I believe the problem with the starter motor is the end bushings which have worn elliptical as it sits normally mounted. The rotor then shorts out to the armature, causing a dead short. had the same sort of problem with a 1980 dodge maxi van. All the Best.
bigolmoose69 I'm gonna take the starter with me to get the new one..I will have them test the starter before I just buy a new one to rule out electrical problems..I am almost positive it's the starter though. It has had this problem for like a year where sometimes it will just click and not turn over, but if you keep trying it it would eventually go ahead and crank. But, not this time! lol
Very helpful thank you very much. Do you happen to have a diagram of the firing order of the spark plugs. I've recently purchased a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3 L engine (SE Trim) I believe
great vid. good. effort on filming. pretty sucessful. some comments. good idea taking of the breather. i personally did the quarter.turn dance. put something over that intake. ive dropped bolts iside of carbs. arbor freight has extensions under 10 .
I just read on the internets that MO got hit pretty bad with storms. I hope all is good in your neck of the woods. I had an old GMC Jimmy that had one spark plug that was impossible to get too, even with a universal joint extension. I ended up breaking the spark plug off. When I went to trade the thing in, they said I had a dead cylinder. I just acted surprised.
Thanks a million. It was 28 degrees outside. This video saved me a lot of time!!!! Didn't have to remove the Battery, just disconnect the terminals ;)
Oh thank God! Finally someone got a good video of how and where this damn thing is to change it out! My hat is off to you my friend!
Thank you for your knowledge
