Most entertainment will provide one or two hugely satisfying moments during it's course, usually revenge-related. Babylon 5 was resplendent in them, and they were all supremely satisfying. In my opinion it is simply the best sci-fi series ever made. It's certainly my favourite one, coming in above DS9 and Space: Above and Beyond.
yeah I liked Ivanova too....one of the funniest Franklin/Ivanova exchanges was the one where he was putting them all on diets and she had a diet that was supposed to help her gian some weight as he felt she was underweight and Ivanova's like "All m life I fought against imperialism and now all of a sudden i AM the expanding Russian frontier" and Franklin is like "with very nice borders" LOL...it's a shame they killed off Marcus though....I loved his sense of humor and I think he would've been a good romantic match for Ivanova :(
'Only one man has faced the Mimbari fleet and survived. *He* is behind me. *You* are in front of me. If you value your lives, I suggest you be someplace else' (EA rather quickly turns and runs away...) There's a reason she dumped the man who would become Valen for Tron.. ;-)
The return of Number One aka Tess Halloran was one of the high points of season five. I've truly enjoyed Marjorie Monaghan's acting since seeing her on that little SF show which couldn't; Space Rangers (1993 ). Tough as nails resistance leader, but Tessa still found the time to give Doctor Franklin a happy - because God knows that poor guy needed it after all the hell he went through.
Shit, I'd have held the door for HIM! Reminds me of when I was checking into a hotel for a convention on Long Island in the mid 2000s. I don't remember if I asked the time, or was asked the time, but I found myself standing next to Peter Jurasik. You can imagine my eyes turning into full on jumpgates.
Favorite character in the whole show full of awesome characters. My favorite scene was when he shot the speaker in the elevator after the AI kept nagging him.
It's a damned good job she never heard MY thoughts about her because there'd have just been a small, greasy stain on the lift floor where I used to be standing. :)
This one scene alone proves how powerful with the right intelligence and contacts that Michael Garibaldi can truly be. Thank You Jerry Doyle for bringing Michael to life.
What he did to find a new board of directors was equally epic (if anyone else remembers)... he promoted the biggest whiners and complainers from around the office to the board and basically told them you have nothing left to complain about since you'll be making the decision from here.
Oh they will have plenty to complain about still, just now, it is also their job to work together to fix the things they complain about, even if the complaint is about him.
This was a good scene. There were a lot of scenes, to many to count, which I loved. One of my favorites when it was an episode or 2 before B-5 broke off where Garibaldi went to Security to confront the others. One said something about him not making a scene. I loved Garibaldi's smart response.
This will be interesting especially with the remaining cast being involved because the show at the end said there wouldn't be another Babylon station after 5. So im wondering how they are going to do that or if they are going to just retell the story with changes throughout it.
I love the Daffy Duck print on the wall in the backrgound. Reminds me that Michael Garibaldi was a Daffy Duck and Looney Toons aficionado! I salute you sir!
Season 5 had it's moments of "filling in the blanks", but so many moments of power. Strange that one small line from one episode is one of the most emotionally gut-shredding moments for me in the history of cinema. "Oh, look. The sun's coming up..." - Sleeping In Light
I've just got the mental image of him slipping in the shower, and suddenly 5 executives who haven't seen him in ten years just...start...BURNING money to make sure he gets medical treatment. Considering every implication is HE NEVER CANCELED THAT.
In a more complex and cynical world, those people were terrified stupid and took covert measures to assure no harm whatsoever, even accidental, comes to them, and in that clumsy process actually killed them.
This show was/is so awesome. So many wonderful dialogs, especially the lines from Garibaldi and Ivanova. :) I still keep trying to hook young viewers on this treasure trove.
From 2009 to 2020, my dear hometown of Ålesund in Norway had a second-hand shop, where visitors and customers could buy various books, magazines, films, records, CDs, etc. without paying dearly for the goods. It was in that second-hand shop I bought all 5 seasons of Babylon 5 and the movies, which I did in 2016/2017 ☺
A friend a I were reminiscing on this scene and he mentioned "But wait, what if they actually were to die in an accident, and the Board had nothing to do with it? I thought for a moment, and I responded probably how Garibaldi would from beyond the rim... "Three words....Not...my...problem. "
It's a shame they cancelled the Crusade spinoff, I think it would have been worthwhile to continue it and get that thing going. I enjoyed it once Ifinally got my hands on it, I can see that it wasn't perfect but most good series start slow and then everythign starts fallign into place as people find their places and the director makes adjustments etz.
The multi-season story arc and great writing kept me tuned in. It was a risky move at the time, but proved genius. May have forced ST DS9 to move in that direction as well (which boosted its viewership). These were amazing characters. RIP to all those no longer with us, and gratitude for the memories.
The guy in the back at 1:52 looks a hell of a lot like Elisha Cook who played Sam Cogley, Capt. Kirk's lawyer in the TOS ep "Court Martial," except he passed 3 years before this ep was shot.
Reminds me of a line from a movie " You think because I'm not a cop anymore means you're safe, well that just means I don't have to bother with all those rules of conduct anymore."
Sounds like Shaft to me, the one with Sam L. Jackson, could be mistaken but sounds good.
What movie was that...???

Disney, the MSM, Big tech, The Deep State
So saddened to hear about the death of Jerry Doyle. R.I.P. good sir, you will be missed.
Garibaldi's a total badass. What an awesome character.....
+Terry Long the only one to surpass him was/is commander ivonova
yeah I liked Ivanova too....one of the funniest Franklin/Ivanova exchanges was the one where he was putting them all on diets and she had a diet that was supposed to help her gian some weight as he felt she was underweight and Ivanova's like "All m life I fought against imperialism and now all of a sudden i AM the expanding Russian frontier" and Franklin is like "with very nice borders" LOL...it's a shame they killed off Marcus though....I loved his sense of humor and I think he would've been a good romantic match for Ivanova :(
that blonde lady is smokin' hot though :D Franklin was one lucky ba$tard xD
ruclips.net/video/Nw4DmUOL3mQ/видео.html I posted Marcus's bet on that aspect.
'Only one man has faced the Mimbari fleet and survived. *He* is behind me. *You* are in front of me. If you value your lives, I suggest you be someplace else' (EA rather quickly turns and runs away...)
There's a reason she dumped the man who would become Valen for Tron.. ;-)
thanks for posting this. i've been looking for this clip on youtube for some time now.
Gross.
@@janreznak881 What's gross, exactly?
Space Rangers also had Shang Tsung in it.
RIP Jerry Doyle. Thanks for all the amazing moments
I needed a break from the invasion news from the Ukraine. Thanks.
He held the door for me and my friends at a Dragoncon, it is one of the fondest memories I have.
@@JnEricsonx He was inside and opened the door for us, I was the only one who recognized him and it was as i was passing. I'm glad to have met him :)
@@termigasts5227 I met Peter, Andreas, Richard, Claudia. Would have loved to have met Jerry or Stephen.
Favorite character in the whole show full of awesome characters. My favorite scene was when he shot the speaker in the elevator after the AI kept nagging him.
I liked it when Talia smacked him one in the elevator - as he just stood behind her having mucky thoughts.
It's a damned good job she never heard MY thoughts about her because there'd have just been a small, greasy stain on the lift floor where I used to be standing. :)
it wasn't mocking thoughts. I'm pretty sure its was more towards "what an fine butt" lol
THAT...was some cold-blooded, Machiavellian shit. I love it!
Garibaldi always was such a badass lol.
I loved that sequence. Rewound and repeated it several times.
Garibaldi‘s being nice when he does it this way. His preferred method is out of airlock.
This one scene alone proves how powerful with the right intelligence and contacts that Michael Garibaldi can truly be. Thank You Jerry Doyle for bringing Michael to life.
First rule: Don't mess with Garibaldi.
What he did to find a new board of directors was equally epic (if anyone else remembers)... he promoted the biggest whiners and complainers from around the office to the board and basically told them you have nothing left to complain about since you'll be making the decision from here.
OH, and if you're wrong I'll eat you for breakfast.
It's how you solve problems.
I loved that scene!
Oh they will have plenty to complain about still, just now, it is also their job to work together to fix the things they complain about, even if the complaint is about him.
"Prove you can do better or I'll eat you whole"
I'm paraphrasing
and leave the cigars !!!! LMAO !!!!
Turn up the volume. I can't hear the dialogue. And I don't have a hearing problem.
All of Mr. Garabaldi's come-uppance events were good. Love it.
Sacked whilst participating in Zoom meeting...how very post COVID 😂
This was a good scene. There were a lot of scenes, to many to count, which I loved. One of my favorites when it was an episode or 2 before B-5 broke off where Garibaldi went to Security to confront the others. One said something about him not making a scene. I loved Garibaldi's smart response.
Garibaldi don't play, son.
u can't be nice to the people on Earth, c'mon this your first day in the solar system? It's Earth we talking about. they are not good people
Other Men play
Garibaldi kills
Can't wait for the new series to begin!
This will be interesting especially with the remaining cast being involved because the show at the end said there wouldn't be another Babylon station after 5. So im wondering how they are going to do that or if they are going to just retell the story with changes throughout it.
Bruce Willis was truly amazing in the role of Garibaldi..
Michael Garbaldi knows how to ruin careers like a BOSS!
A class act. You will be missed, Mr. Doyle.
I love the Daffy Duck print on the wall in the backrgound. Reminds me that Michael Garibaldi was a Daffy Duck and Looney Toons aficionado! I salute you sir!
as if being ousted wasn't bad enough, he had to leave his cigars behind. LOL
you say that like they were his to begin with.
He is such a BAD ASS.... couldnt imagine the show without him.
You could hear the masonry dropping down the board's pantlegs when Number One stepped into view. A wonderful sound, no?
Alternate title for this:
"Why you should NEVER piss off Mr. Garibaldi."
Loved "#1"; she was an awesome strong character.
Season 5 had it's moments of "filling in the blanks", but so many moments of power. Strange that one small line from one episode is one of the most emotionally gut-shredding moments for me in the history of cinema.
"Oh, look. The sun's coming up..." - Sleeping In Light
G'Kars Freedom Speech and Sinclair's reason why we should go and stay in the stars are mine.
No. No. No. No. No. Damnit, onions everywhere.
R.I.P. Jerry Doyle. AKA Mr. Garibaldi.
Was my favorite B5 character.
Ah, Garibaldi, Garibaldi:):), Rest in peace Mister Doyle.
That guy was in Die Hard !!!
That last bit, just to be petty, to slap the guy's face one last time. Epic!
One of my favorite scenes EVER!
@@Dowlphin yeah, that's like Heisenberg uncertainty working three overtime shifts, right?
When i first watched this I thought how did Orson wells get reincarnated.
This show was/is so awesome. So many wonderful dialogs, especially the lines from Garibaldi and Ivanova. :)
I still keep trying to hook young viewers on this treasure trove.
To paraphrase G'kar, Garibaldi never starts a confrontation unless he already knows how it's going to end.
From 2009 to 2020, my dear hometown of Ålesund in Norway had a second-hand shop, where visitors and customers could buy various books, magazines, films, records, CDs, etc. without paying dearly for the goods. It was in that second-hand shop I bought all 5 seasons of Babylon 5 and the movies, which I did in 2016/2017 ☺
That Mars resistance leader was so hot.
yeah.....Dr. Franklin was one lucky SOB
Seek her out on the last 2 episodes of season 4 on Andromeda.
Freya in Star Trek: Voyager....
To bad Space Rangers was so short lived. Was a great series.
She got the franklinfurter
A friend a I were reminiscing on this scene and he mentioned "But wait, what if they actually were to die in an accident, and the Board had nothing to do with it?
I thought for a moment, and I responded probably how Garibaldi would from beyond the rim...
"Three words....Not...my...problem. "
Garibaldi does not fire you, he convinces you to fire yourself.
Because what *he* will dish out will be... worse.
No matter how many times I watch this part...it still is just so dam satisfying 😌.
I just so loved this series and Micheal Garibaldi. Oh how I wish to do the same to some of my friend-enemies.
_"This cheque will be deposited on a secret account tomorrow morning!"_
Dies from food poisening at supper.
Lise deposits the check and informs the assassin's guild of what she wants to be done.
Garibaldi used Walter White's financial 'guarantee' over a decade earlier.
a small part of why that show sits beside Firefly as one of the absolute finest shows ever made.
"Ahhhhhh, my good friend Mr. Garibaldi"... [/Londo]
It's too bad those two never got to be friends again. Damn Drakh....
The thoughts going through those board members atm. 'I'm glad I'm wearing my brown pants'.
This gets better EVERY time I watch it.
Daffy.
The egyptian god of frustration ;)
It's a shame they cancelled the Crusade spinoff, I think it would have been worthwhile to continue it and get that thing going. I enjoyed it once Ifinally got my hands on it, I can see that it wasn't perfect but most good series start slow and then everythign starts fallign into place as people find their places and the director makes adjustments etz.
The actress you notice at 2:20 in this videoclip is also playing a episide called Heroes and Demons in Star Trek Voyager the holocharacter of Freya ☺
The multi-season story arc and great writing kept me tuned in. It was a risky move at the time, but proved genius. May have forced ST DS9 to move in that direction as well (which boosted its viewership). These were amazing characters. RIP to all those no longer with us, and gratitude for the memories.
RIP Jerry. Thanks for the leg up, man.
The guy in the back at 1:52 looks a hell of a lot like Elisha Cook who played Sam Cogley, Capt. Kirk's lawyer in the TOS ep "Court Martial," except he passed 3 years before this ep was shot.
Gone too soon. RIP Jerry Doyle. :'(
