Awesome video mate! Can't get enough of these! And holy shit I had no idea about the Lands of Lore cameo, that's cool as heck. I wish we could see more of CABAL in a new game (an FPS during the Firestorm crisis would be badass). It's too bad Milton James (the VA) is no longer with us though :(
Great work on the video! I remember back when I did the Marked of Kane faction video I had wondered why CABAL didn't make use of the MoK cyborgs during the Firestorm crisis, since the intelligence database from KW seems to suggest that they were completed by then. CABAL was pretty much integrated into all of Nod's computer systems at that point, and of course, was connected to Kane himself. So I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are on that specific topic. The only thing that came to my mind was that the MoK cyborgs were disconnected from the rest of Nod's computer systems, and so CABAL didn't know of their existence. But he was connected with Kane, so I'm kinda surprised CABAL didn't just read his mind on that subject. Though I guess he could of just not had the time to activate the MoK before being taken down by GDI and Nod.
Oh dang, thank you so much for watching! That's a good question. Since the actual answer (the Marked of Kane weren't a thing back when Westwood were developing :P) is a pretty boring one, I like your notion that they were disconnected and CABAL needed time he didn't have to activate them. So the quote you referenced is "...as the Second Tiberium War drew to a close, the Marked of Kane finally neared completion. However, it was too late to save Nod...", so I'd interpret that as they were nearly complete but not yet ready by the end of TW2, and since FS began very soon after (perhaps only weeks after the end of TW2) the Marked were presumably in a similar state of incompleteness, and now no longer under active production given Nod's recent loss. There's also the matter of logistics, the Marked were developed under "...the Tiberium wastelands of Central Asia and the Russian Steppes", so perhaps CABAL needed to focus on other Cyborg resources since IIRC FS was more centred on the Americas, Africa and Europe, and CABAL's primary core in Africa. They may not have been deemed worth completing yet Cheers mate!
@@NoStringsPrd Cool, thanks for taking the time to answer! I figured the MoK were something the C&C3 devs just came up with to reintroduce cyborgs back into the Brotherhood arsenal for KW. So they had to figure out how to fit them into the lore as best they could. But hey, I didn't even know there was anything C&C related in Lands of Lore 3, let alone it having to do with CABAL. So perhaps I had missed something related to the MoK. Anyway, like I said, great job on the video!
The MoK was a black project directed by Kane himself. Its files were not in the pyramid's databanks, otherwise GDI would have discovered them. The secret bunkers were likely disconnected from the main network as you said. Though I have wondered who were the followers he sent out there. Slavik, his named successor didn't even know about this program. The scientists from Project Regenesis?
I think I never commented preciously on this video, but it has a super great quality, that said the effor on the lands of lore image and attention into the video is awesome, I also love the "Through the shining path" mix. Really feels like a C&C legacy advert.
As a kid I used to always install the Tiberian Sun: Firestorm desktop wallpapers and windows themes that were included on the installation disks so I can hear Cabal say every time I boot up: "Establishing battlefield control....standby."
Why is that all great-bad things always takes place in my country? Toruń, Białystok and then Cabal's Core... Thx for this video by the way. You rule in C&C lore content documents. 👏
I wish someone who knows this stuff made a tutorial on how to set a voice changing program (any voice changing program) so that it would mimic Cabals voice. And it's a pity LEGION doesn't have a distinct voice in KW.

Well, I recently played the old Tiberium Titles and a Question rose as I was about to discover the Lore of NOD once again. The Brotherhood is described as a 'Terrorist' or 'Militia' organization with a *Religion* at it's Core. Well, what 'Religion'? They have Temples and such... But what exactly is their Theology, their core Belief, what is their Liturgy etc? Besides "Tiberium is good for ya!" and "Kane is our paramount Leader!", there is really nothing more about this specific matter. Sure, maybe there is some additonal Info in the Database (C&C3) that I missed out. P.S. Looking forward to play 'The Forgotten' mod for CnC3. They not only added a 4th faction to Multiplayer. No, they added a complete new Singeplayer campaign and an OST, too. I urge any CnC fan who is looking for new Content to give it a shot.

The mod "Tiberium Essence" for vanilla TibWars might grant your wish. The current versions 1.6 and the alpha of 2.0 don't have it, but C.A.B.A.L. faction is planned for the future.
@@inthenameofkane C&C 3 and Kane's Wrath hinted and set up events that could have led to this happening in the 4th game, the issue isn't that Westwood didn't make the 3rd game it's that the 4th game was supposed to be an unrelated online game that was repurposed into C&C 4 with a rushed story that screwed it up lol.

I saw command and conquer again because it's part of the autumn discount and DAMN did I get a huge wave of nostalgia, but I also learned new stuff. I DID NOT know it had lore. Base64 text at 10:30 points to this TibWars codex entry: Excerpt from INN Holobrief, May 28th, 2043 One of the more unusual chapters of the Second Tiberium War came to an explosive close yesterday as the GDI Corps of Engineers detonated what is believed to be the last remaining Cabal bunker - the tube-filled underground lairs from which the rogue Artificial Intelligence waged brief war upon humanity. Contacted for comment, retired war hero and former head of the Bureau of Mutant Affairs, General Paul Cortez, lauded for his role in CABAL's defeat, dismissed his fallen foe as "...a second rate EVA with a goatee and Napoleon complex." Cortez also claimed to have refused a GDI invitation to attend the detonation ceremony, citing his opposition to the current leadership's controversial Tiberium containment policy and "weak kneed" approach to the Brotherhood of Nod. Rumours that this particular bunker displayed evidence of human or humanoid life forms in suspension capsules were quickly dismissed by GDI spokesperson Arlene Shepherd... --- The encoded text is only a partial excerpt from the entry, and I don't know if it has been significantly modified because it was a pain to type out (I do assume it wasn't though). Oh shush
By the way, lore-vid launch detected...
As always, I learned something new, even though I've been playing these games since 1995. Great Job.
"Listen to the sounds of your own extinction, human!"
I usually prefer to play in English, but with C&C, the French version is so good... :p
I really liked CABAL's punchlines when playing :D
As always Stefan, wonderful documented work. A must see for any fan of the franchise!! Thanks so much for all your work.
They may not have been deemed worth completing yet
Cheers mate!
@@Jethild COOL , when are you two gonna play CNC against each other?
I think I never commented preciously on this video, but it has a super great quality, that said the effor on the lands of lore image and attention into the video is awesome, I also love the "Through the shining path" mix. Really feels like a C&C legacy advert.
Dude, I love your C&C lore videos! Keep up the great work!
To this day CABAL is still my favourite command and conquer character
As a kid I used to always install the Tiberian Sun: Firestorm desktop wallpapers and windows themes that were included on the installation disks so I can hear Cabal say every time I boot up: "Establishing battlefield control....standby."
Why is that all great-bad things always takes place in my country? Toruń, Białystok and then Cabal's Core...
Thx for this video by the way. You rule in C&C lore content documents. 👏
"...if this spark should reawaken, what then would legion become? ..."
I wish someone who knows this stuff made a tutorial on how to set a voice changing program (any voice changing program) so that it would mimic Cabals voice. And it's a pity LEGION doesn't have a distinct voice in KW.
According to CnC4: Why do I live? Legion is the AI advisor. Even when you play as him.
@@nicholasgutierrez9940 CnC4? What are you talking about? No such thing exists.
@@BlindArcher0000 Timelines can be finicky, and via diverging paths not always work as intended. When erroneous space-time anomalies like that *thing* which shall not be named do happen though, it's best to dispatch a squad of elite Chrono Legionaires to tidy things up. So its truly *Deconstructed* - *Gone* - and better yet: *Never existed*
There is an AI Algorithm that has emulated Johnny Cash, so CABAL should be possible....
You can make it in audacity easily:
1. Have yourself recorded on wav format (or whatever other audio)
2. open the voice track in Audacity
3. Copy and paste it twice as two new parallel tracks
4. apply on the second track pitch change of -2 and on the third track -4
enjoy.
I Never new about the last few minutes from the other games, amazing to see.
I think we all need a „Siri“ voice of CABAL
CABAL and EVA are still my favorite voices to hear.

Can't wait till TibSun gets its long deserved remaster.
C.A.B.A.L show us the path to victory.

I just hope that if they remaster it they will also let the fans mod it.
@@kucsidavee how about warzone mod ?

@@kucsidavee Tiberium Sun and Red Alert 2 combined.
LOL no mention of C&C4. Love it!
Kinda wish Cabal faction should be in C&C 3
If only Westwood had developed that game. Would’ve liked to see CABAL try to assimilate the Scrin as they had planned.
Marked of Kane is still pretty cool though even if they do suck competitively speaking
I never liked the idea of a 3rd C&C faction being a breakaway faction from one of the main ones. It takes away from the "antagonist" faction and isn't as intimidating as you already faced what they had before which was more.
Ah Cabal, the being who inspired Kane to create his greatest servant of all
LEGION
It's crazy to think that the origin of CABAL's cyborg army is Volkov from Red Alert, originally I was opposed to the connection's between the two games but now it just seems to fit like a glove.
Makes sense then that the Marked of Kane were contained in bunkers in Russia.
Just stumble upon your channel while searching for c&c lore, really well done videos man. You got yourself a new sub
Wow the premier haven't started yet but someone disliked it???
I don't understand RUclips society anymore... How upsetting, like why?
It's cool, some people don't like Premieres in general. I don't worry about dislikes too much :)
My guess, the RUclips algorithm.
Man I love evrything this guy does. Such a fan. Mad respect!
No matter how much I think I know about C&C, there's always something new to learn. I'm not sure what this Lands of Lore is, but now I need to find out. Great video, as always!
Lands of Lore was an old fantasy RPG series Westwood developed back in the day. LoL3 released shortly before Tiberian Sun so it's actually CABAL's first ever appearance. Same VA as from TS and FS, the late Milton James
@@NoStringsPrd Thanks. I just found a walkthrough of that level. nice to hear Milton James again, though it seems like they might have been doing something different with the audio filters. I did enjoy seeing harvesters, Orca Fighters and Attack Bikes in sprite form. its somehow nostalgic, and I never even played LoL3.
@@TheRedshirt93 If you ant to try LoL3 the game is available on GoG and Origin, and I've posted my saves in the #assets-request channel in the No Strings Discord to skip right to the Nod base
Huh, didn't know CABAL was in Lands of Lore 3. I'm going to have to find a video of someone going through that now that I'm aware this is a thing.
Anyway, great work as always, No Strings Prd! Watching this now makes me wonder how a battle between CABAL and SHODAN would play out if they were in the same universe.
Hell yeah, always excited for a new lore video from you! Especially CnC, really looking forward to it :D
"Listen to the sounds of your own extinction."
"In the name of Kane, of course." :^)
Stefan. Your videos are so perfectly produced. Can't get enough of it
your videos are so well done and super intresting, cant get enough of the lore for the games i loved as a child
Thank you so much, really glad you enjoyed them! The lore always fascinated me when I played the games as a child too
4:14 When I first saw that Nod ending to Firestorm, I assumed those were cloning tubes. To explain how Kane survived the Ion Cannon blast and being stabbed by McNeil. The fact that they were suspension pods filled with victims used as processors to power CABAL never once crossed my mind.
I truly wish we had gotten to see the original Westwood plans for C&C 3, and the Cabal faction it would have had.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. We as the commander are the most loyal to Kane. Not to Nod, but Kane. And the only one who doesnt die.
In many ways, We are Kane's closest friend.
HEY welcome back, I'm glad you pop up on my recommendations again.
Cool video dude. Cabal and the cyborgs have to be my favourite part of the lore. I loved the firestorm expansion ^^
Wow! Just Wow!! loved the vid man, awesome work. Also, I had no idea there was a fantasy game that connects to the tiberium universe. you really left me in shock! Fantastic vid buddy! Keep on it!
I never knew about that last game. I now need to dig into it as deeply as possible.
The game is Lands of Lore 3, it released shortly before Tiberian Sun so it's actually CABAL's first ever appearance. The game is available on GoG and Origin (it's kind of dated and has very slow loading but plays well enough), I'm looking into uploading my saves somewhere if people want to skip to the Nod Temple. CABAL in LoL3 is played by Milton James, the same voice as in TS and FS
@@NoStringsPrd Shame Milton James died. Always hoped he would come back to reprise the role of CABAL
@@Mr.Fortunato I mean, if we could dig up his body....
Joe Kucan should voice both Kane & CABAL.
Fantastic video, as always. Your editing in particular is excellent.
I am actually glad I found this channel only now, I just reinstalled Kanes wrath after years, and man this brings back memories , Westwood was a paragon of games design. 🤗 I miss these games so much
Command and conquer lore is perfect
Love your videos, this one was one of the best. The 2nd Tib War has always been my favorite part of the saga and Cabal my favorite character after Kane.
Keep up the good work. This series really does enhance the experience of the franchise as a whole, for me at least
Thank you so much, this really means a lot, cheers!
Dude, this blew my mind. Instant sub
Oh dang, welcome, really glad you enjoyed it!
Sir, you are a genius. Keeping my childhood alive!
This is amazing dude. Congrats on another fabulous lore vid, I loved watching it
Great video as always! Hope everyone's keeping safe. 💜
You know - Now that I think about it: Perhaps the most mentioned Slave in "Slave to the System" is actually talking (besides cyborgs) about a certain bald megalomaniac? If so: What other nods and references are there hidden in the many musics of Command and Conquer? Oh...and did I just make a little pun?
Dude, this is an amazing video.
Keep up the amazing work :)
I listen to your videos to fall asleep haha, and it helps a lot!
Another splendid work.
Now I can only imagine how epic a C&C/Lands of Lore crossover would be. And I mean ALL OF THE TIMELINES with the Lore one.
LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS OF YOUR OWN EXTINCTION. man I love those words :D Long live CABAL
I miss Seth :(
Though I really liked Tiberian Sun - I found it very well made. The alienesque transformation of the landscape and the sounds was very well made.
I saw command and conquer again because it's part of the autumn discount and DAMN did I get a huge wave of nostalgia, but I also learned new stuff. I DID NOT know it had lore.
The only command and conquer I know was one version of red alert, and the command and conquer that uses human troops where, if I remember correctly the tutorial took place in a desert like place where I had to fight like terrorists? These tiberium, earth destroyed and cyborgs are very new to me even though they seem like the first rel3ases.
A new C&C lore video!! AWESOME!
If CABAL is still alive in the world of *Lands of Lore*, then I truly feel bad for whoever has the misfortune to uncover him. That genie is particularly difficult to put back into the bottle, and who knows if it'll stay closed.
Indeed, that world's inhabitants are mere steps from a nightmare none of them can fathom.
They will meet a favourable outcome...

Base64 text at 10:30 points to this TibWars codex entry:
Excerpt from INN Holobrief, May 28th, 2043
One of the more unusual chapters of the Second Tiberium War came to an explosive close yesterday as the GDI Corps of Engineers detonated what is believed to be the last remaining Cabal bunker - the tube-filled underground lairs from which the rogue Artificial Intelligence waged brief war upon humanity.
