  • Inchkeith Island, near Edinburgh, has a dark history, and was dubbed 'quarantine island' as a result of what it was used for many years ago.

    Wondered about this island that I could see from the castle when visiting Edinburgh. Now I know. Reminds me of the Greek island, Spinalonga, that was used from 1904, as a leper colony.

    I found 11 guns and ammunition on this island about 20 years ago and they are still there in a box full of wool .
