Painting your griptape with stencils are the easiest and one of the coolest way to customize it. Highly recommended to people who are new to customising.
it’s pretty fun to stick to a theme with your deck, wheels, and grip tape, like mine is a lime green design with zoro from one piece on the grip tape, so u can do whatever u want tbh
Rn I staining my board then doodling on it with sharpie and then buffing the deck and finally throwing some clear grip tape on to it for a custom but not cluttered look
I remember buying my first proper drop deck never understood how much the shape of a board could make a difference in your ride but it was horrible the center of gravity was rude and no matter how many risers I added I could never get enough space inbetween the floor and the lowest point of the deck when making simple turns
I have a red whipper snapper no I got reds bearing and ( I wanted red ) blue spit fires 99d and I’m going to do red trucks and blue bolts wit two blue in the front
I have recently painted my board and what I did was I just cut out a stencil stuck it down and then sprayed it with spray paint and then but some clear varnish over it so the paint wouldn’t come of
I have a couple of questions 1- my skateboard grip has the brand name 'RAMPAGE' printed on it , will it effect the application of the paint? 2. what type of glue would i use to stick photos onto the deck base (mainly photos with a more shiny effect) 3. could i use modge podge as a protective layer for the spray paint and photos on the deck base? Thank you!
1. Only where it's printed there will be discoloration from whatever color "rampage" is. 2. Any light application of wood glue EVENLY over the entire surface of the back of the photo to obviously prevent air bubbles. 3. No paint is gunna last, but applying a clear coat over the paint job helps. Spray paint will wear away fast af and generally ppl only paint their decks to hide ugly graphics.
genuine question: I wanna paint my griptape like in the video but wouldn't it scrape off while doing tricks? I own paint markers and could buy spraypaint
I've been getting my skateboarding advice from skate box since last year , but I only realise now, that this host guy sounds like a dude with a nineteen year olds way of speaking .
Tweak your trucks. I ride old tensor bases (with the slider) kept the tensor kingpin, venture hangers, the washer from a set of bones bushings (that blew out) and indy stock bushings. Not so much artistic as functional. It's a fun way to get your setup to specs you never thought of. I.e. angle of pop, actual wheelbase. Forget the lack of industry standard. 5.0, 139, hi vs. low. Come up with something that fits your needs. But I nerd out on shit like that.
Dunno if you figured it out in the past year, but some things for cleaning metal: boil it with baking soda for a bit. This should get the paint rising up and flaking off. The other thing I've done is to get some Simple Green cleaning concentrate and soaking the metal in it for a while, then scrubbing it with a wire brush.
i got multi coloured wheels and screws, bright red trucks and i got some acrylic paint and painted rancid in neon green, thats my 2021 deck, my 2020 deck is even better!!!!!
like the video if u love ur parents
Orphans: *well yes but actually no*
Can u maybe not put many like memes and videos in the videos
Your lucky I love my parents
i guess i hate my parents

Basically get anything and put trucks on it
Loll
💀
I customised my deck, by drawing graffiti on it with permanent markers.
Yo that sounds dope-
Nice
did anyone try it with sharpies? that's literally all I have lol
@@thefloorisreallyjustafloor6710 lol
@H he said sharpies 🤦♂️
Never leave a bolt out or take the cover out of berrings.
Taking out the shields isn‘t that bad. I bought berrings without shield anyways and this way you can clean them easier.
Hush
Bearings without the shields are amazing
Ya might as well throw em in thr garbage
R/Boneappletea haha lmao berrings? Hahahaah
I’ve always use the little green screw from the Lucky 🍀 hardware , so that I can quickly tell which end was the front/back.
This guy always provides quality content with no clickbait and always gets straight to the point
i agree bro
Me: looks at the thumbnail
*spray paint. Got it*
I customize mine by riding hard and getting it dirty.
I like the idea of having red knuts on one side and green knuts on the other for port and starboard.
You guys aren't first, Skate Box is.

Mine is just a freakin mess with stickers all over it
I want one with zoro too 😭😭😭😭
Unfortunately I already bought a white and pastel blue board smh

For Christmas I’m thinking of getting some bearings and grip gum, any good stores or websites?
Check out your local skate shop! If you don't have one, I always leave links in the description!
Slam city
You can get bones reds off of Amazon and some grip gum which is pretty cheap
really cool video homie!
i’m actually going to a skate camp for a day where you decorate board as well as skate
Yknow, even if i dont see the reason to watch you... you still make the video fun to watch.
What I do is get acrylic paint and draw an arrow at the front to tell the front and back actually really useful
I put stickers under my clear griptape. I am super happy with the result it look prete gud
Board pusher has really good boards and good custom graphics
I was thinking of getting a plain bamboo cruiser, and then get a white posca and do a topographical kinda look- just lines
How should I costomize my deck? Can you still slide on it when you paint it with acrylic paint or should I use spraypaint?
Yes you can still slide on it
spray paint would last longer than acrylic paint
Thanks!! I Think I'll do a mix of bofe because I dont habe that many spray paint coulors
If you're really into preserving your deck look get some rails. I don't do boardslides but I still want to get a set to protect my deck.
“You just have to put everything back together”
me: horrible Fnaf 5 flashbacks
same
now you say this I'm getting flashbacks to the game too
I'm here doing a berserk dragonslayer design with some masking tape and some sprays
I think hazard tape on the underside of the board would look pretty cool
This is so cool!

IF YOU SPRAYPAINT YOUR TRUCKS DO NOT PAINT THE THREADS ON YOUR AXELS. YOU WILL REGRET IT

great tips!! yo summer time is coming im gonna make set up with a fishing rod bwuahahaha

I grabbed my whightening and just drew all over my grip tape so the drawings have a drip effect to em and now they look sick

I hydro dipped my wheels and the paint just peeled after some ride, how can I make the painted wheels more durable?
Dying them is going to be the best option if you want it to last
Love th vid keep t up
i got a custom board but it didn’t come with a clear coat, what can i use to put over it??
I like stickers on my board, gives it character without fully covering the graphic
Osom skate video a prisejed😉🤗😎❤️👍
I heard some stuff about using a rubber on grip tape and draw stuff
I mostly use chalk board marker to draw on my grip tape and it brings life to my board

I don't have the equipments to remove the trucks so just gonna do it when they are on the skateboard
U can also use poska markers, they stick to anything
-for the wheels and trucks
Can u spray paint the grip tape
genuine question: I wanna paint my griptape like in the video but wouldn't it scrape off while doing tricks? I own paint markers and could buy spraypaint
I think a good way to customize your board is to collect a lot stickers and put it under your clear grip
For the grip tape you can cut a design through it and it’ll show your deck that’s what I did
venom grip tape is great and they have so many designs
What's the source of the video at 3:44?
0:09 - The best skateboarder of Czech republic named Maxim Habanec
Can u spray paint a black truck to white?
If you get some sandpaper and sand it down to expose the metal, then it will be just fine
nice meeting you at obx
I need to wait 9 days for my skateboard to arrive

Whats the best way to REMOVE paint from trucks. I'm looking at a new revive deck but I'm trying to save money on trucks. Thanks!

Try using lacquer thinner or a wire wheel on a bench grinder.
My red bolts are my nose, and my blue is my tail
I surf and is it ok putting stickers onb the bottom of your board because if you put stickers on your surfboard your generally considered a kook
make a custom deck, paint your design on it, then clearcoat it
