Because of you Sir i bought longines tuxedo chrono😻 what a classic vintage look i totally love ittt. I am becoming fan of Longines heritage simple stuff, no lume + 3hands = ❤️.
Got the Longines spirit which is fantastic, there's so many nice Longines watches, need to start saving for my next one, my favourite watch brand, super value.
Beautiful! I recently "discovored" this titanium blue dial option. I simply must have this. There is nothing better in the work than aviation, and this piece is a true pilot's watch. I'd love to give this to my father, he'd appreciate it after being a fighter pilot himself! Gorgeous piece Longines!
Currently on a quartz Longines Conquest My next one is gonna be this one ❤️ Tried one on my wrist just yesterday at my local Longines AD. It's an incredible time piece. Feels weird to weigh so little while its quite a thicc watch The dial...to die for. Absolutely love it.
The combination of the ultra-light titanium case, the design with the petrol blue dial, the AAA-quality and the attractive price are an interesting offer...
@@WatchAdvisor Sup. Clocked the titanium in blue against the black dialled steel model earlier. The blue is half the weight and twice the cool. Both lovely pieces and strap monsters at a ubiquitous 20mm. Bit of a price difference but the blue is worth the upgrade. Glad they didn’t glass out the backside. This is a great offering at the price. Go Longines!
Even though I would love a trip to Sweiz and actually get to meet you in person... Don't forget about your beautiful opening theme I always loved it. The price is right Lady doesn't cut it 😉
Now I’m confused, do I get the black one or the blue one. Love the design on this Edit: closeup convinces me I like this more. Now need to wear both and see which feels perfect
That’s the best you can do... wear and compare them both and then let your heart decide, it won’t lie to you... be sure to see the chronographs under different light conditions too...
I think you’ll like the black dial better long term. It’s a classic military field watch and a blue dial distracts from that theme. It’s pretty but has no function. As a fashion function it also limits with what you can wear it. The black dial goes with everything. Good luck deciding.
A great review as ever. The BigEye is a stunning watch, from THE historical aviation and chronograph manufacturer! I love my black dial version. A very good movement, but a truly great dial design with it's brilliant proportions and asymmetry. This wears very well with it's short lugs. The quality for the price is exceptional (the design unmatched). My only quibble with Longines is the AR coating on the crystal surface - no need for double AR: it risks scratches (this has happened on my Spirit) and is not necessary outside optics manufacture.
With its incredible quality Longines literally threatens its competitors ... Just compare any brand in the same league and you will understand what I mean...
@@WatchAdvisor indeed. Nice trend in the swiss watch industry. Nice to see the competition among the movement manufactures which lead to innovations like silicone hairspring (good for using with magnetic toys) and power reserve moving up to around 70 hours (possible to put away the watch for 2 days, but in fact I even sleep with my Tudor Pelagos LHD :-)). But again: Such a watch from Longines has some "good" anti-snobbery Charakter... I like it.
Quite a few nice ‘variations on blue’ coming out now. I wish the thickness had been under 13mm but I suppose it’s a chronograph module rather than integrated.
@@WatchAdvisor It's a unique a beautiful dial, no doubt. Longines are steadily moving up to Omega levels of specifications and finishing, the Spirit collection is a perfect example of that. It's great to see a such a storied brand coming out with such impressive heritage products!
I know ... showing this Longines does cause some "problems" to other brands ... What get at Longines exceeds the expected ... Let me know if you have any questions...
Great review of probably my favorite Longines in recent years. And how about some quartz? It would be great to see a professional review of Longines V.H.P. Chronograph, a watch that kinda stirred the pot in Basel some years back, and now became almost obscure...
Longines after the quartz crisis being embedded in the Swatch Group (before called SMH) saved the brand - no doubt. Today you get excellent value for the money. Longines today makes a turnover of 1,170 million Swiss francs...
ETA is the groups movement manufacturer. One of the most experienced and BEST movement manufacturer of the industry. Today Longines uses its specific tailor-made calibres manufactured by ETA. The same do Certina, Hamilton, Mido, Rado and Tissot. They all order their specific calibres… What people still think ETA is … is incorrect to a large extend…
A great review Alexander. Unfortunately this watch is not for me. I like the case design and love the blue fade to black dial colour that has no date but that is about it. The big eye minute counter is OK but one thing I have trouble looking past is the way the sub dials slice through the numerals, OK it adds to the tool watch view but detracts from the elegance that might have been.
@@WatchAdvisor Isn't it strange how our views change over time. I really didn't like the BigEye when I first saw photographs of it but I guess it's like you don't like someone when you first meet them but become great friends. The BigEye has grown on me predominately because it is so readable and functional. To be honest I no longer see the cut numerals anymore I just see the time. So I'm eating a large portion of humble pie now as I now have the stainless steel version with the black dial on my wrist and absolutely adore it. I am happy to admit my original thoughts were wrong on a massive scale.
I have the ss version of this watch with a black dial. Iove it but have two wishes. Slightly tapered crown for easier winding. Equal luminous lume. The lume on the hands is brighter and stays luminated longer than the hour numbers on the dial.
Sehr tolles Video über eine sehr interessante Uhr. Eine Frage bitte zum Werk: der Stop-Minuten-Zeiger springt nach Ablauf einer Minute nicht, sondern läuft kontinuierlich mit.
