These are so great! Thanks so much for posting. I think the sound quality is great, considering. I'm glad the crowd quit clapping, though, since the majority wasn't on the beat lol. It's very difficult to sing, especially a capella, when somebody's out there clapping out of time hahahaha.
Two great talents from two entirely different music fields making beautiful music together. I'm a classic rock fan, but this is beautiful. To me, this song and some of the other music were the only things that made "O Brother, Where Art Thou" worth watching.
This is so utterly incredibly beautiful...totally brings me to my knees in gratitude, love and spirituality... Peace, Love & Prayers, Love, Bridgette xooxxo
Saw them at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia and, Holy Crap!! Awesome, truly a wonderful show! Big fan of both supremely talented artists. How many people can say they got Robert bloody Plant to sing backup?!?!? Truly a beautiful show I will never forget. Thsi was an unlikely duo, but they work very well together; didn't see this coming!
Incomparable. I think I just got religion. I'd follow Her down to the river Anytime. T-Bone Burnett you're a Genius. And with Robert Plant singing harmony. Folks, if you live long enough, You see everything!
I agree with the anti-clappers. There are songs that are ok to clap to. This is NOT one of them. All you should hear is her beautiful voice. I just saw them sing this last night & it brought me to tears.
@steve732 That was a crumby thing to say. Plant was a wild young man like lots of young men. He was only a kid in Led Zep. He lost a son, his best friend, went through a lot of changes a long time ago. He's now in his 60's. Do you think he would lend himself to this performance if he didn't believe in it ? I saw a humble man walk out on this stage - not a kid dealing with instant fame/money. Life is about perfecting ones soul. Are you perfect ? No, you're are not.
I would agree. This should be the selling point of religion. Too often it is terribly sold, shamefully packaged Christian rock. But this is the simple essence of spirituality. This is what wins hearts and minds, body and soul.
Alison just angelic ! Incredible !! But wtf is wrong with Americans ? The crowd was disgraceful. No respect. Whoopin and a hollerin throughout the performance instead of being fully appreciative in reverent silence. Absolute @#$%^&! Kudos to Alison - an incredibly brave and standout performance. What a voice !
@deannadubbin Who are you to say? Robert Plant, Alison Krauss....singing together. They seem to be fine....a rocker and a blue-grass playing fiddler talent. They seem to be doing well, their Emmy Awards aren't enough? Get over yourself; it's music, it will will go on.
@nula07 I get it very well. Members of the audience like the sound of their own voices. They are there because it's more important for them to say "I was there" than to actually listen the performance. It is just so lacking any respect for what is actually prodigious talent.
mouldyfannel... I'm sure Alison Krauss is wise enough to know whether Robert Plant is adding to or taking away from her performance. Here's a novel idea, why don't we let her make that decision
@moosehose Wow..my bad. I'm a music junkie. This is folk music. You clap, you sing along, you may dance. Folk music.....you don't like it, you are free to leave to find a "purist" combined folk and rock music audience, as tidy as you'd like. Robert Plant and Alison Kraus together, the audience is what? Silent? No one is "bothering" you, I may have replied to a post, a person is allowed to do that, jeez. Music, let it be what it is, who asked you? Got a life, thank you.
@distar10 They didn't shut up because they don't know any better. Even though they've paid for tickets, they look at music as merely background to what they're doing, and that they are more important than the music. Of course, we know that that's not true, but to these individuals, *they* are what matters, not the sacred dance of performer and audience.
@moosehose Yeah, it absolutely a sing-along tune, perhaps if you knew a thing about anything, you'd know that. Jeez, how exhaustive you are....get a grip
She's such a talented singer! Check out another talented singer singing this classic song on our channel. TheShippExperience Old Classics Done Right=) rate and comment.
@pvandck Really? Robert Plant, Alison Krauss. I'd guess they have had their own fan audiences, they seem to be fine with what they are doing, and their audiences. Problem is on you, apparently. Contain yourself to audiences that suit you. Leave people alone. Settle down.
In some poor parts of the country, people made their own music, as entertainment they could afford. Sure, the breakdown between 'regular people' and 'good musicians' existed, but not to the degree that anyone was told to sit quiet and listen respectfully. Also, it's a damn church song, almost a hymn, and it's SUPPOSED to be sung by a whole churchful of people. Even people in the Church of I Went To A Cool Concert Last Night.
Fancy having Robert as a backing singer... mind blowing
robert plant finally found his match in her. two of the undisputed heavy weight singing champions of all time
Alison Krauss has such a beautiful voice!
This is true talent, no need for instruments, just a voice.
This song has always sends chills through my body, in a good way. Great song.
Perfect singing. Just perfect.

No doubt, she has the voice of an angel!
shes facing the sun and is on the right road for sure.
God Bless Alison

Wow! Love it!!
Just awesome !!!
Amazing Robert is secreatly a good Cristian .it took alisons convincing
I totally agree, people have a strong tendency to spoil wonderful performances by yelling like crazy instead of feeling the moment
Thank you shaking arms are not. What a great tune and blessing
Two great voices together
Praise God that tour is done!
actually has brought a tear to my eye

@redsunset66 I was there as well, a very introspective moment, beautiful.
Dude I’m doing this song in choir rn
@distar10 cause it´s a song !! and the up and down is a matter of fact!
awesome
@deannadubbin
Audience does not have to "keep time", it's folk music, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. If they don't like it, they'll say.
Wonderful of you to post this , she is sooooo good. I only wish people would SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!
It's folk music, good songs, people clap and sing along. You don't like it, don't be involved. Simple.
Great performance - awful audience.
@steve732 That was a crumby thing to say. Plant was a wild young man like lots of young men. He was only a kid in Led Zep. who are the two other guys ... is it buddy miller with the hat on !
Agreed. That really pisses me off. I hate when the audience can't just shut up for one song.
wow thass an Intelligent response.
I'm sorry but how is it rude? Have you never been to a concert before? Go see her live, it will blow your mind, I promise :)
certainly looks that way all bedecked in glowing yellow light....
@nula07 I get it very well. Members of the audience like the sound of their own voices. They are there because it's more important for them to say "I was there" than to actually listen the performance. It is just so lacking any respect for what is actually prodigious talent.
@TheFiatLux really?! the random off key "back up" isn't bad
❤️😊🌈☀️✨🌙🦋😘
The rowdy audience clapping - out of beat - really screwed that up.
She has the most beautiful voice ever. About the only comparison I can think of is Natalie Cole.
Hello?
i dont believe in god, but this song really makes me want to.
mouldyfannel... I'm sure Alison Krauss is wise enough to know whether Robert Plant is adding to or taking away from her performance. Here's a novel idea, why don't we let her make that decision
LMFAO @ Theemotto1 - my thoughts exactly..what IDIOTS!!!
What a fabulous version of this song though - LOVE Alison:)
@decomposing1
It's folk music, a concert, there are considerations, way beyond your frame of reference, And yet, you assault...why would one do that?
@moosehose
Wow..my bad. I'm a music junkie. This is folk music. You clap, you sing along, you may dance. @macduflives, great comment. LOL
@megariot My late Dad told me to always ignore the "iI F P" (Ignorent fucking public)
@dogwood523 Tears, sobbing - its all good but yells and whistles tend to throw the performer off with this type of song. It wasn't a rock concert !
Don't get worked up about it. Though it is a pretty lousy audience -- as is mentioned in several comments.
@distar10 They didn't shut up because they don't know any better. Even though they've paid for tickets, they look at music as merely background to what they're doing, and that they are more important than the music. @moosehose
Yeah, it absolutely a sing-along tune, perhaps if you knew a thing about anything, you'd know that. Jeez, how exhaustive you are....get a grip
dear alabama,
this isn't a song you can clap to.
wow the south...
chad1790 NAH..ANGEL ..SARAH MGLAGLIN..SCREWED THAT UP..ER BOB DYLAN ...NOT DARK YET,ALL GREAT,,,,
plant looks like he's a "sinner" in the back of a good ol' fashion revival

omg! i hate when people clap and then you can't hear the singer...it's annoying
but other than that it's really good :)
@WhitetailWillie
Why? It's a folk song. It's folks, in response. Folks, singing along with a folk song....should shut up? Why would that be?
@nula07 Go take your medicine now.
@pvandck
nah, you just don't get it. Find something of interest to you, and get out.
@pvandck
Really? Robert Plant, Alison Krauss. I'd guess they have had their own fan audiences, they seem to be fine with what they are doing, and their audiences. Problem is on you, apparently. Contain yourself to audiences that suit you. Leave people alone. Settle down.
lol wwhy clap during this song..

Its a concert, if you want silence you need to stay home. Duh
Personally, I thought the enthusiasm of the crowd was awesome! If you want silence...Buy the CD and listen privately.
@deannadubbin
It's folk music, your regard is of no value.
