Neroon is one of the few characters who radically changed in Babylon 5 and I like him the entire time. His sense of honor lead him from delenn number one opposition to a reliable supporter.
This was an interesting part of B-5. Not only did characters change and develop as time passed, but entire cultures did as well. The Minbari evolved the way they saw themselves and how they related to the rest of the universe. The other main races did as well, some for good, some for bad.
Naroo had been wrong about a lot of things and he was now acknowledging those mistakes. That was why Daleen would come to trust him in resolving the civil war on their home.
It's worth noting how much of Marcus's blood is on that staff. Makes you wonder how much was spread all over that room they fought in ... and how little was left in his body.
Valen had two titles, Entil'Zha and Anla'shok Na. Only Valen/Sinclair, Delenn, and Sheriden ever used the title Entil'Zha. Those three form the beginning, middle, and end of "The One". Other leaders of the rangers used Anla'shok Na (literally Ranger One). Zathras explains the entire "the One who was", "the One who is", and "the One who will be" thing during War Without End
You're right. but the specific saying of "Among the rangers" has more spiritual significance as someone of worthy of dedicating your life to rather than just the rank. Ivanova took over as Anla'shok Na but did not inherrit Entil'Zha because she did not have the spiritual leadership nor the inherent destiny and faith placed in her. I doubt she would have wanted it. Looking at it as Zathras said those three are the one of the next great story but that doesn't make the term exclusive to them
Actually she did, because she grew under Sheridan and had the same motivation to fight the 2 wars, shadow and civil, if Sheridan had died before becoming the One who will be, Ivanova would have taken his place , which is why the Shadows had to use Anna to turn John rather than outright kill him, they had nothing to hold over Susan’s head
@Brianboro67 I think that's true. En-til-za is subjective and very personal, that's why they say among the rangers. to the Rangers she is En-til-za, to the rest of the religious cast, Valen would be En-til-za. for all true Britons, the monarch stands as a focus of intention and the essence of what you believe in. The One worth living for and the One worth dying for. I think to Sheridan she was his En-til-za by this point and he wasn't even a ranger.
Why is there no clip of "there are beings in the universe billions of years older than either of our races. Once they walked among the stars like giants....?"
There was that in Season 1 where Dalen is talking with Kosh and Sheridan I think, they start out talking about the Shadows that came before all the others and walked among the stars like gods creating empires. Later in the series it is said that the Shadows and Vorlons are the same age, a bit confusing.
I don't understand the kind of fandom that considers an episode with such a significant turning point for some of the leading characters, as well as a recurring one, to be bottom tier worst of the worst. Big whoop if the actual Grey 17 plot was underwhelming. An actually bad S3 episode in my opinion is the one with the horrific parasites that latch onto people's backs 'because they lack purpose'. And I'm pretty sure it has almost no bearing on the main plot to boot. But that never gets brought up in such discussions. Even the plot with Lt Corwin not being a good candidate for the conspiracy is a moot point because literally two episodes later he sticks with Sheridan's decision anyway. So that was a whole lot of nothing.
Skull. Delen is the only Membari that doesn't have it because she underwent a transformation. Sorry man, 6 years no one answering your question triggered my autism.
I still don't get why B5 is the ugly duckling and most of the time forgotten when people talk about "space TV shows". It is, at least just as good as Star Trek and Battlestar Galatica, and I've loved it since I watched the first episode all those years ago
I tried to watch it when it was broadcast. It was like they deliberately tried to make you miss it on TV. I ended up stopping and going back later to see it in reruns.
Many of those in positions of influence felt it was common knowledge that only _Star Trek_ could succeed as a space show or sci-fi show. But they didn't know that before _Star Trek: The Next Generation_ succeeded for so many seasons (1987-1994). It's too bad that they had to copy _Babylon 5 (1993-98)_ simultaneously and try to divide sci-fi fandom with _Deep Space Nine (1993-99)._ Even _Quantum Leap (1989-93)_ didn't last very long, though I had trouble finding new episodes when it came out. A few years ago they tried to divide the sci-fi fandom by putting 3 shows on at Sunday 9 PM and each said to watch theirs live. We had _The Walking Dead, Westworld,_ and I think _Timeless._
