My mind was blown several times watching this. I can't believe how accurate you are with the jetpack + scout. That part in the interloper was my favorite, it went so fast lol
Your maneuvering with the ship and jetpack is absolutley bonkers but that flying through the cacti to get to the Sun Station late in the loop was what made me go "motherfucler" under my breath.
this is just unbelievable. Thanks for the great effort! Outer wilds is the best game ever in my life, but I couldn't play for 2nd time, this speedrun saved my anohter 24 hours. :)
damn you are good. throughout the game i was so curious how mechanically precise the game's speedrunning got to be and it sure is. although managing to keep so many things in mind for a 100% logbook speedrun is even more impressive (and not much of those on youtube i believe). congratulations on all the efforts that led to this.
We have a route doc that lays out all the text you need to read, I memorized it from there. It mostly comes down to muscle memory and me having a good memory generally.
Why do you make an early trip to the vessel? Can you not get everything on the trip before you end the game? (I am probably missing something but no clue what)
Funny you mention that. Just a few days ago I did some timing and discovered that it is actually faster. So look forward to seeing that in future 100% runs.
Why do you still die on the fire at the start? I vaguely remember pre-DLC that it was needed to unlock dozing off, but the DLC patch made it so that you can do that from the start. Does it make it so that Gabbro will teach you to meditate?
In order to get all the logs for Gabbro, we need to talk to them in the third loop or later. This is due to their dialogue changing over the first three loops. Since quitting out doesn't advance the loop counter, it's fastest to just die in the fire to get to the third loop.
@@ptminsker Oh, interesting. Why is it faster to wait two loops at the beginning rather than just doing other planets first so giant's deep naturally falls after the third loop?
That was a fantastic run to watch. Since it is a 100% we get to see, even briefly, a bit of everything the game has to offer. It was just enough to get a nice nostalgia trip and remember all the good time spent on the game myself. All while being amazed at your skill. Also, since it is almost glitchless, everything is easy to follow. You make everything look so easy that I am wondering what do you consider is the most difficult part of the run? I think some precise manipulations of Nomai light balls and writing rolls was not optimal, is it really where time can be saved or is that insignificant compared to some other bigger factors not immediately visible to the average player?
You can't save anyone. You can change everything. Outer wilds is about inevitability, and infinitesimal probabilities making wonderful miracle experience
If you start flying when the statue turns its head then you don't get your memories stolen until you land on any ground, normally he goes all the way to the ship before landing to save time idk if that makes it faster
Different languages are faster for different loops. Turkish is fastest for the first loop, then Russian for the next 3, then Polish for the final loop.
@@GrantGryczan It's because of the way that text is "typed" on screen letter-by-letter in the game. Some languages use fewer words than English to say the same thing, and some of their words contain fewer letters than the same word in english. So the fewer letters that need to be typed, the faster the text will appear on screen, which saves a bit of time. I also believe that some languages which tend to have longer words actually type the text faster to make up for it. It's a balance of finding which language is the fastest for the majority of dialogue options that need to be read in a loop.

After just beating the game and getting the intended ending, watching this ripped me right out of my immersion. I love it. Awesome skills man.
Feldspar mode
I’m just speechless.. I like watching speedruns and I’ve seen a lot.. but this run.. outstanding! Every bit of it.. Congratz my friend!

Just finished the base game. Your navigation past the anglerfish in Dark Bramble is insane!
Speedrunners are just built different. Amazing achievement!
It's insane how you memorized what texts update your ship log. How did you do that?

Sickk run, wish there was more outer wilds speedrunners doing stuff as cool as this.
Why do you make an early trip to the vessel? Can you not get everything on the trip before you end the game? (I am probably missing something but no clue what)
You can't slot in the broken warp core when you're holding the actual warp core, and you can't set it down in 0g.
Oh that makes sense, a bit of a shame but it doesn’t make the speedrun any worse luckily (cool epic fast run)
I wonder if flying directly to the Sun Station would be theoretically faster
Funny you mention that. Just a few days ago I did some timing and discovered that it is actually faster. So look forward to seeing that in future 100% runs.
@@ptminsker Lmao, definitely looking forward to it
Super cool run, congratulations!
Great run. How did you save a minute on the twins?
You can see the previous run here ruclips.net/video/Sz1MKEOGsLo/видео.html
Basically I got a ton of lag during that loop that really screwed me over.
Keep up the great work! Much love

@@eldonhill4840 Because I quit out at the end of those loops instead of dying, so they don't count towards the loop counter.

Great run, gratz!
at 46:12, does shooting galaxies make them go away faster?
No, that whole section is just on a timer
Insane bro, great
Ülkemizin gururu
This is basically what you do at the end of every loop when you hear the end times music
*GET THE INFORMATION*
I don't know why, but that Interloper segment reminded me of Snowboard Kids on the N64.
“You can’t save the universe in a day”
Well, he didn't saved it

Why do you aim the signal detector at specific places sometimes? Specifically talking about at the geyser at the very beginning.

what does the fire death do?
I wanna see a tas of this

Me: What In The WORLD😳
What languague is this?
Epileptic mode 😂
Can anyone tell me why all speedrunners kill themselves in the fire on the very first loop?
to get the gabbro dialogue thats only unlockable after the third loop
Is this spliced?
