  • Comparing the OnePlus 8T vs the 8 Pro, to see how the new flagship stacks up to the most recent Pro smartphone for camera smarts, performance, battery tech and specs. Now that the OP8T has replaced the OP8, should you grab this new phone or go with the larger, older model?
My long term review of that handset just went live and my full OnePlus 8T unboxing is also up, if you want an in-depth tour of this fresh handset - while my OxygenOS 11 tips guide reveals the best new features coming to that Pro device soon.
No matter your choice, you get plenty of power. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 chipset powers both blowers, with the X55 modem adding 5G smarts. Games like PubG and CoD Mobile play like a dream, with the Game Space tool adding useful features on top. However, the OnePlus 8T seems to be a bit more capable in the camera department so far, offering realistic colour reproduction and strong HDR smarts. You also have Warp Charge 65 tech, although only the Pro's battery can be boosted wirelessly.
You get a 120Hz display either way, although the Pro also packs Quad HD Plus visuals. And while the OP8T already comes with OxygenOS 11 and the latest Android out of the box, this slick software will hit the older phone soon enough.
So that's how the latest OnePlus mobiles stack up for specs, camera tech, power and the rest. Have a gander at my long term Pro review for all you need to know about this beast.

The first phone to recieve Oxygen OS 11 is one plus 8 series and this guy still compare with old software, What the hell dude 💥. One plus 8 pro is still best because the only plus point i see in one plus 8t is they got 65watt charger. Other all point goes to one plus 8 pro. They got IP68 water resistant, latest camera model with better spec, Wireless charging, big screen, curve display, Ram is LPDDR5 where OP8t have LPDDR4. One plus 8 pro is far better than one plus 8t. Dont buy op8t by watching this video. If you have any plan to buy op8 pro. Go for it. I got Oxygen11 before the release of op8t 🤦. This video is utter nonsense. If you dont believe me see it by urself. Just google it

OnePlus One Cyanogen Mark still running smooth :D However since very few weeks the battery lost it's fast charge ability. Also, capacity dropped dramatically at around same time and only 1-2h gaming and maybe 3-4h RUclips. And finally connecting wifi makes the phone reboot sometimes.

The one plus 8t gets really hot when playing call of duty or games like that. Of course it's normal but it's heat is focused to the corner of the device near the camera and the rest of the phone is cool to the touch. This makes using the phone great as it never feels hot, until it's in landscape mode, and then comes the heat. It was actually so hot I had to move my hand awkwardly to avoid the heat because it was burning my hand.

Besides the warp 65W with will degrade the battery way more than 30w and the flat screen i don't see any reason to get the 8t as the price argument as you can see you pay more but you get more

I've had a OnePlus 2, 5, 7Pro (Current Phone) & Nord, will be giving the 8T Pro a miss, as the 9 next Spring will be a brand new phone. I think my next OnePlus phone will be either the 9 (2021) or the 10 (2022).

Not strictly true about Bluetooth headphones only. Quite a few makers include a usb c to 3.5mm adapter with the phone. I have ordered the 8T to replace my Nokia 7.2. On the One Plus website an adapter is not mentioned. So I have purchased one from Amazon.
This cost all of £7.97 , and it includes a DAC as well !! . I have tried on the Nokia which has a type C port as well as a 3.5 mm headphone socket. I have done a A B comparison, and the DAC is very slightly better. What do you expect for the price.
The 8T arrives on Wednesday next week. Should be interesting. It’s the 128 Gb version.
