Westwood was one of the last studios to use live action FMV effectively. So much so, that it became a series tradition. Studios are getting cheap nowadays; they couldn't be bothered to use performance capture in their high-budget "AAA" games.

What I can't get over is that if enough C4s to blast a sink hole around the wreck couldn't even scratch it, how is it that man-portable rockets and flame throwers could blow it up?

I would love to see Kane more, as long as Joseph Kucan is in charge of the show. When EA took control they ruined Kane as a character for me (see Tiberium Wars and Tiberium Twilight). Before that Mr Kucan directed the FMVs.
Man, CnC 2 has the best cutscenes and world building. It makes the universe feel so full and real compared to the others. And the cast too, I love Michael Beihn and James Earl Jones. The Mutant chick is really hot, and I love the Forgotten as a faction, very underused
Back in the day, games felt more alive despite the fact that visuals were nowhere near as realistic as nowadays. What made them feel alive, though? Effort. Real human effort. Developers went out of their way to come up with something unique. Look at these cutscenes, it's like watching a freaking TV show, pretty high quality at that. The score, the story, the acting... it's an awesome experience all around. And you got all of that PLUS multiplayer by just paying ONCE. Yep, good old days, when developers cared about effort and heart more than about the amount of polygons and possible useless DLCs...
I agree but the problem is that a ton of these developers that made awesome games went out of business a few years after that. There has to be some way to make these great games and have it be a sustainable business as well.
Then start developing games from the good old days. Many small developers have done this for years. Don't care about the big shots, they're always in it for the money. But the small are the ones who cares :)
Roberth Sjonøy he's modelled after Han Solo from the original Star Wars. And GDI are playing the (ostensibly) more powerful good guys, so I'm willing to forgive a little lackluster dialog. NOD has more interesting lines, but Kane is Evil.

What I really loved as a kid back then (and still now), is how you can see so many units and buildings from the game in the cutscenes from a different perspective. That gives so much more value to the whole experience!
This game is my childhood. Every day I would spend hours playing Tiberian Sun and taking patiently every minute assembling my army, and slowly finishing the misions, seizing every minute of the game. And man, the compromise that so recognized actors such as James Earl Jones and Michael Biehn have put in their performances for a video game is highly apreciated.
Honesty I like the GDI campaign more because of how Kane taunts you throughout it. For me it isn't a tiberium game if Joe Kucan isn't questioning my choice of faction ever so eloquently.
Games had soul. Games had life, and background. Games had a world behind them. Yeah, this may be corny and cheesy as all hell, but it's still better than the remakes and sequels that plague us today, and I know full well that this game IS a sequel.
They'd have to make an epic series: the command and conquer timeline was modified since World War I... starting when Albert Einstein decided to prevent world war II by assassinating Hitler.
Let's say the movie is done correctly. I can't image the confusion of normies who see Red Alert 1 and are trying to figure out why a German soldier 1946 is wearing WWI era combat uniform with a M16A1 fighting against the Soviets who are using an AKM and is under an attack from a YAK-3.
It would be awesome only if, and I repeat, ONLY IF Joseph Kucan plays Kane and they stay faithful to C&C storyline and spirit. Unfortunately, it's very unlikely since Holywood tends to really screw up movies based on video games. I just think they don't see the material seriously. Also, I believe that Red Alert is no longer part of the C&C Tibernium series canon. They should probably start with C&C 1 or maybe the years before it like the rise of the Brotherhood.

Interesting to note that Kanes plan all along was to lure the scrin to earth. Even in Tiberian sun, his long term plan wasn't obvious but there were hints dropped here and there. Like the scrin ship that was discovered during the GDI campaign.

I never played Tiberian Sun, I grew up with C&C 3. I still love the universe though and both factions have great stories for this game. My only complaint, NOD has an amazing scene when Anton kills Hasan and Kane appears to bring NOD back together. GDI doesn't really have an equivalent "best moment" in their set of cutscenes.
Such happy ending, but if you make mistake and read more about what happens after this... Ok, Umagon died shortly after this. Tratos made antidote and they tested it on her, resulting horrible mutations. She was forced to put in padded cell, where she died to mutations.
Yeah and Mac Neil and his team died in the ion storm crash of 3A Kodiak. Firestorm has a much smaller budget, so they could not bring the Tiberium Sun actors.

The storyline of Tiberian Sun is GDI campaign is fully canon while Nod campaign is partially canon. Since Nod campaign is partially canon, only the first four missions including optional mission are canon. After that, the rest of the missions are non-canon. As far as canon goes, the first four missions of Nod campaign are considered the Prologue and all of GDI missions are the Main Story.
And here comes the wery first game ,which introduced this good and legendary RTS game series to Me, the memories from childhood, those were stored on two discs brought to me by one of my best friends. At that time we called them just Golden Eagles and Scorpions :D I can't say which faction I like more, it can be same hard decision like with Jedi order and Sith Empire in Star wars

Amusingly, the contraption that Umagon was locked into by Kane is for the most part the same thing that Slavik was set up in for his execution.
Probably the only difference is what fluid you send through the tubes into the body.

The storyline of Tiberian Sun is GDI campaign is fully canon while Nod campaign is partially canon.
Since Nod campaign is partially canon, only the first four missions including optional mission are canon. After that, the rest of the missions are non-canon.
As far as canon goes, the first four missions of Nod campaign are considered the Prologue and all of GDI missions are the Main Story.

This game is either more like MCU Guardians of the Galaxy or Star Wars, C&C series is awesome, From Tiberium to Red Alert to Generals, the story is awesome

@@thinhvo3893 Honestly, I feel the game has nothing to envy to many sci-fi series from the 1990s and early 2000s. There are a lot of them which had the same B-movie feel, but honestly, it gives it a lot of charm in my book.
