Boys it sounds to me that the old girl has dropped a cylinder or two. Probably why she is smoking so much… not the turbo. Good luck. Thanks for the video. Love to see the old machines working.
I ran a TD25 in the early 90's. That beast would push 35 tons of shot rock to grade in one pass. Leaked a lot at the blade valve but it was a great machine.
Thumbs up. Man and his machines. Steel beast imposing its will upon the earth! Much fuel was consumed making this video. An animal or two had to relocate. This should be mandatory watching as part of a snowflake re-education program.
That is one badass dozer. Love all that black smoke coming out as them trees are being pushed over. Dang near made me cream my jeans haha. Smokes more than my 7.3.
I spent darn near 23 yrs on those 20's & 25's, seriesB,C,E & G's dozers as well as scraper tractors, with cable control not hydraulic for the scrapers..Actually have about 14 of the 20's & 25's in the yard still..Fine older tractors!! The newer equipment is nice for creature comforts, but, when electronics start going out,the older mechanical equipment just keeps going lol..
@@thebalerman Komatsu bought out Dresser so they could use those modular final drives on their own crawler dozers. Because they were a better design. Then they sold Dresser to the Polish government. We bought a new TD 15E Dresser in 1999, and the serial # tag said- Made in Poland.

Nice machine, however, it sounded like it was only running on 5 cylinders. An exhaust valve may be too tight, or possibly burnt. Beast of a machine. I love the old iron.
Sounds like a very sick engine and it's over fuelling badly should blow smoke like that operated TD25s for some time myself they went a very reliable machine good while they were going but too much downtime
I've been around a lot of old and new they'll dozer sounds good but it still sounds like it's got a Miss to me I'm on the way down a couple td25c and they was ancient
The numbers are in. In the United States, which contains 8 percent of the world's forests, there are more trees than there were 100 years ago. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), "Forest growth nationally has exceeded harvest since the 1940s.
Seems as though that dozer had little problems pushing over trees. I’ve seen other videos where other machines had difficulty pushing over similar sized trees. This dozer seems like a real breast.
This dozer is a beast. I know there’s a ton of comments saying it’s about to blow but she’s strong. I think it has some valve issues. I haven’t tied into it yet but hope to before I use it next. She’s old but can push a lot of dirt and some good size trees and make quick work of it. For reference this dozer is a little larger than a D8 cat of the same vintage.
That 25 should not have that popping in the exhaust. Sounds like you may have an exhaust valve that is way to loose. That will make it pop because the valve is opening late.
Nice machine but man she’s hot, probably time for the injectors to be rebuilt. Not to expensive about 300 bucks if you remove them and ship them off. Much cheaper than pistons and a overhaul
Nice video of a great old dozer and good to see it doing some work, but I think I might be hearing a leaking exhaust valve there. I don't mean to criticize, but it might be worth checking, just in case.
Yeah I’m going to be checking it out before I run it again. I did check it with a temp gun and all barrels were the same temp at exhaust, I thought I’d find one out of wack but didn’t.
Yikes that sucks. This one runs pretty good and not low on power, I’m thinking the sound has to be a valve or something. I know a lot of people are saying it’s about to blow and bad whatever but it sounds worse than it is. I put a new exhaust manifold on it because it was busted when I got it.
Sorry I hadn’t seen your message. I’d say a decent running machine would be 10-20k. Really depends on undercarriage and everything. New undercarriage would cost more than the machine is actually worth. This thing is worth more to me then i would get if I sold it.
@@thebalerman Valves were my first thought based on what I could hear through my phone speaker, but looking at the dusk footage of the exhaust flames and smoke throughout made me think pump timing, maybe worth a check if you haven't already as that would give a pretty even temp across heads/manifold, although I wouldn't be surprised if a few valves were coked up. Great seeing the old girl running though 👍🏻 makes me wish I still had my old BTD6's and Drotts, keep up the good work.

Very nice dozer
There’s something really cool about watching a bulldozer at work, gets me every time, great video mate
Used similar model over 30 years ago great dozers .that one is over feuled or a sick valve or injector it's doing it harm .but hay very impressing

Thats a super clean machine . Nice job .
What a beast! Pint of diesel goes up the stack every time he throttles up, blowing coal.....
Thanks it’s done well
So cool to see this girl come to life and still be able to work.
That exhaust pipe makes a hell of a cigarette lighter. Nice job. Old is Gold.
HI FROM THAILAND 🇹🇭🇹🇭🙏🙏🥰🥰 GOOD VIDEO

What's the sound exhaust leak or sticky valve
Turbo isn't working right. To much black smoke. My little 1010 JD all you see coming out the exhaust is heat.

It is criminal to run a machine with a bad hole like that.
