i can do a backhandspring now! trust me it's not easy I tried to ask this boy jp if he could watch me and stuff but he bailed on me! sometimes guys are straight up jerks!
they do this so the audience who doesn't understand scoring know what the judges will deduct for. this sport they start out with a perfect score and get deducted from there.

Janet B I don't think we disagree on who looks good and who doesn't...I think we just have a difference of opinion on the pulling together of the Olympic team. I've been watching/partaking since 1976 and have just learned to never try to call the team any more than 6 months or so beforehand. I apologize...but just get heated when it vseems someone thinks they have it all figured out,,, no one could or would have predicted the rei teamn more than a year before. We also seem to disagree on consistency and stability and experience (proven under pressure) , and who looks good at the moment. But we do agree to love the sport

I am a gymnast and a ballet dancer. I hope to be in the next olymoics. All you need to do is just strech out you legs. Take some dance classes and yoga.
***** Just an observation. If you've followed the history of gymnastics in the past it was a very body conscious sport. Young gymnast would starve themselves and go on special diets to maintain/have that mega-petite frame. It was thought that girls with smaller frames like Nadia Comaneci performed better and had a competitive advantage. Now with recent gymnastics that's been proven to be untrue. When I was growing up in gymnastics I was considered too thick. Newer gymnast have opened up the doors for different body types.

I love gymnastics and yes Gabby is gifted. I was watching a show today about people who have strange addictions. This one girl likes to take pictures of herself with celebrities. She had thousands. She was waiting on Gabby to get off a plane in N.Y. This girl waited 4 hours. When the van pulled up with Gabby in it, it pulled in a garage and the door shut. She refused to take a picture with that girl. Now that I know how she really is I don't care much for her now. Gabby said she wanted to be an actress. Well, she could of ACTED like she gave a damn and just let her take the picture. Leap of faith my ass!!! Some people don't deserve what they have. Yea she worked extremely hard but you don't have to be a bitch about it!!!
So we should expose ourselves to everyone, whether we know them or not; whether they are sane or not? Unfortunately, the world isn't as safe as it once was, and we all have to be careful now. It's one of the prices we pay for fame, but in Gabby's case, she wasn't seeking fame, she was following a dream. No one should discount that.
Personally I wouldn't have taken a picture with her either. The woman probably looked kind of scary and Gabby's still just a kid, so would you expect her to go out and put herself in such a scary position as to open herself up to that sort of person? Who knows, maybe she didn't feel well or was having a bad day. But at that moment all I was thinking was why won't she just make someone's day? You can't make everyone happy and if she always said yes than she would never have time for herself. You should look up tutorials. And back handsprings are hard. You need a lot of experience with backward floor skills first. :)
