- Robert Plant & Alison Krauss perform In The Mood at the Sommet Center (formerly Gaylord Entertainment Center) in Nashville, TN on 7/19/08.
An old English folk ballad called Matty Groves is performed in the middle of the song and then In the Mood is picked back up. Plant and Krauss sounded great. I am more of a Zeppelin fan and wondered how the pairing of the two would go over live and they put on a great show. Krauss' vocals paired with Plant's vocals was a real treat. Go see them live if you get a chance.
An interview with Robert Plant in the local paper can be found here:

Plant has always had the best timing of any singer in the business.
Alright, I'm impressed. The vocals and harmonies are killer.
One of the best pairings around. I love Alisons voice.
just too cool...plant is such a class act
Alisan Krauss and Robert Plant. What a miracle that was. And the creative bringing together of Maddy Groves and In the Mood -- brilliant. Krauss and Plant are one of the best musical pairings ever -- and one of the most unlikely. I love how it works. It's what makes listening to music so exciting. Robert Plant in Nashville? Who would have thought?
Absolutely, positively brilliant.
I sooooo want to see them in concert!!!
These shows must have been stunning.
Great Harmonies! Great Song !
I thought this was wonderful! I loved it when Alison started singing Matty Groves. It fit in perfectly!
GOD BLESS T BONE!!!!!!!!
I was probably only a few rows behind you, it was an incredible night, this was one of the highlights, thanks for posting!
Plant already did the Zep tour when it was Page/Plant. That was the time for the reunion and they left Jonesy out. A Zep tour now would be somewhat stupid so kudos to Plant for realizing that. This concert was incredible! I hope for a live album/dvd or a new album.
AWESOME¹¹¹¹LOVE THEM!!
Great Video Thanks!
I got a feeling this video doesn't do this "experience" justice. I would have loved to have been there.
I wound't have minded a Zeppelin tour, but I'm very glad to be able to hear this, instead.
thanks for posting, i first heard this live in milwaukee on plants first solo tour with phil collins on drums, this was not real popular at the time, and he only had half a house, but when the lights came on, there was the lead singer of led zeppelin, and i was 19th row, very exciting.
Do not by ticket they do not care about fans trust me folks ......
Imagine Alison Krauss and Robert Plant had a child. The entertainment world would have to retire everyone else!
Or Alison Krauss out of the picture ;)
Thank you for sharing this! :)
...I think that will not endure to hear it until the end, and will probably go to sleep ...:)
There is no Led Zeppelin without John Bonham.
First tour I think.
Does anyone know where I can find this online to download it? Thanks!
Bonus: Alison playing fiddle with her favorite fiddle player, Stuart Duncan.
Holy Shit why don't you just make a big golden Robert Plant idol and worship it.
Because Robert Plant does not watn to do Led Zeppelin right now. He wants to do other things now..
The singing wasn't too bad, but not great. I expect Robert Plant to go into calling out the moves to a sqaure dance song. Is he going to a Polka Rendition?
