    The Thrilling 30's Sandstorm was 1 figure that I wanted back in the day. Loved the "arrrttiiiccuuulllaationnn" shout out! 😝

    This and Springer are still my favorite figures that i have kept from this line

      Yeah I don't foresee me selling them for a while

  • @GunFeverr
    @GunFeverr 10 дней назад +1

    T30 Springer and Sandstorm hold up so well especially in the years that followed as Hasbro went all in on much blockier figures obsessed with the G1 toy aesthetic to the point where they brought back stickers in place of sculpted details

    • @TMan978
      @TMan978  10 дней назад

      My problem wasn't the blockiness but combine wars were all cheap hollow repaints of each other. I'm pretty sure everybody got a raise that year from all the money they were saving they had one new leader class mold that year

    I was NOT prepared for Optimus Prime takin' A Jump to the Sky Turns to a Rider Kick!! 😂😂🤣🤣
    Between the T30 & Legacy versions, I like the T30 more. I mean...I'd pick up the Legacy one if I saw it in stores (just like I got Siege Springer despite having the T30), but that whole thing with Sandstorm's chest not tabbing into place properly and that wonky dune buggy mode...I don't see it being enough to replace my T30 Sandstorm.

      I actually like the dune buggy. Especially in person.

    Nice to see Hasblow finding balance, inflating the price while shrinking the size and quality.......
    I dig the look on the Thrilling 30 Sandstorm but secondary market prices are up there. Posing definitely seems to be a challenge. If I find it for a decent price I'll get it but I'm not going out of the way for sure. The "G1" is good in Chopper mode, bot mode is passable but the buggy, not so much. Was wondering why your copy didn't seem to have a loose chest, thanks for sharing. Very informative

      Shrinking yes quality I think the quality is there.... Besides that stupid chest

    Fantastic review TMan978!!! As far as which figure of Sandstorm is the better figure, the T30 or Legacy version, for me it's an apples to oranges comparison, so I personally enjoy both figures. lol :D Keep on being amazing.

    Sorry TMan for going on a little rant here and I want to say before you read the rest of it that you're definitely a lot more chill on the price hike unlike some other reviewers so this rant is more towards them than you but here I go . the price hikes wouldn't be so bad if the Biden and his administration would stop putting increased taxes on companies , I mean increasing taxes on businesses is just going to make them increase the prices on their products and we see it with not just hasbro but with pretty much every important product like food , gas and clothing which are way more important than plastic toys also the same people complain about buying a fifty dollar mainline toy but are the same people who would spend 300 dollars on a third party figure and it would literally fall a part the moment they touch it and they wouldn't won't call them out on it

      Hasbro raised prices and shrank figures and quality before/while Trump was in office.
      Combiner wars was some of the cheapest plastic feeling, waffly, simple transformation lines we had gotten. The reused mold after mold.
      I will admit with Siege, the plastic quality got better on some figs but everything shrank. But the price went up.

      It’s pathetic that they don’t respect you enough to think you wouldn’t know the truth and history of this

    • @thecasualknight2647
      @thecasualknight2647 8 дней назад

      @@TMan978 Your right there always been price hikes but the price hikes from combiner wars and lines before that seem to have increased prices every three to four years and even then it was only a few dollars every time from what I can recall but ever since siege we have seen a huge increase in price in the last five years .
      The sizes on the other hand, I'm in favor of it , because it keeps characters in the sizes they're supposed to be in and the quality is definitely their not for all figures of course but definitely a lot better than the prime .
      Now the thing I most worried about is the side Hasbro is taking in the political stage more so than the price hike so far they're doing everything Disney when Disney made their stance clear and we're slowly but surely seeing those same roots in Hasbro with happened with earthspark and wizards of the cost and if this keeps going we will get something like the Acolyte in transformers in the near future .

    The new price points for TF are just outrageous. Thrilling 30 Sandstorm was only $22.99 that's pretty much doubled! And Hasbro considers the new one a "Leader class." 🥸 Thank goodness for reviewers!! I get to almost enjoy the toys without having to shell out money hehehe
