She peaked at this competition. Obviously she got AA in London, but had a lot of issues on individuals. She blew away the American cup because she didn't have the stress of actually having to compete. I thought this podium was phenomenal! Her pace was on point and the cleanest routine I've seen of hers.
She was the best all around gymnast during this time. At nationals she almost wont with a fall. In london prelims she made all around with a score in the 13's. That's how good she was. And in the tf did all four events. She stated in an interview that by the time event finals came. She was mentally and physically drained like never before.
I was there on Saturday and all I can say about Gabby is WOW! She has improved so much since World's. I think she is a shoo-in for the Olympic team. Her amanar is amazing and her bar and beam routines are so different and refreshing. Love her.
I just fell in love with Gabby at the American Cup! Her 'exhibition' at this competition marked a turning point-the REAL Gabby Douglas! If Marta gives her a chance to shine at the Olympics I think this little girl can potentially be a HUGE star! :)
I understand that is hard to do at a live televised event, but why didn't she do that at the US Olympic Gymnastic Trials? THIS IS PERFECTLY AMAZING!!!! But I still love Gabby Douglas no matter what. I'm an absolute fan, I'm rooting for her.
If Gabby ever competes beam the same way she does in practice, she'd be very hard to beat. Her practice routines are always so solid and yet in competitions she always has tiny errors. Hopefully she can pull off a beam set like this one in AA finals.
Kinda want to see more attention to detail in the way she holds her arm and hand positions. Small details that wont garner any deductions, but will definitely enhance the look of her gymnastics. I think we may have an AA medal contender here at the olympics. True all arounder for sure.
OMG! Amzing improvement. To be honest, Aly and Jordyn better watch out! Gabby can actually swing bars and compete on the other apparatus as well. I see how clean and crisp she works the beam and it's beautiful. Solid beam routine. Aly and Jordyn need to upgrade their bar routines somehow, someway bc Gabby with a little more work and difficulty has a better chance at an all around title.
Guys this was only practicing she only did tht dismount to warm up its actually a double layout get ur facts straight shes in the olympics she wouldnt do tht in a competition:-)

I don't feel comfortable personally having her on the team if thats something that can happen....especially if we wanna win a gold in London.....#justsaying.

Well she was an alternate but still outscored everyone in competition.
she didnt compete with the others for rankings. hers was just an exhibition. i do love her, but her beam was not this clean.
