    I'm glad you put in the point about gluing it on that thing is a mother you basically have to hold the plate onto it as you align it. This is definitely not a novice repair.

    My starter isn't spinning sometimes. I thought it was my battery or alternator, but I had them checked and they are good. So I'm thinking it's the starter. I'm also wondering if it could be my ignition switch or my gear changer. It seems like if I mess with the gear shift and make sure it's in park the car starts better, but sometimes it seems like the battery is weak. I guess it could be a bad wire too. I did clean my battery connections. I'm not sure exactly where the problem could be. Just started doing this a week or so ago

    it easy to get an small ratchet with head adapter and extension, for the top bolt, there is not enough room to turn the ratchet, if is small will get more turn

    Workin on a friends van that’s the exact same vehicle . It makes no noise when I turn the ignition over , but it makes the dinging noise when i insert the key . Starter solenoid maybe ?

    • @TheTeddy214
      @TheTeddy214  4 года назад

      that dinging noise is only to let you know your key is in ... 1st make sure battery has a good charge .2nd you might have to bench test as i did in video

    • @levicallis459
      @levicallis459 4 года назад

      Already did the battery , so power is there . Checked fuses and not seeing anything bad

      @@lordronthepimp You should be able to tap it or move it. Maybe gently pry it with a long screwdriver. (Make sure not to pinch or cut any cables while you do it.)

    why would this work for a 2006 same gen?

    • @zsoltnp4758
      @zsoltnp4758 2 года назад +1

      It might work, but the starter may look slightly different. Make sure you buy the right one. If it's not the right one, like I have just ordered one that did not look the same, the insides were the same, so I swapped out the motor itself and the solenoid which was badly worn and corroded inside. Once I switched it out to new parts, it's working. So, basically these starters come in two casings. When put side by side, they look almost like a mirror of each other. The screw holes are aligned differently, so you can't use one in place of another, but everything else inside looks the same.
