That video was very pleasing to me - it reminds me of my late father, who was a civil engineer for a long time, and was extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of earthmoving equipment. One of my fondest memories is from 1972, and the day before my ninth birthday. Dad took me to a site where land was being reclaimed to make a new port facility on a local river. He asks me if I'd like to have a go in a bulldozer (a Caterpillar D-8). Not just a ride, he says, You can drive it. And he shows me how to drive it. The proper driver sits next to me, because one of the pedals is a bit stiff, but for half an hour or so, whilst dad does paperwork in the site office, I trundle up and down the muddy site, with the driver reading a newspaper next to me, occasionally stamping on the sticky pedal. Best birthday present ever. As we leave the site, dad turned to me, and said: "Don't tell your mum". And I never did. All the sounds of your International, the squeaks, clanks, and roars, are so evocative.
You probably dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my gf lately =)
I work for the railroad and on my route I pass a TD25 with a cab. It’s been sitting under a bridge for as long as I’ve worked there. It’s sad to see such a beast just sitting.
Hey Cody, do any of those rocks you dig up have any flint among them? I live in southern Utah and I can't find a good flint source anywhere around here.
I find it amazing how you can take something all run down and broken, and polish things up, make what seems like simple repairs and it's soon running happily.
The view around the 7:30 mark is awesome! I was taken aback at how beautiful the pile of rocks was, once the dust settled and the compression artifacts subsided. Thanks for using a quality camera, i for one appreciated the high quality :)
Hey Cody, you are an amazing person with a great mind. I feel like we have so much in common but, you get to do everything that you can dream of (so to speak, and not complaining.) I love every video you put out, because I live vicariously though you. I'm low income and disabled, due to seizures. I have two kids and try to pass off all the knowledge I can, because I feel like that's one of the most important things I can give them. You help me learn so much and, keep me captivated through every video you produce ( you are in my top five favorite youtubers.) I want you to know you help me out so much mentally by creating videos, and you help out my two sons as well. Ok now to the point, I would love an autograph and was hoping that someday you could open a P.O. Box so I could get one from you. You are a very intelligent youtuber, who has a very awesome personality.
Cody I just want to say I found you precious metal videos months ago and I been hook every since I watched all your bee keeping, metal, and misc videos you have put out ever since even went back a few so I can know what you were about and I just want to let you know you are the best you tuber you put out quality content all the time and I wish you the best
Same brand and size but later model we used to burn around 45-55 liters an hour depending, Only corporate companies worry about fuel consumption, Most earthmovers/roadbuilders grading contractors only care about yard of dirt moved:gallon of fuel burned.
Cody, why did you remove your video of the laser moving tinfoil in a vacuum? I had a student ask if a photon has any mass. I went to show your video and it was gone. Can you put it back up?
that things a beast.. nice rig.. great video as usual..you have earned me watching full ads my friend. love the chemistry stuff most but all wonderfully done thank you
WD-40 I'm pretty sure would only lubricate it temporarily. You want a lubricant like oil if you want it to last more than a few days or weeks. Also be careful if you try to lubricate plastic gears with WD-40 or PB Blaster, I ended up breaking some plastic gears by doing that.
Probably the kid in me that loved watching big machinery at work when I was growing up, but i was kinda hoping you'd post a video like this one after having seen your rebuild work completed. Good machine :)
You could make another youtube channel. Big bulldozers run over stupid shit. Start with watermelons, scrap metel, iphones, cars, lawyers, politicians...
My dad had one in central UT for many years finals and undercarriage are weak links. 817 eng is bullet proof. Replaced it with 7 G can find cheap if watch and wait and there much better tractor. Cool video, fun to see old iron working
+ShadowZ Kuisis Budget cuts to the councils and local authorities (who are the ones who run the libraries). Only the larger ones seem to be open these days
***** That's what "they" say, but in are local council there are half a dozen people on 100,000+ a year so I suppose it depends on perspective. It's just modern day book burning as far as I'm concerned especially for the many older and younger people without any internet access.
I would build a dust free cabin on that dozer, the external frame would make the job much easier, using plexiglass in many areas will maximize vision but small video cameras can be used as well. That would be a cool project Cody
AHHH just fanboyed a little. You're an inspiration and someone i really respect and look up to. But yeah it was probably a teaser clip but i may be mistaken.
+Cody'sLab hey Cody I really enjoy all your videos you've actually inspired me to keep going with all my random experiments and projects that my family just thinks is nonsense
nice to see people using old iron for what they are meant to do. work.. squeaking or not.. people don't realize older work horses are all metal, not half plastic they groan and squeak but doesn't phase the machines. i'm absolutely amazed to see how much Cody does, no complaints jumps right into pretty much everything and just does it.
Beautiful old girl, could do with a fuel pump overhaul, she's over fueling, especially noticeable in reverse. Awesome video and good operating skills by father and son 😎👍😎
Man I could get into that dozer. .. moving all that Terra looks like great fun. I'd have to jump down a few times to look at them rocks I'd be fossil hunting. watching you I can smell that ground breaking open. Excellent video. Loved it....

Dude thats a sick story, I would have died to do that even now, let alone as a kid
Mine only ever diddled my bum
I love the sound of that engine!!!!
Holy smokes! That machine is a lot bigger then I realized. Great work.
Seams to be pushing good. Always a great feeling when all the work you put into a machine, results in a hard working piece of equipment.
You probably dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my gf lately =)
@Deangelo Cesar yup, I've been using instaflixxer for months myself :D
@Deangelo Cesar yup, have been watching on instaflixxer for years myself =)
I work for the railroad and on my route I pass a TD25 with a cab. It’s been sitting under a bridge for as long as I’ve worked there. It’s sad to see such a beast just sitting.
You have a bunch of cool old cars. I would love to just seen walk around and some history of the "ranch"
Sorry meant see not seen
You can edit your comments now.
I second this! I would love to live on land with this much history in my family!
+Alexander Mitchell Not on your phone..
+JEDi Gamer true.
Arguably, the second best video I’ve watched in six months.
Big toys, explosives, and precious metal mines. Everything a growing boy needs. Which state?
utah
you said big toys, but one also needs big ''toys'' ;)
an excellent comment.
Utah
utah / the middle of fucking nowhere if u saw the meteorite vid.. ;)
That engine sound!
Oddly soothing...
I'm gonna call this thing rubber ducky. it's big, yellow, and squeaky
I like that!
Comment of the year my friend lol, nice.
you must now refer to this beast as the rubber ducky in your videos please!
I'm one of 110 000 people watching dirt being pushed around. I love it
The pinnacle of modern entertainment: watching a bulldozer video on the interwebz
Cody with growing up on a cattle farm and seeing the previous rebuild video, brings back so many many memories, much love to you and your life dude!
Hey Cody, do any of those rocks you dig up have any flint among them? I live in southern Utah and I can't find a good flint source anywhere around here.
No flint but there is lots of chert.
Will chert still strike a spark against carbon steel?
yes
how do I identify it?
no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chert
Dude. Athleast try to google it...
I find it amazing how you can take something all run down and broken, and polish things up, make what seems like simple repairs and it's soon running happily.
I'd love to see a video about how to drive it. What all of the pedals and levers do. Thanks.
Use google
You would need to know the model, at least.
+ravemastaj It's in the video Title ;)
Crazy Cheese
Derp :P
ravemastaj you say it like it isn't in the TITLE OF THE VIDEO....
Cody you should do the water bottle flip with mercury
Interesting idea.
How cool that you and your dad know how to fix it, what a beast. Real tree stump pusher, love the low RPM power, thanks.
It's literally awesome how bulldozers can just cut through the earth as if it were sand.
earth is sand.stones is just biggers sand.
+twoja stara dirt is not sand rocks are before sand and are grinder away over time so it is a lot stronger than sand
Or is sand just smaller stones??? Oh, the questions of the cosmos.
That's why I love heavy machinery
+chaza , I think what twoja meant was that the stones are essentially large pieces of sand.
The view around the 7:30 mark is awesome! I was taken aback at how beautiful the pile of rocks was, once the dust settled and the compression artifacts subsided.
Thanks for using a quality camera, i for one appreciated the high quality :)
Wheres the little time lapse outro felt so strange not seeing one, also the intro
My day is always a little bit better when i see a new videos from this channel :)

P.s I love how everything is true to life, instead of dressed up like most of RUclips.
Cody give this man his autograph!
***** Fuck off m8
+GroomLakeGamer yo check out his "a bomb" playlist it's top quality stuff
I'm pretty sure he can write. +jacob piekarski
Thanks for posting. My brother used to do that for a living before he passed. Used to tease him about playing in the dirt.
What were you moving all that dirt for? It looked to me like you were creating a path/road?
he is fixing his road
i think you are correct
think he said they are making another driveway. 2 miles long..
+Shane Hildebrand oh damn. yeah i figured it'd be something like that.. cheers
***** cheers buddy 🍺
Me and my grandpa bought a TD 25 this spring and worked on it and now it works great
I couldn't help but think of "Tremors" watching this.
Such a good childhood favorite
Good shows
ColdTopic [Nightcore] I was referring to the Kevin Bacon movie.
Bro, we all know the glory of Tremors. All those that don't, are assclowns.
+Sean Harris go fuck your self
There is always something satisfying about watching heavy machinery doing their job and seeing the results.
7:13 we now observe the wild bulldozer in his natural habitat. It appears he has spotted us and is making a show of force.
Cody's channel has grown tremendously through the Summer. Great to see so many more subscribers.
Do you hear something? Because all I hear are seagulls nesting. "SKREECH, SKREECH."
Hey Cody all your videos are my cup of tea!!!! Knowledge is power!!!
Uploading this RUclips video at the library...best use of public money ever!
He's probably at his school library. Which he pays for.
He has an insanely low data cap as well
How can you feel bad for him when he clearly doesn't need the Internet to entertain himself
actually that library has to pay for that internet regardless of the usage... so not using it would be a waste of public money !
You guys did an awesome job rebuilding that 6 banger. It’s amazing how much power it has! Great vlog!
4:11 "he scares me more than you do!"
LOL

How much diesel per hour are you burning with that monster?
Same brand and size but later model we used to burn around 45-55 liters an hour depending, Only corporate companies worry about fuel consumption, Most earthmovers/roadbuilders grading contractors only care about yard of dirt moved:gallon of fuel burned.
Thank you for educating us with your videos Cody, truly appreciate every video you upload.
Cody, why did you remove your video of the laser moving tinfoil in a vacuum? I had a student ask if a photon has any mass. I went to show your video and it was gone. Can you put it back up?
In a while I needed to fix a few things, in the mean time here is an excellent video on the subject: ruclips.net/video/QICCrlmBjvY/видео.html
I will say that photons do not have a rest mass like other particles do, they do however have energy and energy is mass by E=MC^2
What a dream brother. My father got excited to put a driveway in the 1 acre lot he has. Can't imagine this is person
are you moving dirt for the sake of moving dirt - or is there a potential outcome which you haven't told us about?
I think minecrafters would call it "terraforming"
Silly sno
+Cody'sLab Much dust, very rock, total doze. Wow
So ether another water shed, or maybe a road to / cody future house?
Dark Cloud784 Such amaze, so noise, good dig, many rock
i love all your videos and i went to school to be a heavy diesel mechanic, love watching this old girl work
I feel incomplete without Cody saying bye at the end :/
These are my favorite type of videos of yours, thanks!
It's an old bulldozer, but it gets the job done.
because old is good (most of the time)
like food
at least it won't shock you
*****
:-)
electronicsNmore because older is usually better, and sounds way cooler
Love watching the old dozers at work. Thanks for sharing
Good ol' international tractors... They're the best there are!
International crane trucks aren't near as good though..
Cody all your videos are my cup of tea. Keep up the awesome work!
Cody you should do a video on what happens when you put liquid nitrogen in a vacuume.
meh thats been done, now oxygen that'd be cool!
+Cody'sLab that would be cool to see, I wonder how liquid oxygen reacts to very high pressure
+Gmrads u mean Low pressure
it would return to its gas stage, and briefly go into solid stage due to heat loss
that things a beast.. nice rig.. great video as usual..you have earned me watching full ads my friend. love the chemistry stuff most but all wonderfully done thank you
Still a better love story than Twilight
Here is some Sage advice. When it comes right down to Push and Shove, Cody really makes the Cut...
this thing could of use some WD-40
more like 50 gallons of lithium grease lol
She runs well for an old girl though.
*grease
+sirgallium I don't think that a machine this old would have any plastics, just rubba.
Wow that thing is no joke. It's a BEAST! Think about just how much force that it creates. It's pretty amazing.
cody every video you make is my favorite. me and my friend joke about you making life out of tin foil and gum.
Probably the kid in me that loved watching big machinery at work when I was growing up, but i was kinda hoping you'd post a video like this one after having seen your rebuild work completed.
Good machine :)
That's not a bulldozer, that my good sir is a mouse.
Man I miss that sound she's a beast. Ours could push a stump pile the size of the house. Awesome job resurrecting that old hunk of iron back to life.
can you put a gun on the front so you can shoot zombies then runover them.
fuck off
+Bottleman 10120 chill brah
+Bottleman 10120 That was uncalled for
+Bottleman 10120 F'real. Relax bro.
he's just a kid lay off man
Well, nothing like a day of playing bulldozer! Loved it Cody.
Oops I dozed off!!
badum tiss
thats bull right there
Codys lab is the best youtube channel ever
You could make another youtube channel. Big bulldozers run over stupid shit. Start with watermelons, scrap metel, iphones, cars, lawyers, politicians...
He's too smart to do that bullshit
I dunno...might get a lot of views...
+0909asd0909 racist

You're lucky the have such a decent Library, the government in the UK have shut down nearly all are Library's
Howcome?
+ShadowZ Kuisis Budget cuts to the councils and local authorities (who are the ones who run the libraries). Only the larger ones seem to be open these days

It's just modern day book burning as far as I'm concerned especially for the many older and younger people without any internet access.
Go ahead and blame EU for that as well
that's sucks at least you have the internet to buy books from but they do cost money sadly
she's a fine Ole girl fellers ya did a fine job of bringing that Ole girl back to life!! ty my hats off to you all! great vid!
Do a video where you paint it and clean it up
Awesome work on fixing up that bulldozer! You and your dad are very talented!
You are a very nice person. I thank you on how polite you are. Love your video
Im a simple man, I see cody, i click.
That thing is a beast! Running like a champ too. Looks so dry there, and rocky
You should see it now (over a month since this was filmed) it hasn't rained.
I have never wanted to drive a Bulldozer more in my life!
I would build a dust free cabin on that dozer, the external frame would make the job much easier, using plexiglass in many areas will maximize vision but small video cameras can be used as well. That would be a cool project Cody
Brings me back to the days with my Ol caterpiller D7 cable dozer.
From rusting hulk to hefty bad-ass dirt mover ....... cool! Nice job Cody.
didnt we already technically see it working in a Cody's Mine video? Gotta watch em' all
maybe as a teaser clip
AHHH just fanboyed a little. You're an inspiration and someone i really respect and look up to. But yeah it was probably a teaser clip but i may be mistaken.
+Cody'sLab hey Cody I really enjoy all your videos you've actually inspired me to keep going with all my random experiments and projects that my family just thinks is nonsense
+Cody'sLab you're the reason I'm studying to be a geologist
Codys the reason I'm studying everything from semiconductors to the contents of urine
I am a mechanic in England and love this vehicle just the sound is amazing
That's a heck of a machine there! Looks like you did a fine job fixing it.
If it's not your cup of tea😂....every freaking cody's lab video is awsome ❤️❤️❤️
I don't know why, but I love the fact that you're at the library uploading your videos!
I love the sounds of those old Diesel engines
nice to see people using old iron for what they are meant to do. work.. squeaking or not.. people don't realize older work horses are all metal, not half plastic they groan and squeak but doesn't phase the machines. i'm absolutely amazed to see how much Cody does, no complaints jumps right into pretty much everything and just does it.
love that dump valve sound that thing makes!!! it's a BEAST
weathered yellow equipment looks so great.love the chips and rust.
I spent many hours running one of those as a kid.. exactly same sweet sound ;) good job !
I love the old Harvesters. I used one on a rock job. No effort pushing 35-40 tons of shot rock. Noisy but fun.
It's great to see that old dozer fixed up and pushing dirt again.
That sir is a beautiful piece of machinery!
Cody seems so genuinely nice. Keep up the good videos!
The old Inters were tough machines, beautiful sound.
You look like you're controlling the giant spider from Wild Wild West. I approve of this look for you. +1 awesome points to cody.
Beautiful old girl, could do with a fuel pump overhaul, she's over fueling, especially noticeable in reverse. Awesome video and good operating skills by father and son 😎👍😎
I love this video. Now we know how strong your bulldozer is. It passed the test with flying colors :)
Nice...been waiting for this. Loved the compressor vid too
Memories! I operated a TD 25 in the 60's building logging roads in the HIGH COUTRY-MORTON WASH
Cody has got to be my favorite RUclipsr
The turbo sounds awesome on this bulldozer!
Man I could get into that dozer. .. moving all that Terra looks like great fun. I'd have to jump down a few times to look at them rocks I'd be fossil hunting. watching you I can smell that ground breaking open.
Excellent video. Loved it....
thanks for the lengthy video, love it.
This tool Cody is a game changer,
How cool to have access to your dad's awesome collection of equipment!
