it.
The first few days of the switch from 120hz to the mini was painful because there is a noticeable difference but after a short time you get used to the lower refresh rate.
I’d totally 100% upgrade my 13 Mini to a next gen iPhone Mini immediately upon release. Yes. I vote yes:Apple. Bring back the iPhone Mini as soon as possible.
I have the 13 Mini in addition to my regular 13. I bought it new as a back-up phone and to use when I want a smaller phone. After a year of using the mini on and off, I do feel that it is a bit small for my everyday use. I still use it when I go to the gym, or if I'm playing golf, but for my everyday work phone it's just too small. What I'll probably do is send my 13 in for a battery replacement when it reaches 80% and use the 13 Mini as my daily phone until the 13 is returned from Apple.
It's great to use as a backup option. That's how I started using it in the beginning. Pro Max for everyday use, then mini when I wanted a digital detox. Slowly started to use the mini more and more.
I wish Apple brings back the 13 mini in the form of SE with upgraded camera. Or even with the 12 mini form factor is fine if that could reduce the price but with the same battery capacity of 13 mini.
The iPhone 13 mini is a good phone for sure, but the battery life totally sucks. I really miss the bigger screen and will get a bigger phone in the near future
I 100% expected poor battery life but was shocked when it actually lasted all day for me. I think in another year I'll need a MagSafe battery pack to get through the day but right now it's fantastic.
If only they made an 15 pro mini I would get it in a heartbeat !
Same here. A Pro camera would make it Apple's top phone in my opinion.

I fully agree, I have 13 mini and I absolute love everything about it. I hate the fact that they quit making the best phone they had and just hope they’ll bring back this mini sized powerhouse in the nearby future. Otherwise I’ll just get a new 13 mini in a year or so. 😂
Why do you need a new one?
Just replace the battery lmao
I could have written exactly the same! 🙂
A regular 13 would achieve the same but wouldn't have bad battery.
I LOVE my iphone 13 mini. I detest large phones, and this remains a powerhouse capable of performing all the daily tasks I throw at it. I'm keeping mine until Apple (hopefully) reverses course and returns to making the mini - or my current phone is no longer supported. Great review!
Regular 13 is the same size as a pixel 4a and people talked about that being the perfect size.
Make it a Pro mini and it will sell like hot cake.
as someone who's been used to the size of the 13 mini for about 2 years, wow that pro max is a behemoth
as for a new generation mini, yes please. my main want is usb c and a smaller notch.
I love my 13 mini. Sad that Apple discontinued the mini lineup
So will these go down $100 after the 15 is released or will they be discontinued? Wondering if I should wait to get one!
I hope next SE is a mini with dynamic Island.
I Love my 13 mini. I upgrade my iPhone every year except last year, when Apple discontinued the mini. I am not planning on upgrading to iPhone 15. I would rather continue using the 13 mini than buy shinny new iphone
I think we'll see alot of this decision this year.
Are Minis even available now? I wish I purchased this instead of the Pixel 7 back then 😢
love your videos, I do see that you have an iPhone, iPad, AirPods, so I was wondering if you could do a apple tech tour?
I have a small hand & palm, fit to the Ip13 mini so I got it. Since that people have been impressed and keep asking me about the cute Iphone because it has very few users right now. Even if I got Ip 15, people would not approach and ask me a thing about it.
If I ever come back to iphone im gonna get a mini. Phones r getting too big nowadays n whats the point? I dont need a bigger screen
How is the selfie camera? Sucks on my 2020 SE, which I otherwise like size wise.
@@cxssetteman182 compared to the 13 pro camera. There is a difference, but I love the 13 mini form factor.
I just bought one but had to get the 512gb one since that’s the only one I could find new, I paid a whooping 1000 dollars for it. I could have got a 15 pro lol . But I wanted the mini and do not regret a thing
Wow. You made a really good argument in favor of the mini. Thanks for the video
I would get a flip iphone if ever thats a thing.
we’ll be waiting for a long time brother
They need to make a pro mini. I switch between my 13 mini and 14 pro, but refresh rate is super noticeable
Your 💯 correct I went from the 10s to 13 mini as this was the last small phone it’s great hopefully they bring out another mini again 😎
I can’t believe they dropped the mini.
I went from the 12 Pro Max to the 13 mini. Despite being tempted by the 15 i won't be swapping, for all the reasons you've mentioned and more.
I'd like Apple to decide to create a mini version of 15
Keep using my 1st gen SE for almost 8 years now. Simply hate huge phones! :) Sadly, Apple now doesn't support my SE, so considering a move to the 13 mini.
or..you could get a SE2 or 3????
@@DigitalCity-sj4es thinking now, that I need a better camera. Moreover, 13 or 12 mini is more similar to my SE in regards to its form factor))
I love my 13 mini, no regrets!!!
Oh one other thing the iPhone mini is a perfect phone for selfies cuz I went to my brother's wedding and cuz it's so small it's easy to hold out take pictures group pictures anyway I don't have a problem with battery life but I don't play with my phone all day so it's a good one for me
My 12 mini battery is at 80%, considering the regular 15, but it's kinda big.
Hope to see that in the next version.
i'd like a new Gen mini, but same size or smaller
Would you still reccomend 13 mini while 15 is just behind the corner?
The amazing thing about the mini is that you can get a magsafe battery or just any small power bank and get a full charge since the battery is so small
I’d pay whatever the price is for a new mini or a mini pro!!
So are you keeping the Mini or upgrading to the 15 Pro?
I always test new phones but I keep the mini as a primary device.
On my 3rd 13 blue, green 2x mini insurance keeps hooking it up 14 pro when it was currently sold it got another mini tthen 2nd one that broke got a 15 sold it. As long as I can keep finding new sealed in box I’ll keep using 13 mini 😅
I hate big phones with even bigger camera bumps. I think I'm going for the mini this year and the hell with 15.
Its so sad they gave up on the mini version... Was the perfect size
This is the best you have done 😊👏 0:27
I've had my 13 mini for about 9 months now. Best phone I've ever had, not had any problems at all. Though I'm a little bit concerned about my phone having 95% battery capacity.
How long have you owned the phone for?
@@KLA82 10 months
Same mine is 87% now I’m year and quarter with it
I use 1gen SE and waiting for a same size new iPhone
The iPhone 13 mini is simply the best!
We’ll see.
They should continue the mini line up
This is the phone I'm using until it dies. I was bummed that they discontinued it.
I really miss minis.
I loved my 13 mini but had to upgrade to iPhone 15pro because typing on the mini was driving me nuts
I even mess up my typing on a 10 inch ipad can't imagine doing it on a tiny phone. I guess once you're used to a full PC keyboard it's hard to use anything else, it feels less efficient and I don't like touching glass for too long.
I wish there was a mini 15 pro. I like the compact size
Looking for the mini coz the iPhone 14 pro is heavy.
I’d totally 100% upgrade my 13 Mini to a next gen iPhone Mini immediately upon release.
Yes. I vote yes:Apple. Bring back the iPhone Mini as soon as possible.
@Vittor whats the charging time for 0-100 using wall charger in Iphone 13mini
I love how for the States it's considered " a low price" and in my world I'm still justifying buying it in my head
The iPhone 13 mini is a good phone for sure, but the battery life totally sucks.
I really miss the bigger screen and will get a bigger phone in the near future
I 100% expected poor battery life but was shocked when it actually lasted all day for me. I think in another year I'll need a MagSafe battery pack to get through the day but right now it's fantastic.
i bet the mini will be like the SE with a new model coming every few years
