@@Me-wx1mt It's not too difficult to do with the ship if you know how orbits work. ok landing on the sun station not only without using the warp tower but without using the SHIP is one of the coolest things I've ever seen anyone do in this game
I like to consider each playthrough partially non-canonical, because I imagine the hatchling does many, many more things than we're actually privy to in the loops. Things like this. Absolutely this.
This was all pretty cool but man the fact that you made it to the sun station and back is really what made me shake my head in impressed disbelief. This was awesome dude! Edit: excuse me did you just take the backdoor tunnel to feldspar’s ship what the fuck
spoilers of some details: (assuming you mean the hatchling before gaining the knowledge of the time loop) i enjoy this idea, but i think realistically 9 million loops isn't that many when we're thinking of the probabilities here to begin with, the hatchling is mostly going to be doing the same stuff every loop, like the other NPCs. the only butterfly effect would come from the quantum moon (and other quantum randomness), and the player observing the directions of the orbital probe cannon. those introduce variation, but not that much for another thing, the hatchling would SUCK at flying with the jetpack/ship every single loop. you're green, every time. they have a model ship set up for you to practice on in case you need it. the player GETS amazing at flying because they can keep learning through the loops eventually, through pure chance, they would do it, but 9 million is a drop in the bucket compared to the massive number they'd need. it's a bad bad bad chance
This is an amazing run. Also shows how incredibly powerful the ship in this game actually is, letting you brute force around all of this orbital mechanics stuff.
........ someone give this guy a medal, he landed on the SUN STATION!!!!!, confused chert and feldspar, found a secret entrance to dark bramble, and figured this entire thing out, keeping a cool head through it all!!! this is... wow. just awesome, nice job!!!

I started watching this video planning to make some smart-alecky comment like "What? No Hollow's Lantern?" or "Next, try a no damage run," or "Now do it without using the scout for momentum!" But... wow. You DID. And you added lots of extra touches, too, like, making a point of actually entering the White Hold Station and Orbital Probe Cannon instead of just standing on them, and going through the hidden tunnel in Dark Bramble, and making sure to actually walk on land on Giant's Deep. Many kudos! I assume it's probably possible to exit Giant's Deep from one of the islands when it's in space. If so, it would be neat to see a run similar to this in which the astronaut ends up back with Slate at the campfire on Timber Hearth as the sun explodes.
I'm impressed that the tidal forces of the Hourglass Twins are enough to escape the Sun's gravity, I thought you would be stuck on the sun station without a ship / warp pad.
I don't thing that's hourglass twins doing that. When you're on the sunstation, you already have orbital speed. That's why it's effectively zero g while you on the sunstation. All you need to do is to propell yourself prograde and you're outta there

This is incredible. The orbital maneuvering is so cool to watch. Would love to see a route that also gets eotu before the supernova, though AFAIK that's only possible with teleports/shuttles to get off gd?
Funny story - I planned this route to end the run on Giants Deep since (I thought) I couldn't get off. After that initial plan which I first thought of 11 months ago or so, I figured out how to (and successfully did) get off of Giants Deep by riding an island & by swimming into a tornado like I mentioned in my other comment.
