The best of friends, these two.
Silver lining: this at least implies that Lennier had a decent childhood.
Almost certainly a healthier one than growing up Centauri nobility.
But ending was better for Vir.

I always wished that Vir, Lennier, Natoth, and maybe Corwin from the bridge had an episode where the were on their own without their bosses.
Just a day where the camera follows them around and we see some major story thing happening, but only from they're perspective. The only time the main characters are involved is when they're interacting with them.

Babylon 5 lower decks? I’d watch
Vir and Natoth could be constantly arguing and then the end of the episode could just be them waking up in bed together "how much did I drink last night?"
This is one of the many perfect scenes of Babylon 5. The two aids, who are from different cultures and have _very_ different bosses, in the end are not that different at all.
Yeah, both served their ambassadors but ultimately went their own way. Lennier, who served a good person, made a bad mistake and turned to darkness. Vir, who served a bad (or at least deeply flawed) person, did the right thing and ultimately came to lead his people.
Both have great chemistry
These two worked so well together. But Vir, who was a good man serving a bad person, rose to become Emperor of their people. Lennier, who served one of the very best people Babylon 5 ever produced, made a terrible mistake...

Too bad Na'Toth couldn't be there, it would have been sweet!
This simple short scene always reminds me of how brilliant B5 is …… and two perfect characters
One goes onto become Emperor and the other is destine to die during the Telepath Wars while taking out the PSI Headquarters. This was a great show and it is sad that many of the actors and actresses are no longer with us.
All our heroes died.
I thought Lyta took out the PsiCorp.
They may no longer walk the Earth with us, but they still live in our hearts.

And then Lennier would shake his head and say "Been there, done that."

I love this scene. Vir and Lannier are there for everything and most of the time can only watch. I loved the two of them just hanging out for a bit and commiserating.

@@scionofdorn9101 I had that scene happen to me in real life. There are these two different vowels in Korean that sound exactly the same. My parents said there was a difference. When I asked them to demonstrate the difference, it played out _exactly_ like the scene with Ivanova and Zathros - including the expression on Ivanova's/my face.

LOL ... the connection of the lower down ranks .... If either of them drank (yes I know Vir drank later on at one time), this would have ended quite differently LOL
If memory serves there was another scene where they just sat down next to each at the bar, complained for about thirty seconds, then stood up and walked away;).
I love the way at the end of that exchange they just say "Same time next week?" and go their separate ways.
