no hes not. its known that if kane existed this war wouldnt have happened and instead the tiberium timeline would happen. there are 4 seperate timelines the generals timeline were the original einstein returned to after killing hitler. the red alert 1 and 2 timeline were hitler was killed. the tiberium wars timeline were kane exist. and the red alert 3 timeline were the russians traveled back and killed einstein
He's very clearly based on Kane, yes. To the point that, before it was cancelled, the original C&C3 storyline would reveal that Yuri was part of Nod's psychic projects, until he was flung into the past via the accidental activation of an abandoned Chronosphere.

I love humor and irony in this game. Actors in cinematics were brilliant. ...But some of them are no longer with us..... Yuri looks like V.I.Lenin :-) :-) and american general Carville is the classic american cowboy... :-). ..... EA ruined Command and Conquer and their correctness ruined humor in that games. For example heroes in Yuris revenge map Hollywood were renamed from Flint Westwood, Sammy Stallion and Arnie Frankenfurthner to only a "hero". Why?

You can try RA2YR mods like Mental Omega, which contain new campaigns mission, new unit and structures, and new lore.
Late, but Sim City 4 has practically the same graphics style.
And Tiberian Sun while a bit less forgiving than RA2 in its UI is also pretty great.
